If I could give 6 stars I would. Went in to get my moms brows done. Lexy allowed me to go in to explain the process and help my mom decide the brow shape. We followed covid safety protocols. We were asked to wash our hands and of course we wore our mask. Lexy was patient while I translated and explained to my mom. Lexy also listened to my moms request and worked to meet my moms eyebrow needs. When my mom saw the brow shape that Lexy drew on her she was immediately satisfied. My mom went for a microblade style and Lexy delivered. My mom left Lexy's chair looking and feeling like a bad ass with her eyebrows on fleek. When I picked her up she could not stop talking about her brows and showing them off (she mentioned how she now had better brows than myself, thanks mom). Lexy was super sweet and took me step by step from picking an eyebrow shape that suited my face to finding a color shade that matched my eyebrow color while making sure it went with my face tone complexion. On 04/08/23 Lexy did a combination of micro blading and ombré powder brows on my eye brows. I had full brows but with some visible sparse hairs . I also had a higher arched eyebrow that Lexy was able to even out. I am so happy with my results. Lexy is kind, knowledgeable, and patient. Review #100!!!! Yippie!!! So I first heard about microblading a year and a half ago. Bakersfield hasn't really caught on to the trend but it is slowly begining to pick up. I began to follow a few different microblading artist on Instagram to get a feel of the right person for the job. I was set on one but they charged an arm and a leg. I figured it would be worth it since I really enjoyed their work but then I stumbled upon LexyBrows. I loved her work immediately and followed her for a while before finally reaching out. I emailed her very late one night and to my surprise she responded right away. I had a few concerns, the main one being that I have a scar on my right eyebrow and was worried the microblading wouldn't take. She asked me plenty of questions, and even offered a free consultation. Unfortunately, the consultation wasn't feasible seeing as I lived 2.5 hours away. She gave me her number and asked me to text her pics of my eyebrows. She was very detailed and confident that my eyebrows could successfully be microbladed. I finally asked her the price and to my disbelief it was so cheap!! I booked her immediately. She is pretty popular and slots fill up fast, typically she is a month or two out on appointments. You also need to leave a $50 deposit that is nonrefundable if you cancel after 72 hours. Total cost is $350 and it includes a second touch up appointments which is typically booked 8 weeks out. Upon arrival the spa place was beautiful. The receptionist was welcoming and showed me to the nice seating area. She also handed me a bottled water. Lexy came out to greet me and took me into her room. It's a small room, very basic but looked very clean. She asked if I needed to go to the restroom because the procedure would take 2 hours or so. So most of the time is taken by the numbing, and drawing of the brows. The microblading itself takes about 30 minutes, that's a guess because I wasn't looking at a clock but I'm a pretty good guessser lol. The numbing helps out a ton, you don't feel the procedure as much and as soon as you do feel anything you let Lexy know and she numbs it up some more. Once she was done I was kinda shocked at how dark the brows were. I kinda regretted it to be honest but she gave me after care instructions and advised me they would definitely lighten up. Patience is key with microblading because everyday is different for the brows. The first day they were dark, the second they were dark and thick, the third the same, the fourth and fifth day the swelling began to go down. Sixth day began to get itchy and peel. The peeling lasted up to the 14th day. My advice is keep adding that aquaphor and don't wet them for the whole 14 days of healing. It's really tough to do but it is definitely worth it. My brows have healed since then and the eyebrow that had a scar was successfully microbladed. I do have my touch up appointment in a few weeks and there are minor things I'd like for her to fix but overall I am beyond please with my brows. read more
