I was bit underwhelmed by this place. Thrifting in Kentucky is unmatched and I had high hopes based on some online posted. However, this was more new than old and less of the vintage clothing that I was looking for. There was a lot to see but thing really that I was personally looking for which was vintage glass, Harley tees, vintage race/nascar tee and old teacups. It's super hot upstairs making that whole part pretty unpleasant and it was only in the mid 70s temperature wise when I went. Your typical peddlers mall but with a lot more ground to cover. Love the two story aspect. I'm pretty sure there's something for everyone here. I love antiquing & browsing through the booths. They have a couple vending machines & restrooms if you need them. The line gets long fast but it moved pretty quick. Overall it was a fun afternoon browsing. Expansive. This massive indoor flea market is full of booths chock full of all sorts of stuff across its 3(?) sections, one of which was two floors. From some booths being a bit more curated towards certain items, others were filled with odds and ends. As with most flea markets, some items were truly unique and intriguing while others were just somebodies junk. With this the pricing was also fairly variable, some things were priced to be a steal and made it quite tempting but others were a tad outrageous for what they were selling. As each booth is a different seller, most things just vary booth to booth, but you are able to haggle to an extent. Give yourself plenty of time to explore, and it is a fun place to just browse. I would not necessarily come with anything specific in mind to purchase, but rather to just browse while walking around and will likely be returning. read more

Went to the Peddlers Mall in search of a small lamp. "Someone" knocked mine over and it broke. I had forgotten how big it is. Browsed the aisles, upstairs too, but not a one to be found. The one that broke was a find there, but no luck this time. I'm more about purging now, not collecting, so my line of sight honed in on only lamps, but it's a good rainy day spot to spend time. If you like to shop antiques, collectibles and second hand this is a place for you. It has multiple floors and rooms to explore. They are currently remodeling and adding new booths. Some booths are nice and some are a walk by. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Plenty of parking and the restrooms near the entrance are clean. If you're really looking, prepare to spend some serious time here. We didn't realize there were 3 levels and took too long going through the main floor. Each section seems to be a separate seller with their items for sale. Things are reasonably priced in my opinion. Two large warehouse areas on the ground floor and one upper level... easily could spend at least 2 hours here, more if you like to look at everything. Variety of different booths, however I feel like most items were on the pricier side. A great place to look around at cool items and highly recommended to anyone looking for something to do in Lexington. I'm sorry to write such a low review but I have to. I was traveling through the area and always love a good antique store or flea market. So naturally, I was excited to see such a large place claiming to have antiques and even go as far as to label itself as a flea market. This place however? Aside from a very few vendors, you might as well just call it a thrift store! It is gross, unkept, unorganized and most sadly, the majority of the booths contained only scattered items you'd expect to find leftover from a sad, pathetic yard sale. Do the vendors here even tend to their booths anymore? This place from the outside looked large and promising! Upon my first few steps in though I could see that I was unpleasantly disappointed by the advertising. I didn't buy one single thing - and trust me, I collect and buy a lot of vintage goods and antiques! This place literally had nothing to offer. I guess if you're looking for cheap, "thrift store" type things, than this place is okay for you. Go in expecting something like a giant Goodwill or Salvation Army and you may not be disappointed, idk. However, if you're going in here as an "antique" and "treasure" hunter, save your time and don't bother!! Yuck, yuck, yuck. read more

What in the heck happened here?! This now has to be one of the dirtiest, nastiest peddlers malls or flea markets that I've ever been to. I remember when the building used to be Hoover's Furniture, years and years ago. Now, they either need to remodel, clean or tear it down. It definitely isn't what it used to be, even when they first opened. The East New Circle is a prime location. It's also two stories and huge, which are both worth one star. The other star goes to the fact that most booths aren't too deep, which means that you don't have to walk into each booth to wander around. You can pretty much zip through the aisles. Many of the booths looked abandoned as if the owner just left the left the stuff there, never to return or care that the stuff had been rummaged through and left in disarray. I mentioned that as I walked the aisles and after I left, I noticed people tossing buggies full of stuff. It appeared that they were employees who were evicting the booth. I did end up finding something that was worth my while. After waiting through the long line of people being waited on at the only open register, I was told that my purchase wasn't enough for them to accept credit card. I don't carry cash, so I guess I'll never be going back. Plus, how rude is it that they didn't even post that there is a minimum amount on credit card purchases?! read more

Good gawd what a set of utterly lazy, useless, braindead, rude, unhelpful employees. I went in there to buy some leather. I found some but the tag had been removed. Knowing that they can't sell it to me without a tag, I take it to the cashier to see if they can call the vendor so they can price everything that's had the tag ripped off. The cashier and her idiot associate kept pointing to the very sign I was talking about and said "we can't sell it". Then when told that I wasn't asking them to sell it but to get the vendor to price everything, they again pointed at the sign without realizing how utterly stupid they sound. Since this is the only thing I've found worth anything in the past few trips, my time ever visiting this nightmare of a "peddler's mall" is now over. For the record, everyone who talks about how dirty, etc. it is, believe them. It's nasty. To the owner who thinks they can soften their PR blow, no, I won't be back and I will purposefully avoid all your other 18 locations. Gross. read more

