Treasure Shoppe has quite a few handmade goods from locals: jewelry, soaps, and miscellaneous decorative items. I wish I knew how people came up with these simple, yet creative ideas. When I saw the handmade knit shawls (and hats), I nearly bought everything they had -- the price was so incredibly low, there's no way the person who knit those is making a profit. They weren't made of the lightweight yarn using large knitting needles either, it was the heavyweight yarn, made with smaller needles that create a garment meant for warmth, not frills. The ladies that work here are incredibly friendly, chatty, and sweet -- everything you'd expect.
