We had our windows replaced and I'd highly recommend! Their prices are so much lower than the national companies that spend a ton on advertising and fliers! They allowed us to install half the windows, but priced out for all the windows and Locke sin the price for a year. There was a slight l miscommunication about whether or not we would get the prices that were quoted if we ordered within a year of the first purchase, or whether they quoted that we'd pick in the discounts. Ultimately they offered us what they quoted (just ensure you have a clear understanding.) The installer is great, efficient, friendly, on time and clean. The windows are great so far. We notice a huge difference in the upstairs bedrooms that previously would be much colder than the rest of the house. It has also reduced the noise. I'd recommend getting a quote! read more

This company doesn't stand behind their work. They claim "lifetime warranty" but that's actually on the window unit which is made by Amerimax.  Turns out, the installation warranty is only two years. I have a six year old window that was serviced by them four years after installation and now it has become apparent that there is some serious water damage under the window. They refuse to take any responsibility and only offered to give me a bid to fix it.  I can't even fathom how after 6 years anyone would think this even remotely acceptable. read more

We worked with Alex at the Lakewood, CO, office, and he was very clear in explaining the features of their windows, which would be replacing 20-year-old builder-grade windows. Buying in the "slow" season saved us some cash, which was pleasant. The installers also were the ones who did the measuring, so they were aware of any accessibility issues inside and out. The admin folks took care of required city permits and scheduling the inspection. Nine windows were installed by mid-afternoon; they removed and replaced each window one by one so that the house was not open to the cold any more than necessary. All in all, we're very happy. Very unethical business practices. We replaced windows with them on the second floor in three different phases. Everything was ok until their contractors damaged our expensive blinds and bathtub during the last phase. It wasn't easy to work with them to get these damages taken care of. They finally fixed the bathtub and replaced torn blinds, but refused to service us going forward. Very unreliable. You can do business with them as long as you plan on covering any damages out of your own pocket. However, if you encounter any damages for which you think it would be fair for them to cover the cost and compensate you, you will be out of luck proceeding with other installations and will end up looking for a different company. read more

Not sure why Google is saying I'm in CA...I am in Denver, CO FYI. To preface, I am a female homeowner in my 20s. I requested a quote as I would like to replace a few exterior doors in my home. Upon arrival, the employee called me 'babe' and proceeded to question me on whether or not I had roommates and if they were home at the present time making me extremely uncomfortable. Thankfully, my fiancé was home and made his presence known after he heard what was being said. We proceeded with the quote portion of the meeting. I was looking for extremely basic door replacements and was transparent about that fact...and yet the quote they returned was more than $10k for one door. That price did NOT include labor. The employee went on and on about how their doors are hand made by Amish and so superior to everyone else. I let him know the door was a little out of my price range and he made a comment about "having a feeling that would be the case when he drove up" and then tried to back track by saying our place was nice. He then proceeded to bash other companies in the area and told me I wouldn't find a cheaper quote anywhere else. Also, for reference, I worked in project management for a commercial general contractor for over (5) years and not a single door we installed in any hospital, movie theatre, office building, etc. cost that much. They are absolutely looking to rip you off. Whole thing felt wildly unprofessional and he told me he had worked for the company for 20+ years. I do not know anything about this companies work. However, they have been calling my number for over a year, lately 5+ times a week. I do not know how they got my number, as I never give out my number to anyone, for anything. I never gave anyone permission to give out my number. No one in my household would give out my number, as we do not need any work done. I have called and asked them to stop calling,numerous times, to no avail. It is very aggravating. If I could give zero stars I would. Complete scam. Salesman was early for appointment that's the only reason I'm giving one star. However, once inside my house, he wanted to watch the news and comment on current affairs. You're told that they need 90 minutes to complete the quote/estimate. No. They need about 10 minutes. The rest of the time is spent badmouthing other companies and beating around the bush. We were told that we had an odd sized door and so that would require special measurements and special door order. Not true. We have a standard door and need a standard door replaced. Whenever I would ask a direct question about a sales quote or how long their sale was on for, I was not given a direct answer and instead redirected to information the salesman had already told me. There was maximum pressure to sign a deal for Amerimax patio door and we were told they were the ONLY dealer with Amerimax doors and windows. Not true!!!! There are other dealers in the Denver metro that are selling Amerimax doors and windows at half the price quoted. I have over 11 windows in my house that need replaced but I can tell you one thing: Conservation Construction will not be doing the work. Run. Run as far as you can from this scamtastic company and save yourself 90 minutes of beating around the bush and very little direct answers to your questions. read more

