Actually 0 stars if I could. On 11/23/25 my Renegade was taken to Lia Jeep for repair. Over 5 months 8 days have expired as of today 4/30/26 - and counting - still not fixed. Thanksgiving to beyond Easter - 158 days, 3792 hours, 227,520 minutes. Only has 64,000+ miles. Everyone I tell is speechless. Can't get parts, wrong parts or jury-rigged or not needed or installed but then fried - wait weeks or months for them - then weeks or months to install but still no car. No loaner. Lia is a crap dealership being inept, disorganized, and unreliable. Not enough qualified mechanics, dodgy communication if at all, endless excuses. Chrysler Jeep Dodge vehicles are badly designed and built ranked last next to Land Rover with failing electronics and shortage of parts if you can obtain them. Run do not walk to another dealership and vehicle brand - never buy a Jeep or Dodge product - never buy from Lia - vehicle electronics will fail costing you a fortune. read more

a.k.a. Bobo at this dealership was awesome. My lease was due so I ordered another truck a while back and it came in. The deal went through I even said $75 a month a.k.a. Bobo is the calmest and most friendly person when it comes to doing business business because shopping for a vehicle is just a pain in the ass. He made it very easy. No bullshit numbers were perfect. Without going into a lot of details, which I'll most certainly run out of space and if the dealership wants to call me, I will provide them. Vinny made our visit one of the absolute worse times buying a car and we've bought a lot. We went in there planning, without question, to buy a jeep summit and ram rho. I am not just saying that really, we were. All we wanted was to see them and have a quick test drive, not too much to ask when dropping 100k+ on vehicles. I am not a sensitive person but Vinny spoke to us with such disrespect it's unbelievable, for him I hope it was just a bad day. After the 2nd insult we wanted to leave but just to be positive, we waited until the 4th before we were out the door. Short drive away at another dealership, and I won't even drop them a positive mention in this review, but they were great, we bought what the wife wanted and soon I'll be getting the truck I want. read more

Pros: selection. Clean. Staff is friendly. Decent service. I have purchased three vehicles from them and they've always been of high quality and I felt I was offered fair pricing and financing. I never felt pushed or treated anything other than respectfully. Cons: service center no longer has a shuttle vehicle which when I called and made an appointment I was told no problem they would shuttle me. They called me an Uber which was nice just not how I like to roll. Also the service staff after they completed their work told me that I would be receiving a call and nothing under 10 and yes was a pass. Shame on Lia for putting pressure on these folks to say that. If you're going to conduct a survey you should be looking for honest feedback so you can continue to advance your program. read more

Not gonna lie, seeing all these previous reviews almost chased me off--but I gave Lia a chance and I am not disappointed in the least so far. I worked with Scott who was honest and informative from the moment I came in today. He fully explained the lease buyback process, referred me to a reliable dealer to buy my Chevy and was able to score me an AMAZING deal in doing so ( Mohawk Chevrolet, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, ask for Tom!) I was not pressured to buy anything nor was I forced into putting down an exuberant down-payment for my 2022 Compass. (Since when is +$4,000 on a down payment a "normal minimum"?? Heck no. ) I'm picking up my new Jeep TOMORROW, no gimmicks, no pressure, no waiting for a car to come in, and most importantly all of the staff were helpful and really nice individuals!! Nobody was running around, in a bad mood, it was a great atmosphere. I hope my review helps anyone looking for a vehicle and quality service. Sold me a vehicle without an extra key and the salesman stated he would call me when it arrived. Called the general sales manager at least twice and left voicemails about the key and never got a return phone call. Complained about the key and they were able to get out of supplying me with one on a technicality. How is a business able to operate this way when a consumer spends a significant amount. Also do not finance through them. I got approved through my bank and brought the paperwork with me. They were unaware of this and attempted to get me to finance through them with the same bank at a higher interest rate.... interesting. They had no explanation when I told them I had been approved by the same bank at a lower rate.... Friend bought a vehicle and they stated the brakes were fine, a month later he had to have the brakes replaced. They also tried to strong arm another friend with an inspection issue and were not truthful on the paperwork as compared to what they told her in person. I will NEVER buy a vehicle from any Lia auto group. I would rather pay more and go to another dealership. read more

