The staff and teachers have a genuine love for children, they have very intentional learning goals and make it clear that spiritual growth is a top priority as they incorporate Christ and God into the curriculum each day. Our daughters teacher was phenomenal at meeting her academic needs and with regular communication we worked very closely to make sure the learning continued at home. She loves school, loves showing off what she has learned and she gets excited to see the staff members that greet her each day. HCA is a blessing to our whole family. We highly recommend this private Christian school.

Bending Oaks help save my son. He is an amazing, intelligent kid who was miserable as a sophomore at Southlake Carroll High School. After years of believing Carroll was the best we realized a change had to be made. As Jane T. and Carrie C. suggest, we interviewed, visited and "test drove" the school and my son made the most difficult decision to leave his friends and commute 60 miles each day to Bending Oaks. He has not regretted the decision and nor have we. My Son feels Bending Oaks, help change his life. I agree Bending Oaks is not for everyone and as we found out, neither is Southlake Carroll. With any private school a parent and student should find the best match. I like to describe Bending Oaks as a Dot Com and other traditional schools as big corporations. There is a mutual respect between the "management" and "individual contributors" and all are invested in the success of the school. The proof of Bending Oaks' is in my son. He was a child full of life who completely lost his spark and regained it at Bending Oaks. As a sophomore at Carroll we were afraid he wouldn't graduate. He is a senior now with a great ACT score and has 100% college acceptances one is San Diego State University. SDSU is the most desired and impacted California State University with an acceptance rate of 36%. We are so very proud of our son and so very thankful to Bending Oaks. I find the reviews by Jane T. and Carrie C. not only insulting to the teachers and staff of Bending Oaks but also to the parents and students who trust Bending Oaks every day. The faculty and volunteers hosting the game were all very nice and respectful both to the students and to the guests attending the game. It seemed like a very healthy school community as we witnessed the faculty and students interacting many times.

Most teachers are passionate about what they teach and most go beyond the call of duty. The school prides itself on a high percentage of AP students, and rightfully so! Lovejoy has something extracurricular for everyone. There is the traditional football, cheer/ drill team, volleyball, baseball, 4H etc. And then there's opportunities unlike other high schools, like Golf, Bowling, Medical Program, Lacrosse and many many more. Lovejoy supports all the activities and the school spirit can be really exciting when they combine in activities along side actual events, like Homecoming. Bullying exists. It still isn't handled to my standards, but overall the school offers a "safe environment". Like most high schools these day, Lovejoy also keeps a cop on the property at all times and the presence of a cop keeps everyone in line.

When I arrived I noticed our team was not in the dugout, while our opponent was already warming up. Good thing for Life 360 because I saw where exactly my son was at and knew they were running late. The lady mentioned there was a listed schedule to the left of the concession that was helpful and reassured me I was at the correct place. Bathrooms are located around the backside of concession.
