When the delivery arrived,…read morethey were surprised that stairs were involved (in a laundry installation) and now wanted to reschedule to 2 days later and charge an extra $100+. The next day I hadn't heard back at all, so I followed up and found out they never rescheduled the delivery. The next available date was now at the end of the week (a full 5 days later than planned). When the team arrived, they discovered after 15 min that they forgot their tools, and left for another 45 min to go buy more. When it was finally in, they told me they were missing access to a needed outlet (this was not mentioned before they placed it in the cabinet). I was asked to use an extension cord, and they wanted to leave immediately (before I could get the extension cord and test the machine. I insisted on testing the machine, an then noticed after they left that there was a chip in the door frame and some scratches on the washer door. Now less than 2 months later, the dryer vent hose fell down from it's connection in the ceiling. It turns out that they only used tape, and no actual ties. I called CAS and they refuse to take any accountability for the shoddy installation and service. They've told me to deal with it myself. Save your money and hassle, and go with ANY other appliance company. This is the last time I'll be buying anything from CAS (and my friends who are currently undergoing renovations and buying new appliances have also been warned to take their business elsewhere. I should note that a few years ago I bought a whole suite of new appliances from CAS in Etobicoke, and it was also a pretty unpleasant experience. The sales rep was extremely condescending and chauvinistic, and the delivery schedule was extremely stressful. I should never have gone back, and I don't plan to ever again.

It would zero if possible. Quite possibly the worst customer service I've dealt with. Deplorable…read morecompany. Once they get your money, they don't care. First dishwasher I got had a 12" gash/dent in the front. They offered me $80 (less than 10% of the purchase price) to keep it. I went back to CAS to tell them my dishwasher was damaged... they just chuckled. The guy who EVENTUALLY installed my replacement (not damaged) dishwasher was great. That was the only tiny positive! Don't ever shop at CAS unless you care about your time AND money.

It's worth calling them before replacing an appliance. They will tell you if they can repair it for less than replacing. For our three appliances, we spent under 1,000 dollars versus over 3,500 dollars to replace.

We had mixed experiences with our 48" fridge and freezer repair. Our initial issue was related to…read morethe freezer not cooling and making a very loud noise when running. This took 3 visits to resolve with the first being a bit of a misdiagnosis. After that- that issue was resolved fairly easily. The second request was for fridge and freezer gasket replacement. This was (and still is) a complete disaster. The gasket has been changed, installed a second time, reordered, and reinstalled- without the issue being rectified. A heat gun was used by the tech at the initial installation to help the gasket expand. This damaged the inside of the door and the freezer compartment still isn't as it should be in terms of the gasket forming a proper seal. We were essentially told the issue with the seal had to do with "internal insulation degradation" and that there is nothing more to be done. We are left with the option to use paper towels to expand the gasket so it reaches the body of the freezer- still with no actual seal. No attempt to compensate for the time, effort, and lack of ability to fix the issue on the part of the company. The tech we dealt with is very professional, personable, and helpful, but the lack of the company's accountability for the job not being completed to a satisfactory level leaves me not so happy to recommend this company to anyone- particularly since the simpler of the 2 jobs we requested was the one that has still not been resolved. The cost of the services was also excessive given the number of times we had to have them out and the fact that it is still not repaired properly.