I broke down near another mechanic. That mechanic didn't check the fuse box, thought the computer had to be flashed. Towed it to the dealer. They changed the fuse and said they checked the electrical system, whatever that means. The bill also lists "Multi-point inspection (according to maintenance interval). It was $145 for checking, $2.93 for the fuse. Since they don't do loaners and they couldn't get to it until the next day, they rented me a little car for $34.99. Tax and everything, I paid Lia $189.92 to change a fuse. As I pulled out of the lot, my check engine light was on. The service advisor very politely explained that this is not included in checking either "the electrical system" or the multi-point inspection. It would cost another $145 to see what the check engine light is about. Since auto part stores will do this for free, and Armory only charges $99 for most diagnostics. I will not be returning to Lia unless I am towed there again. Given the Town & Country's exceptionally poor reliability, I will probably be back before I can get rid of this van. read more

I would give zero stars if this were possible. Currently have a Jeep wrangler with an issue with the steering damper. I've had three appts since November that were cancelled due to "being behind and short staffed". Was told that if I felt unsafe in my vehicle, I could have it towed there but it would sit there until they "got around to it". Was also told that if I were to do that, I would need to pay to rent a car through them for $50 a day as they do not have courtesy vehicles. My most recent appt was cancelled for "not having a tech available". After calling back and having the phone be picked up and hung up three times without anyone answering, I finally got through to someone and after a thorough complaint, was told that there magically was a tech there during my appt time. Brought my Jeep in, was told there was a part that needed to be ordered and they would call me when it was in. This was three weeks ago. I called back today to see if the part was in, and was told "the person you dealt with before no longer works here" to which I said "since they don't work here anymore, I can't be told whether the part was ordered or in?" I was once again told "he doesn't work here anymore". After months and months of the run around, I'm right back to where I started with this issue. read more

Purchased a new $50k truck on 9/29. Took delivery and went home. Upon arriving home and further inspection I found a ding in the tailgate with a paint chip at the center. Immediately took pics and emailed the sales guy (less than 2 hours after delivery). They emailed back and said they would take care of it. I brought the truck back one week later. The GM Tried to deny responsibility and said they would PDR the dent and use touch on the chip. That is unacceptable for a brand new truck. The tailgate should look new because it is! Make sure you inspect a vehicle if you ever buy one from Lia because they sure will deny any damage they are responsible for once you leave. Vinny the sales person has been more than helpful. The salesperson I got stuck with, Kyle, was my best buddy, until after the sale then he couldn't get me out of the building fast enough Throwing paperwork at me, not taking time to explain anything. When I got in my vehicle, a Grand Cherokee, he didn't explain what worked what. I put in numerous calls to talk to him. Never got a response. Asked for the sales manager. Of course he was never available. Left numerous voice messages for him to call me. Never got a response. I'm going to contact Mr. Lia himself, or Ms. Lazzari to see if they can help. It was busy and he kept checking on us make sure we were ok waiting. He also took the time to get the keys and bring them to the parking lot for the vehicles I was looking at so we could test drive while we waited. Bought my 2019 Jeep Cherokee to LIA Jeep because the "Lane Departure System" and driver side "Blind Spot Monitor" were not working correctly. The blind spot does not register a vehicle in the zone until approximately 1 second after a vehicle enters the zone. The right side registers a second before a vehicle enters the zone. This was the second time I took it in for the blind spot issue. One problem was fixed, (lane departure), one not, blind spot and another created, A CRACKED WINDSHIELD. The crack was approximately 7 inches long, in the lower left front, so most of it could not be seen from inside due to the inspection and registration stickers. The point of initial impact was approximately 1/2 in long, so it was not a stone. I told the service advisor, who took pictures and said the manager would call me back. After three days I called the manager, who did not offer any kind of help. Later in the day the service advisor called and asked what he could do. I told him to get a factory rep to look at the blind spot problem. It is now 5 days and NO call! In the meantime, I had to have the windshield replaced. I understand that accidents happen, but to not address the issue is WRONG! Glad I found out what kind of customer service is to be expected before I took my vehicle in for something serious. I took my 2015 Jeep Renegade to Lia Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram of Colonie at 2116 Central ave, Schenectady NY 12304 for a vehicle inspection on 04/17/17. After two weeks the jeep started leaking engine oil very badly. I drove it up on a pair of car ramps my father brought over and went under the jeep to see here the leak was coming from, to my surprise the under plate (skid plate) for the front of the jeep was missing. The oil leek from the oil filter was so bad i did not dare drive the jeep the 2.2 miles to Lia Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram for repairs i ordered the filter and oil on line and did the change myself. On Monday 05/15/17 i took the jeep back to Lia Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram and ask the attendant about the missing plate and ask him to go ask the mechanic that worked on the jeep if they still have the plate and that i wanted them to put it back on . The attendant apparently went to ask the mechanic about the missing plate he came back and denied that they even took the plate off . understand the jeep has 3 plates two at the rear at on both sides of the vehicle and the large one at the front, under the engine, that is kept in place with four screws. By this time another attendant came over (this attendant is the one that processed the paperwork for the vehicle inspection on 04/17/17) and they both then denied that the mechanic had taken the plate off. They tried to place the blame on anyone but them suggestion that i had taken the jeep to another mechanic and that once again it was not them and then actually tried to convince me that the under plate had just fallen off ( I both the jeep from them in 2015, the only problem i have ever had with the jeep is a puncture tire no other mechanical problems at all). I worked for the US Army motor pool 101 signal Battalion C company for eight years and a deployment, I am not the worlds best mechanic but i know enough and that plate can't CANT just fall off. The first attendant then snickers and laughs at me saying you are not even a customer with us. WTF I buy a Jeep from them that cost around 25k I take it to get the one problem fix with them (puncture tire) I take it to get a new inspection with them and i am apparently not a customer WTF. read more

