I understand that businesses have the right to establish dress standards, especially cigar lounges that want to maintain a certain atmosphere. That said, the way the situation was handled came across as rude and unnecessarily dismissive. There was no effort to handle the conversation with professionalism or hospitality, especially considering we had just walked in and intended to spend time and money there. What surprised me most was how little value seemed to be placed on customer relationships. After the amount of business and loyalty I've shown to the brand over time, the interaction left me genuinely questioning whether I'll return at all. The contrast between the welcoming atmosphere at Point Hope and the experience downtown was significant and disappointing.