I contacted Conservation Construction and they refused to work on fixing my windows. They don't do repairs, they don't fix the drywall if needed, they only sell new windows and won't even bother with a sales meeting unless you agree to purchase at least four new windows. I can assume the windows may be good, but if a business only does jobs with high enough profit margins based on economies of scale or potential for extra sales growth it kinda makes me wonder. Its reminds me of those old gym memberships where they won't tell you the price until you go into a special room and they write the price on a piece of paper and slide it over to you. I am updating my review because we had the windows and doors installed last week. I am changing to 5 stars because the installers and the product are top quality. Pros: * Professional, skilled installers. The installers completed 15 windows and 2 sliding doors from 9 AM to 6 PM on a Wednesday. They took great care in removing the existing windows and doors and used special tape to remove all the glass without leaving any behind. They also swept up debris and disposed of trash in their own trash bin. They didn't leave any food or drinks behind. It was very obvious that they were experienced in their profession. * Superior quality and visually pleasing product. We ordered the white frame windows and doors and they completely enhanced the look of our house. In one week we already notice a difference in the temperature control inside the house. As I stated before, the material does not allow any heat. The ease of sliding the doors and windows is also an added bonus. It is so much better than the previous sliding doors we had that would be difficult to open and close. * Salesman had samples and scale models of product. He showed us the different options for framing material. He did a series of tests with a heat lamp in one hand, glass in the middle and heat reader on other side and tested different types of glass and his company's glass. The company glass was the only sample that allowed zero heat through. * Salesman lowered the price. When we initially talked to the salesman, the price was 50k and we were not going to pay that at all. My husband bartered with him and the salesman offered a deal in which he would lower the price to 30k if we did x,y and z (like leave a review on Company website, keep company lawn sign in our lawn for 30 days, etc) My husband said that was still too much. Salesman called his dad who is the owner of company and was able to bring price down to 20k. I guess some customers accept the first price mentioned. Cons: * Unprofessional sales tactics. It's unfortunate that most of the reviews are based on the salesmen. If you actually are interested in new windows and doors, this company has a great product. We originally contacted Conservation Construction to replace the four original builder-grade side-sliding windows in our home which all were not operating properly. The salesman took the time to discuss and demonstrate the attributes of each of their products without pressuring for a sale. We can confirm that the quality of the product is high, helping to temper the effects of our strong Colorado sun and providing us modern windows that are easy to use and clean. Once we replaced the four inoperable windows, the difference was so evident that there was no question we wanted to continue with the rest of our home's windows. Thanks to Conservation Construction's "price lock," we were able to accomplish this project over a four-year period within budget and without worry of pricing increases. We have had no reservations recommending this company to several of our neighbors. Better yet, the crew did a fantastic job reinstalling all of the wires that come to our home - so much cleaner and better attached than they were before the installation. TLDR - Great windows, crappy communication / scheduling process. We have used Conservation twice - for our main & upstairs floors, and again a year later for our basement. The windows themselves are awesome, no issues after a year. Pricing was reasonable - half the price of Anderson and windows that feel close to the same quality. The install was quick and professional, and they cleaned up after themselves. HOWEVER, the actual sales and scheduling process is awful. To get your initial quote requires a ~2 hour appointment, with both spouses present (required) to listen to a sales pitch of the windows and get measurements for pricing - this is informative but overkill. Then, at some point 1-2 weeks after you sign the contract they will call you to schedule a real measuring appointment, where they come back and measure the windows for ordering purposes. Then, some indeterminate amount of time later, whenever your windows arrive, they will call you for scheduling. You will not hear from them during this time period, which can take anywhere from 2 - 8 weeks. This method of scheduling means you are largely in the dark on timing, so don't even try to coordinate this with other renovation projects. On our second install the contract included a "must install by date" and then showed minimal concern for meeting that commitment (requiring lots of follow-up on my part to ensure we hit the date). Additionally, you should only give them the phone number of the person you want them to schedule with, because they will call your spouse incessantly even after multiple requests to not call them. Also, just a note, it took them two weeks to cash our check. Overall, despite the windows being nice, we will probably work with someone else on our next house due to the onerous communication / scheduling protocol. read more