Long story short. I ended up at Zappone Chrysler after my short lived and awkward experience at Lia. You should do the same. Avoid this place. Long story....It started with an email littered with grammatical and spelling errors asking about my interest in purchasing a 300 after an online search. That's fine, I was looking for such a response to start my research but not a great start or good 1st impression because of the childish email. I was half expecting a plea from a Nigerian prince to ask me to hold their money to follow. Which surprisingly was close to my second email referencing an email conversation we had a few weeks ago when indeed it was the next day. Being a glutton for punishment and just overly curious I had to see what was on the other end of this. This is where I met the greeter who was just a ball of joy and should have reminded me of my email interactions yet I continued. I have to say the sales guy started out nice but I had the audacity to confuse the 300c from 300s and I got the eye roll/annoyed response when asking for clarification. My bad.... Eventually I gathered my info I needed on the car, gave him my specs on what I wanted...I never got a return call. This ends as abruptly as that transaction did. I took my money and business elsewhere and couldn't be happier with my new 300C. Do yourself a favor and find another dealership. read more

I bought a car and was very happy with the dealership, until I found out after purchasing the extra warranties, I found out after the fact that two more months were added on to my financing and was not informed until I checked on the loan. It was never told to me that an extra two months would be added to my financing on top of the payment going up (which I was aware of). Unfortunately i signed on an I-pad and did not check to see what I signed for. Lesson learned on me. If you buy a vehicle from this dealership, make sure you have them print the paperwork, or look closely at the financing agreement you are signing to ensure the payments are what is agreed. I will give Lia Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram 0 stars. It made me put in 1 star to post. I brought my van into this dealership to have some work done on covered items. I received a call back stating that my rear rotors and pads were shot. This along with 2 or 3 other uncovered items (wiper blades and break fluid flush)was quoted $1300. I declined the extra repairs. The next day I brought the van to my local mechanic to have the breaks checked out and see how much it would be. Within 30 minutes, my mechanic called back to tell me that my rotors and pads were in perfect shape and did not need to be replaced. I came to Lia because of a bad experience at Armory garage in Albany hoping to not get ripped off. I was wrong. Dealerships are all the same. Just looking to rip off people to make money. Stay clear of these dealerships. Find yourself a good local family run mechanic and stick with them. read more

