There is no posting how many people are ahead of you. I got my text 45 minutes after I checked in, when I was already being helped at the Parkville DMV. The NKC DMV has a helpful person that reviews documents. She was patient as one person was screaming at her that he pays taxes and needs an ID. She called for police assistance. At that point I had been waiting for 20 minutes, no idea how much longer, what was going to happen to the guy yelling he pays his bills and the police show up. I took my documents and slipped out.

They have redone the building since Covid and it's brighter, more user friendly and less waiting! There is a front desk and a person directs you to where you need to go. They have big monitors so you can see your number and wait time on the screen. Very fancy! The examiner was very nice and cordial. It was a quick, easy process and even enjoyable. Next time I won't be so reluctant to get my license renewed. There is plenty of parking and the building is easily accessible. There was also plenty of seating in the waiting area.
