The rooms are okay and the staff was pretty friendly. The problem I have is the breakfast. Its terrible. You can have a bagle, toast or a Danish. Also there are a few kinds of cold cereal and thats it. Oh wait some mornings they have yogurt. No fresh fruit. No pancakes like the sign out front says. No bacon or sausage or biscuits and gravy. The juice dispenser is broken and they don't seem to care. I'd give the breakfast 1 star. If you like to watch a little television before bed forget about it. There are only about 12 channels. The website and info in the room says there are more but they have canceled that service I am told. Guess I'll read a book. I have to come to holbrook for work about once a month. We came upon Holbrook on our way to the painted desert. Without knowing much about the place, we were pleased to find this hotel. The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. The morning breakfast was exceptional and in a nice sitting area. Eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, and some yummy tots were excellent but they also had yogurts, breads, danishes, and cereal. Oh- and great coffee! Not a complaint but an FYI. Keep in mind there is no elevator here so if you get a second floor room, pack light or take a couple trips (no big deal really). read more

This is our second stay here in the last 6 months. When we left last time we told them that there was a 2 inch gap in the door and you could see the hallway with the door shut. Looks like nothing has changed. The room is clean and the shower is hot but the door situation ruined it for us. We won't be back. I informed management both times and they really didn't care. I believe this would be some sort of a code violation but it makes you uncomfortable when the shower is right by the door and anyone could look in your room. We did hang a towel to close the gap for my peace of mind. read more

On our drive to Texas on Route 66 we wanted to stay at the Wigwam motel but it was sold out, we drove around and saw the Lexington I decided to stop. How is greeted by a very friendly gal'd at the front desk who gave me a good rate for to Queen's suite. Indoor swimming pool and hot tub with a hot breakfast, couldn't be beat for $78. Some late night activity but nothing too crazy and was quiet at 2:00 a.m.. The beds were soft and comfortable AC it had a hard time keeping the temperature cool 80 turning off and on but did the job. The hotel was older but clean. They did however have a bit of a problem when it came to the visitors. Let's just say I didn't sign up for the reptile tour and I was a bit surprised to see a 3' snake in the hallway. They handled the situation quickly but it does it leave you wondering what else is in the walls. read more

Nice enough little motel but the breakfast sucks big time. Nothing gets refilled, so if you don't get to breakfast early, there'll be nothing left (they don't refill anything). So... we get there 30 mins before the end of breakfast and here's the totality of what what was on offer. 4 slices of bread for toast, two Danish pastries, a couple of different cereals but NO milk left, a waffle iron. Drinks? "Coffee", water or foul tasting "apple juice". All other juices on the dispenser were "out of order". The "coffee" tasted like the paper cup, not coffee. To top it all off, the toaster burned my toast and there was no more bread to make more. Several other couples came in after us to find nothing left, nothing! Then some cheap SOB comes in and starts filling a Thermos with the last of the breakfast "coffee". Maybe that explains why they don't refill the breakfast items, they get stolen? A word to the management. No breakfast would have been preferable to this demeaning experience and it spoiled an otherwise pleasant stay. read more

We stayed here after we canceled a room due to safety concerns. And I'm so glad I did. The room is huge! Two queen beds with a full size couch in it! Everything is clean and well kept. I was traveling with my pup and loved this place pup friendly with super quiet walls. My only complaint was the breakfast left a lot to be desired. It looked very home made and not in the charming way but am I going to get sick from this. Luckily there's a bunch of fast food places as well as a gas station super close if you're looking for something else food wise. read more

Nice quiet and clean place, here taking care of court business for a couple of days. Also close to freeway food and local hometown shops.

I thought this place might be good because it's the most expensive in the town. It was horrible. Curtains were shredded, towels thin and small. We stayed here on our way to Phoenix, and were pleasantly surprised by how nice it was. There was a Indoor pool, hot tub, and the breakfast the next morning was great! They had a little bit of everything. Eggs, Ham, biscuits. One of the best parts was the room. The beds are SO soft and the pillows feel like they are made of down. It was great. My family and took a week to explore Arizona and had some wonderful hotels we stayed at but when we came to this one we were disappointed. The hot breakfast was not so good and very dry, they knocked on our door at 8:30 when we were trying to sleep in and rudely woke us up. Also there was no one at the front desk to check us in. But after a long day of hiking the beds were soft and comfy. So if you are going to stay here then get a a second floor room because there was a lot of stomping on the floor that woke us up too. read more

