It is a hidden gem in Hershey and honestly, they have really fun games but overall I do like the aspect.

My friends and I were visiting in town in winter, and just gotta say it was a truly 10/10 experience. This is truly a hidden gem with this arcade. This is a small business running this arcade and it was a great experience. The age range of us are young adults around 18 and older. And the arcade games were fun for us as adults, so you can imagine your child would love it too. Please keep in mind we did not try the following: food, baseball cage, or mini golf area. The games are like a snippet in the past. There are SpongeBob related games which feels like the 90's in the arcade. A lot of the games are ball-based or involve hitting your target. This is a refreshing difference of modern games which are very screen-based. The staff were amazingly friendly! They did a great job with working with us and many parents and kids coming in and out. There were a few ticket machine problems but the situations were rectified quickly. Also the staff gave tips and tricks for which games were most fun to play. We had my daughter's 7th birthday party here in August 2024. We purchased the larger room. The gentleman we worked with was amazing. He was on top of everything. The kids had fun & the pizza was surprisingly great! My daughter is handicap and the building itself was accessible for her to be able to move around in. I highly recommend this location! read more

Challenge family fun center is a pretty decent mini golf course located close by to Hershey park. They have mini golf, and arcade, batting cages and duck pin bowling. I love mini golf, I play when ever I can and where ever I can. This course is better than average, but not the best I played on. The odd thing about this course is that it is 22 holes, not the standard 18. Of the two miniature gold courses near Hershey park, this is the harder of the two. The place is well kept for the most part and the holes are interesting, they make nice use of water and elevation changes. The course is also more open than the other one near by, so it did not feel as crowded. The landscaping is also nicely done on the course, a lot of flowers and other plants. Just an FYI you pay for the golf inside the main building, not at the shack located at the course. The arcade is token based, not ticket based. They have a nice selection of games, but the ticket cost are a bit high. After you complete your mini golf round they will give a you a few free tokens, so that is nice. I did not try the batting cages or the duck pin bowling. Overall I enjoyed the round of golf I played here, if you looking for mini golf in the Hershey are I would come here. It is the harder of the two in the area, so it might be better for slightly older kids. read more

I went here during a few extra hours I had to kill. I played some duck bowling and hit some balls in the batting cages. I had so much fun that I sent my wife a picture. She told me to stop having so much fun and get back to work. Either she is a total asshole or this place is so much fun that it makes people jealous that they aren't there. read more

We came here on a Wednesday evening just for some fun. We were staying from out of town and didn't know what was available. I'm so glad we came! It's definitely older but they have the grounds and facility very well kept up. They have ice cream. They have duck pin bowling and let me tell you our 6 year old loved it! Only $4/game. They also had a batting cage there and this made my day! I haven't done this in years. Only $3/16 balls! They also had a lot of games for us to play and win tickets. The guy at the counter was super friendly when explaining everything. I noticed they also are available for birthday parties and they even had it already set up! We went to Challenge Family Fun Center last night and encountered the kindness employees ever! My middle son won golf passes this school year for Do The Right Thing and we needed to get one more so all 5 of us could play. I was chatting with the older gentleman at the counter and told him how we won them and that I needed to buy one more pass, he said your son earned them go play and even gave the boys a voucher for 5 game tokens. I was taken back by just how kind and genuine that gesture was. Needless to say, we went in after play our round of golf and I bought a bucket of game tokens and let the kids play. That small gesture made our entire families night! We had a blast playing golf and the kids had fun in the updated arcade. Which is really nice, they did a great job! We definitely will be going back again. read more

So what do you get when combine mini golf, an arcade, duck pin bowling, and batting cages together? The hell if I know but it was sure fun finding out. We went very impromptu in August on a Thursday and overall the experience was pretty good although it's also a bit expensive. First off they've got a 22 hole mini golf course that was fun. I've seen more challenging courses, like over at Village Greens in Strasburg, but it wasn't bad. The only weird thing is that there was no attendant at the mini golf stand as you were expected to pay inside the arcade building and then just go over and take your clubs and a ball and play. Now obviously if none of the staff are paying attention then I guess people could play and never pay. Eventually someone from the staff caught up to us, and everybody else that was playing, as asked to see our receipt showing that we paid but it wasn't until the 16th or 17th hole. We didn't use the batting cages but some people did and the equipment looks pretty beat up. I noticed a staff member had to go in and un-jam/tinker with the one pitching machine several times while we were inside. The duck pin bowling is interesting. They have three small bowling lanes with pins that are attached to strings and the balls are solid and maybe slightly bigger than a softball. Roll the ball down the lane just like in regulation bowling and you have duck pin bowling. It's fun and it's good for younger children not capable of lugging a regulation sized bowling ball. The arcade was alright, although a few machines were broken and one was getting worked on, but it's just typical redemption stuff where you play games and get tickets for old tooth breaking candy or small cheap Chinese plastic toys. There was a food area where you could get ice cream, pizza, and hot dogs but I can't say that I saw anyone manning that area or that I saw anyone getting any food. Arcade Tokens 4 for $1 Miniature Golf Children 12 & under $5.50 All others $7.00 Batting Cages $2.50 a round Mini-Bowling $3.50 per game The above are their prices for 2012. As you can see things for a family of four can get very pricey, very quick if everybody wants to engage in more than one activity or if you really have an interest in spending a ton of cash for a Chinese plastic trinket in their redemption area. They do have a $10 off coupon in the Harrisburg-Hershey visitors guide coupon book to help with the sting and apparently there is some kind of locals discount card that you can buy to further reduce the cost (only mentioned at the location and not on their website). The staff will ask you if you are a local but if you say no they won't explain to you what it is or how much it costs even if you intend to come back more during the year (like we did). Overall we had a good time at Challenge and if I had another coupon maybe we would come back but without some kind of discount it's just too much price wise to do everything or to be a frequent visitor. read more

