We recently had Liberty Homes come to our house to order a crank shade for our patio, Dylan our salesperson came out we picked the shade color, size and type we wanted we made a down payment by credit card and when I got my card statement I saw that it was charged twice and I called it to their attention and said that was fine but we were paid in full now. They came out to install the shade last week and found out it was the wrong one it was electric not manual the installers said they would need to order a part. This week we found ou it would be 4 weeks before they could come back to finish the job. I am Very Frustrated with them and we can't say we won't finish paying them for the work because they already have our money I wish I would have said I wanted Liberty Homes to reimburse the second charge until they came back to install the shade. read more

We had a custom-made door installed by Liberty Home Products in 2022. While it functions well under normal conditions, it produces a loud howling noise throughout the house whenever the wind blows. Initially, we managed the issue by cracking the door open slightly, but eventually, we called a handyman to investigate. He discovered that the frames on the two large glass inserts were not constructed correctly, leaving a gap of more than a quarter inch at each corner. When I contacted Liberty Home Products to see if they could fix the issue, they informed me that our warranty had expired. They offered to reframe the inserts for $200, but we would have to transport the heavy glass pieces to their store ourselves. The fact that the representative had a price readily available--without needing to look it up--suggests that this is a recurring issue. While I understand that warranties cover product failures, I believe construction quality should not be subject to such a short-term policy. We had no way of knowing that the glass inserts were framed so poorly until this problem was pointed out to us by the handyman. Given that we paid nearly $2,000 for this door, we expected better workmanship and a company that stands behind its products for more than just a year. What's most disappointing is that Liberty Home Products used to be a good company. We previously purchased three custom doors and two window well grates and had been satisfied with their work. We had LIberty design and install new exterior shades as well as refurbish two awnings that were originally installed by another company. The shades are well-made and came with a substantial rollup mechanism and wire track system. The refurbished awnings perfectly match the original fabric color. I bought a Liberty Awning 2 years ago - a year and a half in the awning would not extend without giving it 3 attempts. Finally after reading youtube directions (Liberty provided instructions on how to reset did not work) and trying to fix on my own for 6 months called Liberty. Apparently it costs $150 for service person to come out if past the year warranty. VERY FRUSTRATING. For the $4,000+ cost of the awning and to not work properly after 18 months my advice is to stick to their security doors - they are fabulous. Our outdoor shades are beautiful. They did a great job keeping out the heat coming into the home from the bright sunshine from the south and west. Unfortunately, one has been getting stuck, angled crooked at times when raised. I purchased a retractable awning nearly five years ago. Last year I noticed that the paint on the top trim which shields the fabric was pealing badly. Peeling, not hail damage. I called the company who told me that the paint was only guaranteed for two years!! On an item that lives outside!! My mailbox and outdoor lighting and bbq grill don't have these problems. I bought a retractable awning from Liberty Home Products. About a year and a half later it blew down in a very sudden and high wind. I contacted Liberty regarding reinstallation thinking that it should not have blown down in the first place. The owner got involved and explained to me that while it was technically out of warranty he would work with me on the reinstallation cost. He very graciously suggested we split the cost. We called Liberty Home Products for a quote on an awning for our back porch. The salesman, Mark, was very nice. However, it seems as if, once he got the sale, he lost all interest in customer service. On the day of installation, he did not show up or call, neither did the second person who came to re-measure. The installers thought there might be a problem with the studs. We called Mark, who was not available. The girl on the phone said she would have the manager call as soon as she could find him. To this day, 2 weeks later, no one has called. There has been no follow-up from either the salesperson or the manager. No one has called regarding either the installation or how we were to make payments. We called the finance company and got the information we needed. When we checked with the finance company, Synchrony, we found our first payment was due tomorrow. Based on our experience, we will never use Liberty Home Products or recommend them. read more

A few days ago, I left a bad review for a storm door that we purchased. It was not installed correctly and when the installer came out a second time, he didn't fix anything. We had to pay a handiman to fix it so that we would be able to lock it which was the primary purpose of purchaing the door. I received a phone call from Liberty within a couple of hours of my review, and an installer came out a couple of days later. The door now works perfectly. I am very happy. We first contacted Dylan while driving by the county line road store, He gave us information on retractable awnings and set up an appt. at our house a few days later. He showed us samples, looked at where the awning would be and gave us an estimate. He said the process would take 4-6 weeks. A final measurement time and installation date were set up. We were contacted by Abby at the Navajo store a couple of days before the installatio. We went to the store and selected a fabric close to what we had ordered. The installation remained as scheduled and was completed by Tyler and Jack who were both polie and professional. The entire process was done in five weeks. read more

