We bought four cigars and the total was about $46. They arranged in price from nine dollars to $15. Real friendly owners. They claim they're one of the only remaining cigar rolling stores north of Florida. We didn't see any rolling happening when we were there, but we did see large bundles of the raw tobacco and the place smelled heavenly! read more

Service was good. Clerk informed me about the different types of cigars and the origins of the wrapper and filler. Choices are right there in front of you so not having to walk into a humidor to select. It's a small space and just bare bones with a table on one side where the cigars are rolled, and a counter on the other side where the cigars are displayed. Honestly, I was surprised how affordable these cigars were as I expected a higher price for a hand rolled cigar that is done inside the establishment. Definitely a great value. Just to let you know, there is no smoking lounge or even a siting area to spark up your cigar inside. Just gotta buy it and smoke it elsewhere like me, on a park bench in Marion Park. read more

My boyfriend loves cigars. He's had cigars from here before so I thought I would drop in and grab a couple. Inside is fairly small. There's one couch on the back wall. I noticed about a dozen or so to choose from. Just looking at the cigars, you can see the effort and craftsmanship. There was only one person in the store. Giving it four stars only because I haven't been to this location; however, great cigars!! I live in the Washington D.C. area and purchased a bundle through a friend that has visited here and still purchases from here even though he is in the D.C. area by me. My go to cigar is Padron 1964 50th anniversary, since smoking the bundle I purchased I'd prefer these over that Padron. I'll be traveling to the south in a couple weeks and will go out of my way to actually visit the store to make more purchases. Stopped by yesterday for the first time. The gentleman behind the counter was very informative about there cigars. I told him what I usually smoke and my pallet preference and he pointed me to the torpedo said any of there torpedos are great. I decided to go with the maduro torpedo. I'm going to leave another review tough to the taste quality and burn once I finish it. This review is to let everyone know that the customer service was great, the atmosphere was very laid back and unique, watched a couple people roll cigars. I was really impressed with there skills. Had an unpleasant experience with this business. 1) It's beyond rustic to the point of being rundown and dirty instead of quaint and charming. 2) The employee (and presumably owner since this is a small business) makes no good faith effort to help you select cigars you know nothing about. There are no descriptions of binder, filler, and wrapper, no taste profiles, no reviews (even if just from employees). It's not as if I could have done my research and looked them up in Cigar Aficionado or Halfwheel... He said things like, "can't compare them to other cigars because I only smoke these", "no listing of flavors because that's my job", "two blends, that's it...", and, his best try "hard to describe, kinda mild, ya know..." the impression I got was that I was interrupting his day, to buy his product. 3) For the only place in Charleston and limited number of places in the US, they do nothing to help you appreciate the roller who was working in the background. No pictures allowed, no introductions, no explanation of the rolling process, etc. I've seen a lot of cigars rolled online, but part of why I came by was to experience it first hand without heading to Cuba or Nicaragua. This store basically actively discouraged it. All in all, this was a gas station buying experience (no knowledge, a little irritated, not even a thought to customer service or experience) but should have been a gold mine if the owner would change a couple things. read more

First off, I went in here and was greeted by a dude rolling cigars and another guy watching YouTube or Netflix on the computer shoveling some take out into his face...I stood at the counter for 2-3 minutes while computer guy finished is lunch. He then got up walked around me and to the other side of the conter and then asked what I wanted. This was the first word spoken in the place since I walked in...no hello or even any real acknowledge of my existence up to this point. I picked out 2 sticks, a Maduro and a barber pole. After I left I thought how it was odd that the cigars were just sitting out on the counter with no humidification. Later that day I pulled the cigars out to put in my herfador and realized they were beyond bone dry. Ugh I put them in my humidor bassically forgot about them until today...so 4 months later brings me to today when I found the barberpold burried in my humidor. I gave it a smell and it just doesn't smell good. Moinstend the end to snip and it isn't getting any better now as I sit on my porch smoking the first inch of this turd I can't in any way express how bad it is. Ash held on for 1/2 inch..lol WOW. flavor is terrible and it refuses to stay lit. This place is a joke and if they didn't survive off the tourest traffic they would be out of business. Seriously. I'd bet money nobody local frequents this place. They literally survive off of tourests stopping in and buying into the "premium hand rolled cigar" BS. once the tourest smokes these dog rockets they are most likely already back home and long past any sort of recourse for such a poor product. read more

I like a good cigar and was anxious to try some hand rolled local product. We stopped in to this small shop and immediately saw the roller busy at his craft. Unfortunately, no one seemed to be in the friendly, engaging mode. Perhaps we were there too close to closing time that we were maybe just a nuisance. Undeterred, I asked some questions only to receive curt responses. Ok, I'll just choose myself and take a shot at my luck. Well, it didn't turn out so well. I got a selection of robustos and my opinion is that these aren't very good. They aren't rolled very tight and despite their immaculate appearance, the loose roll really compromises the smoke. They burn fast and without much depth of flavor. Both the habano and maduro wrapped versions had the same issue. Not very flavorful and not at all impressive. If you like mild cigars you might find these tolerable at best. Me? I prefer something with a little flavor. These had none. And at $7 a stick for robustos I expected so much more. read more

She said you must say "please". I said no problem and responded as requested. I purchased two freshly made sticks for $15 each. They were okay not show stopper but decent. They get hot at last third of smoke. I felt like customer service could've been waaay better, but I think they rely on not having much competition in Charleston.
