How much does it cost to go and do the prices vary depending on what it is you want to do?

That's a great question Autumn, the prices vary by what games or attractions you choose. You can purchase games individually by loading points onto a play card or you can purchase one of our packages which give you a variety of game and attraction… Read more

We came into town from Pittsburgh for a day trip to visit the railroad museum and had hours to kill before our return train departed so we went to Holiday Bowl to kill time. When we arrived she said there were no lanes available and that we would be fifth on the waiting list and we said that was fine. She seemed annoyed by this and said it could take 1.5 hours and again we said fine we would wait. But then she told us even if we waited we had to be done by 4pm. After only 20-25 minutes they called our name. In the middle of bowling our lane had an issue that the reset button couldn't address so my boyfriend went up to her to request assistance and she said "it looks like it's working to me" even though the "gate thing" that clears the pin was down and not moving and pins were scattered. She finally agreed to call for assistance. We continued playing the games we paid for and then realized we had more time before we would have to leave at 4 so we asked to pay for more games. Again she was said in a rude manner "you have to be done by 4." I cannot believe this place continues to employ her. She must be part owner or related to the owner because no good business owner would continue to employ someone whose job requirement it is, to interact with paying customers, to be in that role with her attitude.

Generally, if I'm…read moregoing to take the time to log into yelp, write out a review and so on and so forth, it's because it's either a place I frequent and can give an honest assessment or the place was just good and deserved some praise. Holiday Bowl does not deserve praise. It's not a place I frequent and never will. The quick and skinny version: 1. Bartender SUCKS. Horribly 2. Very small selection of house balls 3. House shoes are falling apart 4. Staff is just rude if not borderline hostile 5. Scoring screens decided to stop working... rude staff says they can't do anything about it. The long and fat version My girl and I are in town visiting some family and decide we're gonna go bowling. There are 4 of us and we head out to Splinters. Splinters was great. The staff was nice, the lanes were clean, but they have no bar. Bowling's great and all, but adult beverages were a priority on this particular Saturday night, so we respectfully left in search of another bowling alley. This brought us to Holiday bowl. It's league night which means all of the lanes are taken. We get it. Brandi and I are league bowlers. I politely ask the guy behind the counter what his best guess was as far as when league would be over and lanes would open up. "You're gonna have to wait until I finish counting this money".... No problem. A few minutes later... "I have no idea. Maybe an hour". No need to get snippy bro, but that's cool. You've got a bar and we've got time. Name's on the list. Things go downhill... It's 8pm on a Saturday night and there isn't a soul in the bar except the bartender. This should've been a red flag. The group we were with is a bartenders dream. We're fun, we're planning on ordering simple drinks in high quantities without becoming problematic drunks... and we tip well. All you've got to do on your end is pour a few drinks and not be a dick. That last piece is where this guy failed... epically. Me: "I need a shot of this, a shot of that, 2 of these beers and a diet coke please. What's your name?" Him: "Bartender" Me: "Okay!?!?" Him: "I'm just here to serve drinks. I'm not trying to make friends" Me: "Really? Just trying to be friendly man... we don't need to hang out afterwards" Our friends immediately picked up on this whole conversation and it went further down hill. Friend: "Bad day?" Bartender: "Nope" Friend: "You do work on tips right?" Bartender: "All I need to know is what drinks you guys want" We left it alone at this point and had a good time on our own. To summarize - "Bartender" is the shittiest bartender I've ever had. Anywhere. Ever. In the 3000+ year history of people slinging brews, this guy is the worst guy to ever do it. That bad. An hour has passed and I look out at the lanes to see that the two lanes on the end have opened up. Mentioning this to the front desk, I'm told that we can't have those lanes because league is still going on. Since we only needed 1 lane, we wouldn't have been next to them and we know bowling etiquette anyway. "Sorry. Can't do it. Our league bowlers freak out" Now I realize you're not going to upset your regulars to go out of your way to please some guy you've never seen before, but I didn't get it. But whatever, I'll check back in a little bit. 30 minutes later, we get put on the same lane I asked about. None of their shoes fit. We all ordered our normal size and 2 had to return them twice to get something that sorta fit. My velcro was worn out and wouldn't stay attached. Laces would've been great. We start bowling. We're having a good time. Our scoring screen goes out. I play with the settings on the control console but can't get it to come back on so I hit the intercom button. No answer. I walk up to the counter and stand there as two coworkers finish a conversation. I wait patiently. A couple of minutes into it - "Sorry to interrupt, but our screen is out" Him- "I'll be over when I can"... goes back to chatting with his coworker. He shows up 5 minutes later and says, sorry, I can't do anything about that. I end up fixing it myself by screwing with the buttons some more. I feel like I'm just nitpicking at this point. Long story short, I love to bowl. We were with good company. We're not high maintenance. The tone of the initial conversation with the bartender in this review was meant to sound humorous. We're not assholes and were not early 20-somethings just getting loaded. This place had to do very little to please us and seemed to have just went out of their way to suck.

Gave it a try and we walked in like a scene from a movie, the handful of locals at the bar gave us a once over. Found our way to a table, fella came from behind the bar and took it appetizer and drinks order. Cheese fries of sorts were very yummy. The Arena is connected to a bowling alley and does have a stage of sorts, looks like either live music or karaoke might take place. TVs are available to watch sporting events but the TVs might be 10+ year old, not the highest resolution by any means. Looking for a beer and opportunity to do some people watching be sure to visit the Arena.

Possibly my new favorite restaurant in town. We spoke with the manager that says they do karaoke nights, poker nights, paint nights, murder mystery dinners, etc there all the time. Not to mention the darts, pool tables, and bowling. If you have never been here or haven't been here lately, I highly recommend it.

My party and I arrived in the evening and were able to still secure a lane for at least one game of bowling. This was my niece's first visit ever to a bowling alley and she had a great time. Of course going with a three year old meant we were going to need accommodations. Luckily bumper bowling and a ramp were readily available. To say my niece had an enjoyable time can go without saying. She enjoyed herself so much she cannot wait to go again. Smiling and jumping up and down each time that ball hit even one pin at the end of the alley. Shoe rental prices were reasonable and the going norm: $2.50. Price per game was not bad either. If you wanted to use your card to pay you need to reach a certain amount in order to do so, but that option is always available. Arcade inside if bowling is not your thing. Snack bar has been converted to a Fox's Pizza Den. So if you come here you can definitely get a full meal to go with your game. Or you can order and have it delivered to your home as well.