Originally I had a problem with my fuel tank not filling up with gas, so I brought it to Lia Dodge. After they said "they fixed the car", they charged me $461.00, and I went to multiple gas stations to double-check that the problem was fixed, to my surprise "It wasn't!" I went back to the dealership, who gave me a rental, and told me that they would "make it right." Well, they didn't they only offered $150.00 back, and didn't even fix the problem without the option of charging me more money to fix the original problem. I DO NOT recommend going to this dealership they will take your money and not fix your problem! Save the trip! read more

The most horrible experience I've ever had with a vehicle repair. Now that being said I do understand the labor and supply chain issues. My engine needed to be replaced and it was covered under my extended warranty. That being said they had my vehicle for 31 days. I was repeatedly given different information from different associates. The parts were all there according to one and not yet received according to another. Every time I called to check the status of my repair I felt as though they were just pacifying me to get me off the phone. Finally I was told my car was ready. When I started the vehicle it was extremely loud. It wasn't loud when they received it. Again I understand when replacing an engine things can go wrong with parts not covered under warranty. However I would except to get a call asking if I wanted the extra repair done. Really?? Who wants to be out of their car for a month then have to take it elsewhere to have another repair done. When I did drive it I got less that a mile and the check engine light went on. What an absolutely awful experience. I was also told my warranty covered a rental car. I never received on at all during the month they had it all the while their adds ran on local TV stations about their rental service. Had a very bad experience this pas week with a lying salesman, and a manager who only reluctantly responded to my complaints. Looking for a minivan for my wife I stopped in at Lia CJDR and after seeing that they're not as deeply discounting new Dodge minivans as in the past began looking at off lease / rentals. Was told that I'd get a better Warrantee if I saw one at another Lia dealer, they could move it and sell it as a certified Dodge. Great. Came back a couple weeks later and looked at the company website,liked a car from a Lia dealership 5 miles away. I was told I could put a deposit on it, have it moved and checked over and I could drive it and if I didn't like it would get my deposit back. Signed papers. Was not given a copy. Drove the car and didn't like it. Detail was poor. Three Michelin tires and one cheap chines me tire (on a two year old car). Stunk Of smoke. When I told the salesman we didn't want the car he developed a major attitude. Back and forth to the floor manager. Attitude increased when I stood my ground and said I wasn't leaving without my deposit back. Had to enter the sales managers office which said staff only and was told that, but continued to stand my ground as I related my story and the salesman had to admit that he had told me I'd get my deposit back. Took me another wasted 20 minutes as the salesman continued his nonsense continuing to behave like a four year old caught in a lie. He shook my hand as I left, but I probably won't ever set foot inside a Lia dealership again. Yelp needs to allow zero stars. Mr Dyer leaves out the part below where his salesman told me not to look at Dodge Minivans at any of the other Lia dealerships - that he could have one brought in and sell it as a certified vehicle. Furthermore, I was told that I could make a modest deposit, drive the car, and get my deposit back of it wasn't to my liking. And when we drove to put gas in it and I mentioned the mismatched tire and the fact that the alignment was off - pulling - he said nothing. Lia Jeep only cares about selling you a vehicle and NOTHING else. I purchased a 2018 Jeep from them. When I went to pick up the car the sales person didn't even go over the car with me. After a few days of having the vehicle I decided I didn't like the interior color. I called not only my sales person but also the finance person I dealt with to see if there was a way to get into the same Jeep but with an interior I wanted. Never received a phone call back from either of them. I finally drove down there and they told me there was nothing they could. Went to Goldstein Jeep, they had the vehicle I wanted with the color interior I wanted. Traded the 2018 for a 2019 with absolutely no problem. Then there's the insurance department! DON'T EVER GET INSURANCE THROUGH THEM!!!! I decided to switch insurance companies and go with them. Let me tell you I had NOTHING but problems trying to get all the paperwork to the new insurance company. Finally I was told by the agent that everything was taken care of. A week later I received a letter from the new insurance company saying they still needed paper work in order to insure me. Yet they had collected my first months payment. I ended up cancelling and go back with my old company. read more