These people came to our door and asked to give us a quote on new windows. We let them know that we ARE interested in new windows within the year but just bought the house so aren't committing or even getting quotes yet. They said their quotes are good for a year and asked to come anyway just to give us an idea. Great!! We are always interested in keeping our money local and working with a small business. Had the salesman come to give us the quote with the company knowing (they call a lot before appointments!) that we only wanted a quote but weren't pulling the trigger yet. Salesman was quick, informative etc. when it came time to give the bid and us mentioning (AGAIN) that we weren't quite ready and needed to review, there was a very uncomfortable comment on our professional jobs and a "I mean I know you have the money so what's the issue". Awkward!! Still considering them because the price/quality and pitch was great before that but the weird comment and pressure was enough to provide this feedback to maybe be more respectful and less salespitchy and they could really knock the competitors down. read more

Very satisfied! I'm a very conservative do-it-yourself-er and have a diverse construction background. I had a cracked window from house settling and decided to allow Conservation Construction an opportunity to give me an estimate. Two years prior, I covered my own windows in Gila window film and know that made a big difference in blocking the heat transfer for both winter and summer so I wasn't about to be sold on window replacement. Upon seeing and measuring the difference in some of my non-film covered windows, and my film covered windows and than comparing them to the windows offered from Conservation Construction, it was an easy decision to upgrade. We can now sit on the couch in front of our 9 large windows in a vaulted ceiling room and not feel the temperature extremes on the really hot/cold days. The same-as-cash financing and the fact that we could do one, some or all windows made it easy on the budget. This was our second year of purchasing and nearly all of the windows have been replaced along with a sliding patio door. Huge improvement! I wasnt interested since again they knocked at my door and I also know the expense of replacing them. Unfortunately, when he finished and we weren't ready to commit then and there to shelling thousands of dollars, he became visibly upset and his whole demeanor changed. conservation construction. .. this company first came to our attention by soliciting at our front door. typically i would be really annoyed by this approach, but as the guy started in on his spiel, i couldn't help but acknowledge to myself that we did indeed have two cracked windows on our pending to-do list. so i gave the guy our contact info.. and while i waited for a call, i did a little research on the company.. naturally this included reading up on yelp reviews. to my alarm, there were a handful of bad reviews, mostly stating that once these people have your phone number they will essentially stalk you. (!!!) so when i got a call from them.. i immediately expressed my red-flag concerns about what i've read and went into a, "we're interested in a quote, but please don't call us 400 times" .. well, thankfully, they did not stalk us. and we now have AWESOME new windows installed. seriously awesome windows. the hot/cold insulation from the outdoors is a thousand times better than our last windows. what really impressed me is how time efficient these guys were with the installation. they got in, they got out. for the number of windows we had done, i was expecting them to be there all day.. not the case. more like a matter of a few hours. pleasant surprise. my only suggestion is that they improve with appointment confirmation. our original installation got changed due to awful weather. when the new date rolled around, it would have been nice to get a phone call the day before, confirming that they approved of the weather and would definitely be there (lots of planning involved- time off work, etc.). we had to call them. great windows though! read more

