Easy to access. Clean. Not too expensive. On route 66. They waited up for us as we were arriving very late. The room is basic but it was quiet and good sleeping. They have a little garden out front and it's in a great location to walk around Winslow. As Colby mentioned, they even have WiFi which was an unexpected surprise. If you do go, Winslow has a bunch of hidden gems and is a fun place in the winter and the summer. Don't write it off. Get off the freeway and check it out. Stayed here again in the summer this time. I have never seen rooms so clean. Every room has a large size fridge and microwave comfortable beds. Angela and her husband work hard to maintain this property and keep it in top shape. This is the place to stay if you are in Winslow. Nice to sit outside and relax watch the sunrise. I drove over from Texas because my mom was in the hospital in Winslow. I needed a place near the hospital, and didn't know how long I'd need to be here. I called and spoke to Angela, who assured me she had a room available, and I could certainly stay for a few days if need be. That stay stretched into nearly 2 weeks, as I ended up staying over an extra week for my mom's funeral. The room was comfortable, warm and clean. The bed was even more comfortable than my own bed at home! (Really! I'm not exaggerating!) Angela and Blas went above and beyond to accommodate me and make sure I was well cared for. In fact, I felt more like a family member during my stay than a customer, as they went out of their way to show me compassion, care, and friendship. It made my difficult circumstances a little easier to deal with. read more

What a find! Driving home late last night we were tired and decided to stop in Winslow AZ. There there were no rooms available at the Best Western. Thank goodness!!! I then saw this Yelp review for Earl's Rte 66 Motor Court and gave them a call. The very nice lady asked how many adults, my name and when I thought we'd be there; they'd be waiting for us. I was recently on my usual winter trip going South, doing the Route 66 thing on my way. I had already decided on staying in Winslow this time, and of course, anyone interested in the history of Route 66, a stay in Winslow is not complete without staying at Earl's Motor Court. Yes, La Posada is there, if that's what you're interested in, but as far as I was concerned, Earl's Motor Court was it for me. I obviously appreciate the nostalgia of the place, the history, but I also love how the owners cherish it as well. Not only is it their home, but they respect the historical value of the property and take great pride in taking care of it and continuing on with it's legacy. Angela's personal touches, like the towels! The handmade quilt! are not only very rare to see, but just made the place even more awesome than I already expected it to be. Angela and Blas are truly one of a kind. Some of the nicest people you will ever meet. I thoroughly enjoyed talking with them, getting to know their story. I only hope for the best for them and their family. I will definitely stay, no question, at Earl's Motor Court whenever I stay in Winslow again. If you're in Winslow and finally ready to ditch the incredibly uniquelessness of chain hotels, and want to enjoy interacting with some amazing people, do yourself a favor, and stay at Earl's. If you stay anywhere else in Winslow, you will be disappointed you did not stay here. Just look at the place! I considered booking one of the cheap big hotels in Winslow, but the reviews for those places were horrifying.... And I am so glad I didn't because Earls was wonderful. It is so cute and funky and extremely clean, the bed was super comfortable, the tv was everything I could want from a tv, it's just an all around solid lodging option. Story time: We stayed here one night, it was an unplanned stop on our road trip in January 2022. We had been sleeping in our van the past few nights, and after spending the day in the Painted Desert we really wanted to get clean and relax. We got their last available room and had trouble with our toilet not flushing which could have ruined our experience. The fellow that owns the place treated us to dinner while he and a buddy replaced the whole toilet!! I honestly couldn't believe it. They bought the place a few years back and have been renovating it since, I would not expect any problems like that in the future.... But if they do arise, this is an upstanding business run by good people who want their guests to have a good experience. These are the types of businesses we need to support. read more

My husband and i traveled to winslow for the doc wright wrestling tournament and stayed here because everywhere else was sold out ! And boy am i glad we did ..... This place was perfect! Parking right up to the door, very homely and clean , and best of all Angela took care of us and was kindly waiting for our arrival! Traveling with my brother on a Route 66 trip. He's really into the Nostalgia and history of Route 66. Earls was on his list along with several other "OLD" motels. So this place meets his criteria. It is not modern by any means but is suitable, clean and quiet. Internet TV is quirky, our room was small and odd shaped and parking lot is not paved. Found this place thanks to my fellow Yelpers. We arrived after 10:00 PM, and we were greeted by a warm lovely kind woman. The place is a charming vintage motel so you w ont find anything over the top fancy. What you will find are cute cozy rooms like the one at grandma's house. Our room has a queen and twin size bed with a recliner. The bathroom was cute with its vintage sink and half tub/shower. (Sorry, I was tired and didn't get photos of our room) The room did have a flat screen television, hotel refrigerator, ac unit, and microwave. It was perfect for our over night stay. I should mention that the train runs close by- how frequent, I don't know that- I only heard it once while we were there which was about 11:30PM. Overall, we were very pleased with Earl, it was like visiting yesteryear. read more