The staff there is very friendly and helpful. The particular sales person That my wife and I dealt with was Stephen Pappalau. Steve was extremely friendly, and we had plenty of good conversation. There were no high pressure tactics like you see at some dealerships. We also dealt with the general manager, Chris, the sales manager, Dan, and the truck manager, Matt. Amber also helped us out. I am not one that enjoys buying vehicles, but the staff at Lia makes it very easy. I will definitely refer anyone looking for a new or used vehicle to Lia. read more

Worst place to buy a vehicle from, especially the service. Bought 4 cars from the Lia group and never again. Had to replace my rotors and brakes on a new vehicle that has 14,000 miles and only owned it for 2 years. They told me rust cause it. Go walk in their lot and look at the all the rust on rotors from cars sitting in the parking lot, I took a bunch of photos. When I called out the service tech about that, he would not answer. I can't say enough good things about my experience with this dealership. From start to finish they were fair and honest and beat out several other dealerships to give us the best deal on our new car, no questions asked. We had very little unnecessary back and forth to settle on a final purchase price and the sales consultant we worked with (Gerry) was super responsive and very easy to communicate with. Everything was handled electronically and we didn't need to spend hours going over paperwork in the dealership. This dealership was also a good 2+ hours from our house and they delivered the vehicle directly to us within only a few days after we made the sale. I purchased a Certified Pre-Owned Jeep from Lia two years ago. I recently noticed large spots on the roof where the paint had bubbled, chipped, and started to rust underneath. Due to the extent of the damage, it is apparent it has been happening for quite some time. After contacting Lia via their online customer service, they called me and asked why I contacted them. I explained the situation and was transferred between various departments and people no less than seven times. After being transferred back to one of the original people I had spoken with, she took my information and said she'd find out who I needed to talk to and call me back. After a week I still had not heard anything. So I called back and was transferred around again to no avail. I then took photos of the damage and sent it to their customer service who referred me to Alyx in service. Another two days went by with no follow up. I called twice and left two separate voicemails for Alyx over the span of a week and did not receive a call back. I then took the vehicle to Lia's collision center for an assessment and they told me it looked as though the paint on the roof had been repaired before and thus would not be covered under warranty. However, this information was not disclosed to me when I purchased the vehicle nor was it on the CarFax report. I again attempted to follow up with service at Lia to discuss a waver so the paint repair would be covered under warranty. After getting the run around again, I asked for a corporate number. My information was passed to Matthew, the sales manager, who listened to what I had to say and assured me he would follow up. Five days later I still had not received a follow up call from Matthew so I reached out and provided him with the information from the collision center. To date, I still have not heard from Matthew or anyone at Lia. I would not recommend Lia to anyone. read more

Lia Cars is a liar as they misrepresents their financing structures. Their sales persons lack knowledge on specific products such as auto advantage programs. They will mislead you to have you make a payment on delivery/signing even when this is not required. The sales person requested I make my "first payment" on delivery day - this was not required based on the structure of my loan. This payment was not applied as discussed/requested. Instead, they applied it as a down payment. Total mistake on their part!!! They will not return your calls or inquiries in a timely manner. They have no sense of good customer service. I am still waiting for parts of my vehicle that was newly purchased and has not been delivered. read more

I went to other dealers that just played games with my trade in and monthly payment. Wasted time at other dealers for them to throw in extra fees right before signing. Not here. They were upfront about the lease deal with no hidden fees. Even gave me above kbb value for my car. I had the pleasure of being helped by Vinny Notaro. I own a 2003 Jeep Liberty. I have kept it in very good shape. Recently a part was recalled on it involving the airbag so I brought it there to have it fixed. Since it was rainy and gloomy out I had my lights on during the entire 40 minute drive it takes to get there, this includes my headlights and dashboard lights. After the hour of the Jeep being in their possession, they return the car to me and the dashboard lights no longer work. I make a complaint and there answer "Nothing I would've done was connected to the interior lights, and we can't prove that they worked in the first place therefore we can't help you." The service at this location is about the worst I have ever experienced... I made a 9:30 am appointment for an oil change/inspection... Still waiting at 12:00 pm! They screw up service every time I bring one of our vehicles in. As soon as our oil change contract is up, we are never coming back! If a rogue missile happened to blow this place up accidentally, I wouldn't be disappointed. read more