So much fun for people of all ages. My little brother enjoys the arcade and mini golf, and so does my fiancé! They also have duck pin bowling, batting cages, and air hockey. They serve picnic food like burgers and hot dogs, and their ice cream is delicious. A great place for family fun read more

Just finished my son's 6th birthday party here. Between the duck pin bowling, arcade games, pizza, and ice cream cake it was a hit! My family are members here and I frequently bring the kids down to play games while we wait for them to make us pizzas for takeout. The pizzas are made in house, pizzaria style, very good. The ice cream and shakes are also quite good. Very nice to have this establishment nearby. It's kind of like chuckecheese but with better pizza, bowling, golf, and batting cages. read more

Well, it's been awhile since we've been mini-golfing, but we thought we'd take the kids and their friend out to give it a swing (no pun intended!). First, let me say that AJ, the guy at the entrance booth was the most important part of our experience simply because he took the time out to refresh my memory as to what to do by taking us onto the practice green and letting the kids see how to hold the golf club etc. He was so personable and made the kids laugh and feel relaxed. To the owners of this place, you have a valuable employee here and we will be suggesting this place due to his kindness. As for the golf course itself, it was such a nice place to spend our time. The fresh flowers were beautiful, the grass was well trimmed. I really don't have anything negative to say regarding this golf course. We didn't, however get an opportunity to go into the arcade or go into the restaurant, but I assure you that we will give it a try at our next outing. Be sure to purchase a discount card if you live locally. The cost is $20 but you save $1 on each person and they also email you 'specials' that are additional money savers. read more

Our family has been going here since we were pregnant with our first daughter, who is now 15. It does not get old, they have done an excellent job of keeping up with the trends with the games in the arcade and we LOVE their Staff! Very friendly atmosphere, convenient location to the highway, also the food is not elaborate, but it sure is very good for the price! We loved our homemade pizza and bbq sandwich! The owner and his wife were there and they were AWESOME! I recommend this place if your traveling or live right in the Hershey area! read more

Yikes. So this place is right next to Indian Echo Caverns and the batting cages are indoors (all 2 of them) and they look like mini caverns/dungeons ($2.50 for 16 pitches). The inside looks used, old, small, dingy and dirty, and not that it matters but the parking lot is unpaved. The inside has an arcade which is par- but even that rating is questionable. They have 'indoor mini bowling' think duck pins in a space that needs to be condemned. Like every place within a 30 mile radius of Hershey, as no surprise they sell Heresy ice cream and there's outdoor seating for maybe 10 people at best. The mini golf supposedly has 22 holes but it looks like there's only room for 3 holes because the course is so small and cramped. Needless to say we didn't stay or play on anything we left and went to Adventure Sports in Hershey which is way better than this place. read more

This could be an unfair rating, because it was winter and mini golf not open. Inside, the candle pin bowling was okay (3 alleys), didn't do batting cages but they looked okay. Other than that, except for a mediocre air hockey game, this is for kids under 10 and not very big. We were ready to leave with my 12 year old within 20 minutes. read more

Having a great time up until hole 10, then owner decides to start two groups of four in front of us at hole 11. Wtf? Boo

My family and I were having a great time, when at the 10th hole the Challenge Owner had a group of 8 skip hole one and start at the hole directly in front of us. We went from a group of three moving along quickly through the holes, to a complete standstill. We played one more hole and then gave up because the large group (that they actually split into two groups of four) bogged us down completely. It wasn't the group's fault, but management made a very poor decision and made happy guests VERY UNHAPPY. We decided to give up the game and were given ten tokens to the arcade. TWO DOLLARS WORTH. Thanks a lot. We will not be returning. The two stars are for the course. Well laid out and beautiful. One star for hospitality. read more

Stuff is old and beat up a little, but it's a good time. The staff is friendly and the ice cream is good. The batting cages leave much to be desired, but the mini golf and arcade make for a fun night. Bring your hand sanitizer. read more

The miniature golf course is very well maintained. There are no worn greens. The water features are clean with no algae. All the flowers make it very pretty. We were given two tokens for skee- ball when we were done. The arcade is mostly for younger kids. They have ice cream and drinks for sale. There's some indoor and outdoor seating to enjoy your treats. read more
