Communication was consistently terrible, including an employee who did not respond to emails repeatedly, additionally I texted the owner Andy with urgent issues on May 26 and did not receive a response until June 17. When a meeting was finally scheduled, the purpose of discussing the backed payroll filings had been confirmed in writing. Nevertheless, the representative arrived unprepared to address them and instead focused on trying to solicit us for new payroll services. After we repeatedly asked how the work we had already contracted and paid for would actually be completed, we were informed that Herbert Financial Group had handed it to a different company. That outside provider then told us he would not perform the outstanding payroll work unless we also transferred our current payroll business to him. We never agreed to that additional condition. Despite the delays, meetings, and repeated requests, we were not provided satisfactory proof that the core work was completed. In my experience, the process was disorganized, unresponsive, and felt like an attempt to turn an urgent compliance matter into an upselling opportunity. Business owners dealing with payroll-tax problems need urgency, preparation, transparency, and clear accountability. We received none of those things. The only period we received diligence and professionalism was when Andy and his wife were trying to secure the contract. We have terminated the relationship and requested a refund. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend Herbert Financial Group. Andy, send us our money back.