I went yesterday and was appalled at the lack of mask wearing by the employees. When I approached to check out I asked the employee if she could put her mask on (and she did...but didn't cover her nose). Another employee told me that she had put on her mask so I didn't need to LOOK AT HER LIKE THAT. While I have no idea what this means, she continued to snap at me at tell me I was being rude. Customer service was awful, and I will not return. The employees were hateful and disrespectful and not following state guidelines. read more

The Lexington location is run down and booths are horrendous. Those vendors who keep their booths neat and clean with nice things I feel for them. I have a friend who has a booth there and numerous times their items were sold at a very different price than what was priced and items coming up missing and she was told unfortunately nothing they could do that customer could have switched tag which comes to the issue she had nothing in her booth for that low price. a place of business would look at their cameras and see the checkout counter and look what the price was marked. Poor customer service and staff. very much needed cleaning up and getting rid of junkie booths. read more

Ooooook Honey idk where the stars of former review EVER have come from for this nook; it's been the same tightly woven and loose lipped hens house for as long as I can recall and believe you me; I do my rounds and yes indeed one could fashion the whole joint for hours or even days if they happen to enjoy doing that sort of thing then maybe the four letters ca%\% who are supposed to be "customer service associates" in a LITERAL "Free market" where the actual booth merchants aren't even present and the whole venue is basically overseen by clerks or "CSA's" who are primarily supervising sales, ringing up customers and locking merch up, helping customers out and for Gods sake SMILING occasionally though I swear on all things vintage, I've NEVER seen not one of the cashiers at Lexington Peddlers Mall smile, or even speak pleasantly or inclined to oblige any questions I might have and it almost feels personal at this point although, other than the time I must take from some poor associate Who balks at the notion of "revamping" or even "tidying up," I can't imagine why I should be treated as wretchedly myself, and it won't be fair to say I hope it's not just me but I think for all I've procured and spent and witnessed and offered and without much trouble I'm sure, the staff should be more than hospitable to usher me and my inquiries if/when the spree arises. One would think?! Anyway, I just see and think Rude, every time; a lady on my last visit actually scoffed and huffed and puffed at the end of my visit when I checked out because I literally had 10-12 items someone had to put back in the booths, and she actually explained it to me as if I were supposed to pity her for having to do that work....Legitimately!! I was ALMOST speechless, however, I managed to remind her that's what the job consists of and I too have worked retail and perhaps they or she should explore other options if she didn't love it, and she somehow uttered that she DID in contrast....???? SMH....Difference in doing wrong and being wrong, remember that. This store is full of junk. However, the variety of junk you find is entirely dependent on how far you want to roam. You can find loud UK/UL t-shirts, Amish canned food products, discount homemade detergent, antiques, heirlooms, BBQ, comic books, pottery wheels, discount crown molding, figurines displaying bygone era racism, collectable soda bottles, homemade craft, creepy portraits, pewter cup perfect for your mint julep, and who know what else. Whether or not you want any of these things is entirely up to you. My advice: if you go and see anything you might consider possibly ever wanting, buy it. A lot of overpriced items, but a fantastic variety. While the building itself is nearing dilapidation, it was the staff that made this visit unpleasant. A friend was buying a book and was chastised for doing so, firstly for being willing to spend $20 on a book and secondly, when the staff member (an older man with dark skin) said "Who actually even reads anymore?" with a heightened snark in his attitude. When I checked out, I was told that the sticker on an item I wanted had been "tampered with", despite the full booth number and price being shown and other items from the same booth at the point of purchase showing the same price. I was extremely disappointed with this visit and the attitude with which I and my party were looked down upon. Visit for the memorabilia, but approach the staff with a grain of salt. Honestly, I have no idea what to think. I think this is the first time I have been to a flea market/antique store of this nature; however, it is not what I imagined. When someone states flea market, I think something out of Aladdin and on the street. -_- Okay, I know, modern day would be more proper, indoors and like a store. People were writing on here about booths and the gal, at the entrance stated booths. When I walked throughout this place, there were sections; however, not what I would consider booths. Also, there are no people who actually run those booths, I guess they own them. So I am guessing this type of store is like a selling storage space. If one wants to sell many things, they rent a section of the store and put all their items up for sale. Then the public goes in and looks at the items they want to buy and select them. I am guessing the bought item then gets portioned? Some profits go to the mall and the rest go to the seller? I felt actually bad about the condition and appearance of the place. Yes, there was variety; however, it needs to be tidied up a bit. It was really dusty in some areas. If I had the energy to part time it and use my organizational skills, I could get all like items in their own areas. There were tons of baby items in all the different sections, statuettes everywhere, papers and books everywhere, wooden chairs everywhere, etc. The disorganization is what got to me. But then again, if we are going by my first interpretation of it, each section actually represents a rented space for one person/family to sell their used items; you may not be able to be orderly with it as every item, in separate sections, is owned by different people. I just feel like it would be better to locate items, if like items, were all in one area. All in all, it was an interesting experience. Note: The market does not actually have three floors. There is an extension by a ramp on the first level (probably what people were referring two as two separate levels) and a staircase leading to the second level. read more

