When we bought our home it already came with a retractable awning from sunsetters. We enjoyed it for two years when we saw the fabric ripping. We also noticed it was heavily leaning on one side and rather low hanging as well. We contacted Liberty Home Products and they sent Liam out to help us. He inspected the awning and gave us his honest opinion. Now listen, we assumed we needed a whole new awning. It seemed to be falling apart. He easily could have lied and told us that and taken our money. He didn't! He told us it was in great shape, and they could easily replace the fabric. Honesty is everything! We were very relieved. He answered all of our questions and even told us about the awning and some of its functions. We purchased the fabric from him and in under a month they were out with a small crew of 4 guys. They replaced the fabric, adjusted the awning so it was straight and raised it so it was higher. They were clean and neat and professional. Now we have a beautiful awning that looks brand new! we paid over two thousand dollars for the fabric shades for the three small west facing windows. the installers came and the shades barely cover one third of the windows and would not serve the shading purposes at all and not what what we wanted. So we promptly asked the sides to be taken down. the manager called and said there would not be any credit for get the solar shades instead. The sales person Mark and the manager in this company are not professional, they are rude and are just in a hurry to want your money. Stay away! read more

I think it's important for a company to stand by its work and its product, which is why I am writing about a recent experience regarding a retractable awning installed nine years ago. We bought our house from the heirs of the late owner, a single woman we believe was bamboozled by a terrible, lopsided installation that is now falling off the house. One of the bolts was rubbing against the canvas, so the awning developed a tear by the time we moved in two years ago. A couple of service guys came out and took pictures, and we got a call pricing the repair at $450. Not including a new awning of course, another $1300. We realize the warranty voids upon ownership transfer, but these guys and the service department obviously could see that all this was the result of a poor installation (not "the wind," as they like to say), and you'd think a reputable company would want to make things right. We called to get our awning fabric replaced. The company that installed it is closed and we had several companies refuse to replace it without us buying a whole new set- even though ours worked. Someone came out to help us choose fabric- of all the choices we still chose to stay with our current fabric. Jason and Jose came out to install. They were on time and professional. Not only did they install it beautifully, they adjusted the arm so it wasn't so low. We just built a deck and we had to duck because when the awning was out it was now too short. They fixed that easily and cleaned off the arms of the awning! They were in and out so quickly too! I am thrilled and wish I didn't wait to long! We love it! read more

Whomever is driving your company truck with license plate #DLO146 is going to kill someone. He ran a stop sign in our neighborhood and almost hit a person crossing the street. Then as he was turning west on Bowles from Simms St., he didn't yield to oncoming traffic and almost crushed a silver car that had the right of way. He literally had to stop in the middle of the street to avoid a collision. The fact that he is doing all of this in a company truck is astounding. read more

Everything was great until after the install and they got my money. I am having a problem and can't get them on the phone I keep leaving message 8 of them. And the couple of times that I was able to speak with a receptionist she said they were very busy. After looking all over town, in all the box stores, and on the Internet I finally remembered Liberty --they had made my security in 2000- and asked them to make a gate for my patio they came and measured and gave me an estimate quickly and it was well below what I thought I would spend. They beat their estimated manufacturing time by more than a week! When he came to deliver it Brad wasn't satisfied with the fit. They could have made it work and I may have never known but Brad insisted on taking it back to the shop to correct the defect. I'm thrilled!
