Raymond did our taxes last year. He was easy to work with, but not extremely knowledgeable for our specific situation (moved from NY that year). We were upset to get a letter 6 months later saying we submitted our taxes late and would need to pay a fine. We never got word from Raymond about this. This review is long overdue! This is the second year Raymond has prepared our taxes, and on both occasions he has done an amazing job. In addition to being very reasonable with pricing, the service he provides is well above average. Last year I did a lot of research and made a lot of calls to find a good tax preparer because we needed something specific and I wanted to make sure we had someone who (1) knew how to do it, and (2) would actually do it right. The majority of the tax professionals I spoke with fell short of convincing me that we were going to be in good hands. Sadly, my research revealed these folks (I suppose you could call them the "run-of-the-mill" tax preparers) reflect the majority (my estimate is 80%) of what's out there (I called about 20 professionals). On our first contact, Raymond's knowledge and expertise stood out pretty quickly and noticeably (he's a very professional, sharp, and honest financial expert who knows what he is doing), so I felt confident he would be able to provide us with what we needed. Raymond from Excellent Financial literally saved me over $1,000 dollars in debt! He is very knowledgeable and will take you step by step through any returns you need to file, and his preparation prices are extremely reasonable. If you are a small business owner or independent contracter (1099) I HIGHLY recommend you to see him! It will save you money in the end. I'm a massage therapist, and previously used Turbotax for my returns, which did not end well (they estimated I owed much more than I did).