What a delightful place! My room was small but plenty big enough for me. It was beautifully furnished, and all the appliances worked just fine. Angela was so friendly and helpful and helpful, I felt very welcomed and appreciated. Definitely a reminder of what it must have been like to travel Route 66 in the old days. This little gem is awesome. It's a small family owned motel - great for motorcycles. Angela and Blas are outstanding!!! They are the owners, live onsite and take care of you like you can't imagine. Angela takes you to your room, walks you through everything including the TV remote all before you go in and pay for the room. I highly recommend them. The rooms are old school vibe, but spotless. Whatever you do, don't mess up her hand made quilts that cover the beds! In addition to the cleanliness, they really are the stars of this place as far as hospitality and making you feel like you are literally a welcomed guest in their home. At the end of a long road trip, we decided to swing east and spend a night in Winslow in order to see the petrified forest and painted Desert next day. La Posada was booked. Instead, we decided to try Earl's Route 66 Motor Court. It was inexpensive and convenient and they had a room. What a great place! Angela took our reservation over the phone, and Blas greeted us when we arrived. They both were delightful. The place itself dates from the heyday of route 66. The rooms are charming. Ours had two comfortable beds, and an enormous television, a microwave and a refrigerator with a freezer compartment. The room and the bath were immaculate. Blas has cameras around the property so we felt secure, and it was quite quiet. We parked directly in front of our room so that loading and unloading were a snap. Downtown Winslow is maybe a 10 minute walk, and the La Posada With its beautiful grounds are maybe five minutes walk away. For welcoming owners, a bit of nostalgia, and and inexpensive and comfy place to spend the night, you really can't beat Earl's. Because we only were there one night, we didn't get the chance to spend much time with the proprietors. That seems a shame because they appear to be interesting people with a great feel for the area. I liked this place. Very nostalgic style. Very clean room. If you are cool with an evening of throwback this is the place for you. If you are snobby or expect modern amenities maybe not the place for you. We didn't get to meet the owners as they were out of town but their son came by to check us in and make sure that we were satisfied. The only negative would be that since it is an old building there's no fart fan in the bathroom. ( I've been in new hotels that don't have one also) If you travel you know how your belly might feel from driving and eating out all the time. Let's just say that I may have peeled some paint off of the walls. However not a deal breaker in my opinion. I liked sitting outside of my room listening to the train roll by in the evening. I could imagine what it was like back when Route 66 was the way to go. I would stay here again. read more

The owners were very accommodating.....from clean towels, provision of coffee/creamer, our own coffee pot, and bottled water to put in the fridge. Shower pressure was good and the bed comfy. How I came to stay at Earl's Route 66 Motor Court is a series of connected coincidences that will interest nobody else, but I am glad that I did. It sits on Third Street, the West side of old Route 66, just a few blocks from Downtown Winslow and the famous "Standing on the Corner" corner, with an iconic mural and bronze statue of Glen Frey across from the Museum and a classic ice cream shop that is populated by kindly local folk who gave me many tips about things I consider important (e.g., pasties and artists). Earle's owner, Angela, is a sincere and delightful personality who acquired the place three years ago and takes a personal interest in assuring that guests are pleased. She showed me two rooms, even though I said that the first one was just fine, introduced me to Buffalo her famous watchdog, and introduced me to her interesting collection of flora - most of which have names. It has a gravel parking lot and is a typical old Route 66 motel, with some updates. It is clean, comfortable, has good Wi-Fi, and the room rates are a real deal. I would gladly return. read more

Welcomed these tired travelers in late at night, made sure we had everything we needed before sending us to our room. I called and booked a room for my senior mom on her trip from Oklahoma to Oregon. The lady on the phone was so sweet!! My mom was exhausted and overwhelmed after driving so far. We had two rooms during our stay, and both of them were very cute, cozy, and full of personal touches, including a handmade quilt on every bed! We were first greeted by Buffalo, the friendly guard dog, and then shown to our rooms by Angela and Blas, who were both incredibly kind and welcoming. Both rooms were very clean and comfortable, with all the amenities and nice, luxurious linens. Angela's recommendations of the Relic Brewery and The Falcon were wonderful for dinner and breakfast respectively, and she went above and beyond in making sure we were comfortable! Earl's is a blast from the past. Vintage Route 66. The new owners are redoing the rooms genuine to the Route 66 heyday. My room was spotlessly clean and on a 100 degrees day it was nice and cool. Nothing fancy here but charming and added to my "Winslow" experience. Angela shared the history of the hotel and gave me the complete tour. They were so friendly and accommodating. She made restaurant recommendations which were spot on and when I told he I would be doing some photography she told me about The Little Painted Desert 18 miles away. Phenomenal. A must see!They've redone the neon lighting on the building that was so popular at the time and it's really beautiful. read more

We stayed for 5 days and trailered our Harley's (from Dallas) to ride Sedona (Hwy 89A), Painted Desert/Petrified Forest etc. Great place to stay - very Harley friendly and just friendly. Hi to pets ( greeters) Buffalo and Chica. Clean clean clean rooms, Very Comfortable Bed (!) with a home-made quilt and flat-screen tv, refrigerator and microwave, a/c & heat. Great place to stay, a real Motel so you are by your bikes, and it's original Rt. 66 - the NEON is kind of amazing! Highly recommend - walking distance to "Standing on a Corner in Winslow, AZ". My husband is retired and runs the roads - stays often and we'll both definitely be back. While there (10-19 to10-24-2020) we were an easy ride to everything - Sedona and Jerome, Painted Desert/Petrified Forest, Grand Canyon & Laughlin, NV (great roads).