The lady even let me borrow the color samples to take home to compare against the house's existing paint. I would have given a 5 star, but she seemed distracted and seemed to be on personal calls. She did help me with the colors and features and was knowledgeable. We got exactly what we wanted. The installer was a 5-star. He was very thorough and cleaned up any mess. We wanted to have a patio door installed. They came out and did a measurement and wrote and estimate. We were told it would take 3 weeks to get the door in. I gave the salesman my key so it can be matched to our other door. We didn't hear anything, so started calling and was not getting return calls. Finally I got ahold of the salesman and he said he lost my key! Then another man came to do measurements and said that it would be an additional $300 because the glass would have to be custom cut. They make the doors when you order them! The curious thing is we were told our door was a 1/4" off. Well we live in a neighborhood who all have the same exact door. It seems like a very sketchy policy to suddenly let you know that it will be $300 above the first estimate! read more

I was very impressed with Stu who estimated the new security replacement door for our commercial property. He is very responsive and followed up with me immediately. I called to see if they had the plastic type window well covers since all I could see on their website was the metal ones. The guy answered and acted put out to talk to me, so I ask if they sold the plastic type covers, he responded with something... Carbon something, so I ask if that was the plastic type and he acted like I was stupid... Yes he replied. So then I ask him if they did installation, and he sighs... yes. The initial sales and explanation process was a 5. The follow up and installation was a 2. The day of the first appointment for installation I got a call after they were supposed to be here to reschedule for 11 days later. Today they were supposed to be here between 11 and 1. I called at 1:15 and was told they would be here between 2 and 2:30. They showed up at 3:15. The installation went OK and they left at 4:15. I then spent 30 minutes cleaning up the mess they left. Would I recommend them? After weighing the pros and cons of the experience, probably not. read more

Liberty Home Products is an interesting company. Where do I begin. After the initial talk with the sales rep, you cannot get a hold of him anymore. He will defer you to everyone else in the company before you talk to him. Even with emails, phone calls, and voicemails left asking for a return phone call. Secondly, the customer service manager will talk down to you and degrade you over the phone claiming that her experience as a customer service manager trumps anyone else's knowledge anywhere. Period. I couldn't get any information from anyone as to when permits were submitted and approved, or as to when they actually ordered the material. When trying to find out about permit approval, they said they were still waiting on the city. This was about 25-30 days after submittal I eventually found out. I then proceeded to call the city, who claimed turn around time for approvals is only 8-10 days. They will beat around the bush with every answer you are trying to get. I will say, I am happy with the product in the end, however, Liberty is not the manufacturer, just the installer. During the install process, there were two holes over the size of a quarter that were left in my stucco that the installer just caulked over. They were careless with materials and had a lot of touching up to do at the end of the day. Not going to call out anyone specifically, but buyer beware, this company will withhold information from the customer and is a total headache to deal with from day one. If you are looking for an easy process from the start, this is not your company. read more

Unresponsive (after they take your money) and unprofessional (made promises, signed paperwork and then backed out of pricing, delivery dates and even being able to provide the product THEY recommended for us). On top of it all, the guy who came out to our home to build the product was as classless as they come - he practically threw a temper tantrum on our front lawn when we pushed him on why they could no longer provide the product they pushed so hard to sell us (no good answer by the way ). We took our business elsewhere and experienced MUCH better service by people who seem to know what they're actually doing. Do yourself a favor and skip the headache with these guys. I will say that we had this experience with the Highlands Ranch store, not the Denver store, but I didn't see a yelp for the HR store. They're probably smart enough to know not to put one up. read more

Much like another review wrote, the wait time is much too long between order and installation. I know they're custom made....but may I recommend Six Sigma??? I ordered a security door. Two weeks after the ordering with the salesman and putting 1/2 down, I get a call that the official measurements were done and I needed to pay another $80 for extra tubing around the door. Reluctantly I agreed...only because I wanted my door and didn't want to have to start over with another company. So it was 6 weeks from order to install.