If I could give this company a zero star rating I would!! They came out to give me an estimate and then refused to give me one because my husband wan't home with me to receive the estimate. I told them that I would be handling EVERYTHING and I was then told that it's their company policy to NOT give an estimate to what they call "one-legged" which means to only the wife or husband. I am hugely offend that they refused to give me an estimate because my husband wasn't home. I told them that my husband won't be around for any of the estimates and if this is how they do business I don't even want a business card or information on their company. He tried to defend his comments by saying that they've been in business for years and this is their company policy and that he shouldn't even be speaking with me if my husband wasn't around. The windows I got are not by any means cheap, but they were not the most expensive either (I researched). You get what you pay for, after all. I didn't have an overly greedy sales person and I understand they need to make a living also. With that being said, the windows quality is good. I did see some precipitation at the first cold since installation, but it went away within 24 hrs or so and never appeared again (2 years now). Installers were courteous, professional, friendly, efficient and thorough. As a bonus they cleaned the windows, collected fallen debris inside and outside, and swept the floor. When I'm ready to replace remaining windows (no problems yet), I will definitely keep Conservation Construction in mind. read more

This is the second time we ordered Conservation Construction windows. In our on personal home about 8 years ago and we still LOVE our windows and again with a fix and flip project we did on a property listing my husband and I did on Glencoe Street in Park Hill. The representative, Cody, we worked with was a super guy, gave us a super price, great customer service, the company had fast response and turn around time and the windows are Great! The only reason I did not rate this company five stars is because, not that we weren't forewarned, but we didn't like that the independent contractor installer requires more money if the home window sills contain lead based paint! The cost for using manual tools opposed to electric tools because of the lead based paint, ate up the savings we were given initially! But overall we were happy with the service the company provided. read more

I've actually never posted a review before and I know there is always good and bad for everything but I thought that windows are such a big purchase and I've been so impressed with Conservation Construction (CC) to date that I would share my experience, which has been nothing but great! In response to the other reviewers the reason they use flyers is because that is essentially the only advertising that they do. That way they don't need to jack up the price on their products to cover an insanely expensive TV, radio, print advertisement/marketing budget. It can be old fashion and annoying to some but it saved me money so I'm fine with it. Buying new windows can be a daunting experience since it's such a big purchase and there are so many companies out there you want to be sure you pick the right one. We met with a few of the bigger companies to get quotes, they gave us their dog and pony show and we felt pressured to sign on the dotted line right then and there to lock in their "awesome" deals. Well, 40k to replace our windows (oh excuse me 35k with the discount) didn't seem too "awesome" to me and who makes that kind of financial decision on the spot without thinking about it first (which is what they hope for) or being told you are crazy for passing up this deal because of course there will never be a better one. Yeah right. Anyway, we had a gentleman drop off a flyer one day for CC and after some preliminary research online we thought why not. We met with Steve who walked us through their product line. What I liked about the presentation (which of course they have to do to show you their products) is that he wasn't pushy; he didn't bash the other companies but focused on their products; and when we talked about getting a certain kind of patio door he pointed out a few logistical things and made some other recommendations which surprisingly weren't the more expensive options, they would just work better for what we were looking for (unheard of right?!). When all was said and done the quote he gave us was less than 1/2 the price the other big companies were quoting us. In addition, we were told to think about it because it was such a big decision. After our consultation we had a few follow up questions and Steve was very responsive getting back to us either by phone or email within a day. We ended up getting some of our windows and a door wall replaced. Steve gave us an anticipated time when they would be ready and they were installed pretty much right on time. The guys that came over were very professional, got 4 windows and the door wall installed within 3 hours and you wouldn't know they were ever there because they left the house as clean as it was found. We love our windows and door wall. They are so easy to use and clean and they are definitely more insulating then our old ones. We will definitely continue to use CC for the remainder of our windows. read more

I couldn't be more pleased with the work this company has done over the years. We've replaced all the windows in our home over time -- at an excellent price that was locked in from year one. The windows and hardware are very high in quality, easy to clean, and the older ones still lock firmly and slide effortlessly on their tracks. The insulation qualities are superb, reducing our heating and air conditioning bills very significantly and sealing the house against drafts in winter. The same installer has done most of the work. He and his crew leave no tracks, and they work quickly enough to swap out windows even in winter, when temporary, gaping holes in one's wall could become a problem. The caulking was meticulously applied, and the finished product looks great inside and out. read more
