We did not really see the grounds that night when we drove in. We had to 'self check-in' and found our room. We were pleasantly surprised at how great the room was. We had a wood burning stove, flat screen TV, huge bed with comfy bed linens, and a huge private bathroom. The next morning we woke up to the smells of breakfast. We made it out to the dining room and there was a delicious spread along with the owners serving us and making plenty if conversation. We really enjoyed it. After breakfast we took a walk around the property, WOW. It was amazing. The farm is so pretty and truly a great spot for leaf peeping. I can't wait to go back next year!!

They greeted us in the lobby and introduced themselves first which made us all comfortable. We appreciated that they asked if we'd be ok with a male masseuse instead of assuming. I had a mineral bath and it was so relaxing. The room was cozy, had dimming lights, and music playing. My bath attendant made sure the water temperature was good for me and she offered me a glass of wine while I soaked. On our way out, the staff gave the bride in our party some fresh sunflowers they picked up at the farmers market. It was such a sweet gesture. Would definitely use their services again.

This review is for the Inn only…read more While Maggie was welcoming, the Inn is need of a major overhaul. The small full size bed in the Stephen Medbery suite was like a brick, my husband and I found it difficult to sleep. The chairs on the porch have seen better days along with the carpeting and furniture in the Inn and room. The bathroom was tiny, the TV was at least 20 years old (with a DVD player), the tub was in the middle of the room along with a huge electric fireplace, tons of furniture and very little space to be comfortable. There was a fridge in the room but no other amenities were offered. WiFi didn't work during our stay either. Would not recommend staying here. There are better options elsewhere for sure. Especially at the price we paid ($250 a night). Also - if you really look at their website (which doesn't list much information about the rooms) they are using the same photo for all rooms listed.

We were greeted by a very attentive, prepared staff. The day unfolded like a finely tuned instrument. The Bride and Groom had certain expectations, and every detail, was spot on. The food!!! OMG! I cannot say enough about this venue, I would highly recommend it. Couldn't be happier for this couple, and their experience!

For starters, no one answered the door when we arrived to check in mid-afternoon, and--ONLY because we knew how to do this--we had to track down the innkeeper, Martha, via the back door. (After 7:30 pm, no one is there at all.) When Martha gave us our keys she declared that she had only these two, so we'd better give them back. Nice touch. I know an elevator cannot be installed, but could they not hire a high school kid to answer the door AND drag the luggage upstairs? As for the breakfast, the staff sets specific half-hour intervals for serving and then leaves your dish on the table to get cold if you don't arrive at the first moment. But the meal is not worth it, anyway: the same four mediocre and skimpy choices, offered every single morning; no cold cereal or fruit and muffins left out as an alternative; and we were warned that unless we filled out the breakfast order the night before we would get nothing, as the staff "cannot accommodate walk-ins." For this we paid megabucks???? I won't make this longer by cataloguing how wonderful this place used to be when it had a live-in and enthusiastic manager, but trust me, it was a real gem and everything one could want in a fine B&B. I know it's been sold and all I can figure is that the new owners tried to cut costs...such a shame.

He provides his guests with bikes, as well as umbrellas when it's raining. -- He thinks of everything. Further, Joe is an animal-lover. He was instrumental in founding a retirement place for race horses. The place is called Old Friends. It is for older horses who have completed their racing and breeding years. If you're here during racing season, the Springwater is literally across from the track. We have been on many carriage rides in different parts of the country, we can truthfully say this…read morewas the most enjoyable and informative ride we have had. The carriage and horse were in great condition. The driver was very friendly, neatly dressed, handled the horse so well we could tell they loved working together. We tried the special water, not sure it cured anything, but that was also a unique experience. The way the driver conveyed the history of the area made it all the more interesting. If we are back in the area we will book another carriage ride with Loon Meadow Farm.