Before I explain the 2 star rating, allow me to first say that I don't frequent this establishment often, but when I do, I typically enjoy my time there. I went to the peddlers mall yesterday with several DYI projects in mind for a wedding. My friends and I shopped for nearly 3 hours. We found a numerous great deals. Between the four of us, we filled a complete cart with our purchases. Majority of the selected items were mine. I found more than 50 glass items for my DIY project and was very excited that I had stayed far beneath my budget. Simply put, all was wonderful until we reached the checkout. The cashier, a blonde heavyset female wearing glasses and a black peddlers mall t-shirt (no name tag and no mask) waited on us. Her attitude and simply hateful demeanor ruined the entire shopping experience for us all. She was soooo obviously perturbed that she had to wrap all of the glass items that I purchased. She huffed, rolled her eyes, made aggravated faces, and really made me just feel bad that I had purchased so much stuff. It was honestly a bit embarrassing as everyone in line behind me could see that she was so irritated by my large purchase. Her customer service was beyond bad. It was atrocious. When she gave me my total of 47.50, I was excited and exclaimed how wonderful the prices were. I was hoping that my compliment to the establishment might decrease her obviously despicable mood. Instead, she made, yet another, dramatic eye roll. In conclusion, I will most likely shop at the peddlers mall again, but I will first check to see if she is the cashier. I would far rather shop elsewhere, and possibly pay more to receive good customer service as opposed to having her wait on me ever again. read more

This place is too big and full of chaos. I have to say I love a good Peddlers Mall, but not this one so much. It is really cluttered and packed with junk. Yes, before I get scolded the junk moves around and gets sold and may change regularly, but I won't be here to see it. I prefer to go to the Peddler s Malls that are more laid out and neat. For those of you not familiar, a Peddlars Mall is a collection of booths random people can rent and put items usually they found in a yard sale or made and sell it in one location. They rent booth spaces at these alls and tag them. Then don't have to sit and watch their items or sell it them selves for that matter. I love the concept. Just not a fan of this specific one. If I want to summarize this place with one word, I would say- overwhelming! This place is packed with lots of stuff (i.e. junk) and if you are anything like me, you will have a complete sensory overload within the first 10 minutes you are in here. Smell isn't the best but I guess it's expected with all this stuff but what's up with the nasty carpet? Why is there a carpet at a place like this??? Anyway, back to the main review.. There are lots to see but patience is definitely required, as other reviewers said. Some of the boths are organized but many are a complete mess and you will need to sort through if you want to find something. I wish there was a bit more order in this place, such as sections for sewing, crafting, kitchen stuff, carpentry etc. I went in looking for some old, cool buttons for some craft projects but I had no luck finding any button selection. I bet they were all tucked away at random places. On a positive note, the selection of stuff is definitely random. Amish food at a flea market? Yep! Brand new luggage? Also here! As far as thrift stores go- this place is AMAZING. It's huge- you will need a good couple hours to see it all. I've moved around a lot and whenever I get to a new place I frequent thrift shops for furniture and all the necessary household goods. I wish every place I lived had a Peddler's Mall! There's just so much there- if you have the patience and time to sift through it all, you will probably find what you need. Pricing is all over the place, it just depends on what the individual vendors think things are worth. Sometimes things are priced like they are precious antiques, and other times they are pretty standard thrift store prices. If something is too expensive in one stall though- just keep going- you'll probably find it cheaper in there somewhere. It's also kind of a fun place to go even if you aren't looking for anything in particular- there are so many antiques in there, it's kind of a blast from the past and a lot of fun to see all that random old stuff that you just don't see in stores anymore. Just to give you an example, on my last trip there, I got: 1. Really classy floor lamp ($25) 2. Set of 4 pyrex mixing bowls ($20) 3. End table ($12) 4. Set of 2 cute matching throw pillows ($12) 5. I love this place. I live in New York and have enjoyed flea markets there and in Europe, Marche Puce , Paris, Portobello Road in London. This one ranks with the best of them. Really great bargains to be had. If you have the eye it's worth spending a few hours snatching up unique finds and shipping them home. I do this often. read more
