In addition, I love their alliance with Stanford Health. Stanford has many locations with high tech equipment for all sorts of specialties. I have always received competent and helpful assistance when scheduling an appointment and have always been cheerfully met at the reception desk. Best if all is my Physician, Dr. John Carper. I have been with him for over 30 years. He is on-time, thorough, patient and a great listener. I am never rushed with him. In addition, I appreciate the detailed discussions about lab followups and his expert advice. My last visit, I was actually taken to the exam room 10 minutes early! With Alameda Family Physicians and Stanford, my health is closely tracked and well documented. I feel like everything is being done to monitor changes in health due to age and corrective actions are being made to keep my body in check. Her assistant was amazing making sure that everything was set up properly and very organized. Dr. Hartshorn was not a second late to my appointment. Because they were super sensitive on not hurting me, Dr Ngyuen came in and successfully cut off the 3 remaining sutures. The 4th one was first by Alessandra. I want to tell you folks that these medical personnel are great and attentive. Once I was done, I hop over across the street for x-rays and it was a great day. They will accept my husband's insurance for him, but not for me. Every time I show them the paperwork from the insurance, they say that it's wrong and I can't get an appointment or the appointment isn't covered. (They say that Affinity Group and Dr. Tsao are not covered by my insurance - see attached card.) My husband - who has the SAME insurance - has no issues. They've said I can only make appointments using the app, not the website, just lots of random issues have come up over the years. I've been polite and patient through all of this, but it's just too hard and makes no sense. Anyhow, Dr. Tsao is great overall, but I am concerned that she doesn't understand that plants have protein and am looking for a doctor that is a bit more holistic.