The rooms are decent and the price is fair, but the place could use some service. There seemed to have been a leak in the ceiling outside the pool area. The ceiling was falling a bit and needed repair. In the hallways on the second floor were various stains. In the room there were stains and lots of hair in the shower. The rooms themselves look decent, newer or recently remodeled. It just seems there is no deeper cleaning or attention to the everyday use. Overall ok, but the cleaning staff need to roll up their sleeves and take some pride in their work or the place will degrade rapidly. We had a very nice stay last night. Beds were sooo comfy! Pillows were good. Room was sparkling clean---and we stayed in a pet room. There was a small fridge, and microwave, and a keurig coffee maker. It was quiet and we slept well. As we walked down the hall of the next morning we could smell bacon! And what a breakfast! Yummy scrambled eggs n bacon, biscuits n sausage gravy, boiled eggs, waffles, toast, cantaloupe, strawberries, toast, sweet rolls, yogurt, fresh fruit, cereal, coffee, milk, juice, etc.! Everything was ready at 5:30 am and highly organized. Kudos Lexington! We will stay again! 10/23/2016: We came back... Air was not working well. Thank goodness it was not very hot. Pillows were awful this time. I woke up with a stiff neck. Other wise, everything was clean and breakfast was wonderful again. Might try another hotel next time. read more

We reserved a room on the first floor with a king size bed and no pets due to allergies. We arrived and were told our room was on the 2nd floor. Another woman came out and said we had a room on the first floor with 2 queen size beds. The room was dated and I'm being kind saying that. It smelled horrible, over sprayed with a deodorizer. Anyone with allergies will know this just aggravates your allergies. Breakfast was the high point as we knew we were leaving. If you don't have to stop, skip Holbrook. We are a military family moving from Virginia to California. This hotel is very clean. Great rate with an even better military discount. Super comfortable beds and great water pressure. Continental breakfast was very good with plenty of variety. The hotel staff and manager are super courteous and helpful. Parking for oversized vehicles available in the gravel lot next to the hotel. Free wifi was simple to access. If you are a runner, this section of Route 66 has good sidewalks all the way through town. The only negative is the lack of a fitness center. However, Rooms are clean and quiet Beds are good for this price point A/C worked fine and was not too loud Good buffet, biscuits that are better than those at many 4 star diners, eggs, non greasy roasted potatoes, Canadian Bacon, fruit, etc. Only negative, it's 2 story and no elevator. Kind of an issue considering how much stuff we had to wrangle up the stairs. But again, consider the price point. We arrived here on 7/19/17. Called in advance made them aware we need a room that suitable for a small dog and for someone who is handicapped. Arielle placed us in a first floor room. Then 2 hours later called my room to inform me she was not aware that we had a dog even though we told her multiple times and she seen the dog at least 4 times. Had booked this over a month in advance, was promised a ground floor room which we wanted because my wife had knee and hip surgery recently. We were told since we had booked through Travelocity we could not have a ground floor room. The air conditioning seemed to work when it felt like it, having to be set on 60 degrees to get any cooler air at all. It stayed set on 60 for 2 days and never got below 68. Somewhere near the rooms in the 30 numbers some one had a stereo with a sub woofer that ran day and night, so sleep was problematic in fact as I write this it is 4 AM and all I can hear is rumble of this unit. The rug in the room is torn and in bad shape the rooms are nothing more than adequate. Overall my assessment of this place is that it would be darned good place to put a motel. read more

I'd made a reservation; had to wait a few minutes to check in while the front desk dealt with someone who didn't have a reservation and apparently hadn't had previous luck finding a hotel with vacancy. The room was clean and spacious, bathroom a bit small (toilet and shower only, sink outside). We wanted to be as close to 40 as possible. They had a room available at 2:30am when we got in. If booking online, be aware that the AARP and AAA discounted (the cheapest rooms listed) are on the top floor and this hotel has no elevator. For an off-the-highway hotel , Lexington has pretty sweet value. I'm pretty easy, but the rooms were very nice, clean, comfy beds, flatscreen, and UHMazing towels. Bomb breakfast too... I mean bomb. Paid $80 for a room with two queen beds. read more
