Say less. I was READY. Being the responsible planner that I am, I tried to reserve a lane ahead of time online...only to be prompted to pay $70 to reserve one bowling lane. On $2 Tuesday. My brain immediately went, "Ma'am, something is not mathing here." So instead of rage-clicking checkout, I messaged Midway Bowl for clarification. To their credit, they responded quickly and explained that daily specials are first-come, first-served only and can only be redeemed in person. Slightly annoying if you're driving any distance, but, we decided to roll the dice and show up anyway. We walked in and I was fully hyped for Mardi Gras bowling. I had been talking about this for DAYS. And then... Front desk guy: "No clue what you're talking about. Maybe the bar." Me, internally: Sir. The Facebook post. The graphics. The vibes. The expectations. None of this was a fever dream. Because literally, HOURS before I walked in the door, they posted on Facebook: "Today is the day! Come join us from 6-10 pm for our Mardi Gras themed $2 Tuesday!" I did not dream this up! But okay. It's fine. I'll throw my own Mardi Gras party in my head. No problem. There were Mardi Gras-themed drink names at the Sparetime Lounge bar, but it was packed thanks to trivia night, so we pivoted to snacks and bowling -- which ended up being the real MVP move anyway. Let me tell you about the snack bar because WOW. Two orders of tacos (four tacos total at $1 each), six boneless wings in garlic parmesan sauce ($2), a 12" pepperoni flatbread pizza ($8), and two fountain sodas ($3 each) came to a grand total of $20.84. And the food? Actually GOOD. Not "this is acceptable for a bowling alley" good -- legitimately good. Also shoutout to the snack bar staff member who immediately understood what I meant when I mentioned the $2 specials, because for a minute I thought I had collectively imagined the entire promotion. Bowling itself was an absolute steal -- two games plus shoe rentals for $12 total. And I have to say, Midway Bowl is probably the cleanest, most modern bowling alley I've ever stepped into. Bright, welcoming, lively -- none of that sad, dusty bowling alley energy. Someone clearly cares about this place. So here's the deal: the marketing got me excited for a full-on Mardi Gras themed experience, but in reality, it was just regular $2 Tuesday bowling with some festive drink names floating around. Which is totally fine -- just not quite the "Mardi Gras Edition" I had built up in my head. Would I go back? Absolutely -- just with adjusted expectations and maybe my own beads next time. The lanes are much smaller and kid like, so we did it for an hour, then switched over to regular bowling. The prices are higher online if you reserve a lane than if you just walk in. I called first to see how busy they were, and they weren't so we just paid there and saved a few dollars that way. We all had a good time because we made the most of it. We ordered pizza, chicken tenders, onion rings, and sodas all fairly decent what you would expect from a bowling alley. The place was very clean and so were the bathrooms. It was on a Sunday night so it seemed kind of quiet. I hope they get more business on other days and times of the week because this is a very nice place to go and it wasn't busy at all.

This is a small business running this arcade and it was a great experience. The age range of us are young adults around 18 and older. The games are like a snippet in the past. There are SpongeBob related games which feels like the 90's in the arcade. A lot of the games are ball-based or involve hitting your target. This is a refreshing difference of modern games which are very screen-based. The staff were amazingly friendly! They did a great job with working with us and many parents and kids coming in and out. There were a few ticket machine problems but the situations were rectified quickly. Also the staff gave tips and tricks for which games were most fun to play. But that satisfying clunk was always part of the video game experience. It also was helpful for understanding just how much a video game cost to play. Back in the old days, most games were a quarter. The super deluxe games were fifty cents. I remember the first time a game broke the dollar barrier. But if you have a preloaded card that cost $10 with 50 points, and one game requires 6.4 points to operate, how much does that game cost to play? And what if there are some games that cost fewer than four points, and other that need more that twelve? These kinds of swipe systems make it easy for people, especially kids, to burn through a lot of money in very little time. Thankfully, Tilt does have some all-you-can-eat pricing schemes. But these aren't always easy to figure out, especially for first time visitors. Nor is it clear just how valuable these deals might be to the newcomer who may be unaware that a ten dollar investment of fun, might last fewer than ten minutes. Let the buyer beware. That said, there are some truly cool games which are in very good condition, and which I haven't seen elsewhere. The place is clean, and there are many options for fun beyond simply video games--although the glow golf course is small, and bowling consists of just two lanes of candle pin bowling. Staff are pleasant and patient, especially with younger kids trying to redeem their precious few points at the redemption counter. It's hard to say if we'll return. The kids prefer the experience of tokens at the other game room nearby, where we've been going for years. They also prefer how the machines at the other place spit out wave after wave of physical redemption tickets when they do particularly well in a game of skill. Still, I think that the older kids might have a different take on Tilt if we were to get them an all-you-can-play pass at some point in the future. But on this first visit, even the kid in grade school couldn't believe how much money each game cost to play, especially in this era of high tech video games. But all that changes if you can score four hours of attractions and games for $20. Hopefully they will have a similar deal next time we're in town.

KFZ itself consists of a 12-lane bowling alley, laser tag, and arcade with floors on two levels. Liberty Arena consists of sporting fields, cages and a golf simulator and serves the general public's recreational needs and can be booked for private events.
