The owner is so rude and disrespectful to her employees and the guys who deliver and stock the shelves. She'll ream them out in front of customers, then turn to you and act polite asking if you need help. I can't support someone who treats workers that way. read more

This is a very underestimated store. They have always had everything I have looked for including Chartreuse, which I could not find anywhere. During the "COVID" hysteria, they were the only store that respected my freedom not to wear a mask, thus living up to their name. read more

Can't believe they aren't abiding by govt guidelines. Employees were not wearing masks, they weren't cleaning after each customer and they didn't wash the carts or offer hand sanitizer. The owner said "she didn't give a rats as$ if her employees wore masks". She did however have a lovely display of trump winery bottles on the counter as if to make a statement. Another employee also didn't hold the door open and shut it on my face when I was carrying bottles. A nicer employee stepped up and grabbed it for me. Good luck to her! She lost customers today. Awful experience there. At the counter I heard,"young lady" multiple times (I'm 31 by the way). I was then questioned several times, apparently by the owner, if I was with a car full of what looked like college kids outside. After saying no, she proceeds to ask several more times like I was lying. So rude and unprofessional to accuse my of trying to buy alcohol for minors in front of a crowded register. This place was very close to our friends house so we stopped to get some wine on our way over for dinner. Wine selection is not the largest but you can get common brands. I wish there had been more chilled wines and chilled bubbly available. I had to purchase warm and chill later. read more

Ok - I am trying to be an objective reviewer - my history prof. always said ther is no such thing.... The reveal is someone in the trades has a beef w/ the owner about a business dealing. That said and I intend no slander... the review: Good selection of domestic and foreign wine - good / honest prices. Booze similar - i was surprised to see Russian Standard Vodka (terriific wheat based Vodka) handle at Boston price 26 usd. Beer was good as well enough small batch/ indy stuff and major players. I bought a 12 pack of Lime ultra for around 14 to 15 I think. Service was a bit lame/ slow and no one offered any help. i was carded - I am 39 and feel I look it but maybe I also look like an undercover cop????? One of my favorite spots to pick up something. Aside from Kappy's in Falmouth this store has a great selection of beers and spirits. There are always great sales and they carry all the seasonal beers and then some. I like to grab a few nips if i'm seeing a movie across the way in the commons and they have a huge selection to choose from. Service is friendly. Nothing more nothing less, and there is usually someone roaming the floors seeing if you need help with anything. read more

I went into Liberty Liquors in Mashpee yesterday evening. There were 2 staff members there, one stocking shelves and one checking people out. Both had their masks or neck gaiters pulled down and resting around their neck and not even attempting to cover their nose and mouth. I asked the fellow checking me out to put his mask on and he did so annoyingly and only briefly and pulled it down again defiantly before he finished checking me out. I believe we all have an obligation to not accept this blatant disregard for our health. I won't go to Liberty Liquor's again and would encourage everyone to boycott business's who allow their staff to have such overt indifference for the health of their customers. read more

My wife and I used to go here all the time until the pandemic started and the staff refused to wear masks. I walked by last week and some of the employees were wearing masks, the two owners were not, but were walking around the store near customers and other employees. I drove to Andy's Market where everyone had masks on. In April one of the owners walked right up close to my wife while not wearing a mask. My wife who was wearing one, backed up horrified. Naukabout Brewery, Kappy's in Falmouth and Cotuit Liquors in Marstons Mills are also following Governor Baker's order and are better choices if you value your health. I just got off the phone with a very friendly and professional woman named Candice. I called to dispute a charge on the CC. She was very patient. Never lost her pleasant demeanor. I almost never use this card, so when I saw the charge, I called to get it reversed. Now your expecting me to say "she took care of it....". Well she did, and I was the one who was wrong. The charge posted yesterday, but it was from a visit several days prior. There seem to be packies on every corner on Cape Cod, but I will choose LL next time I'm in town for this reason. Just got home. Overcharged on my cc on 2 different products. Amstel Light for $27.99 case, charged $29.99 and Jack's Abbey 12 pack cans for $14.99, charged $16.99. Called and spoke to a woman who said because I got the 2 12 pack bottles of Amstel Light, the price was $29.99 (there were no cases of 24 loose bottles-that's why I mentioned it to the cashier). Then on the Jack's Abbey, she concurred that I was overcharged $2.00, but that I would have to come in to get my credit. WTF?! I don't like getting ripped off. It's not the $4.00-it's the way it was handled. read more

Liberty is the closest packie to my sister's house, so we use it a lot when we're visiting. The wine and beer selections are pretty good for a smallish shop. Staff will generally not ask if you need help, so of you do, you may have to get someone's attention. One guy in there is very good, and knows a lot about their indie beers, so if you catch him you're in luck. They sometimes have wine or liquor promos, good for trying something new without commitment. Prices are average for the area. read more

The prices are very good and I buy wine and beer by the case and NEVER have been asked if I need any help getting my purchases to my car. I'm not complaining about a couple bottles of wine and six pack, and this won't stop me from shopping at Liberty, but the customer service is awful. so if you are gearing up for a party make sure you bring along a friend to help because you won't get any there. read more

Have a great experience with these folks-all the staff is kind of knowledgeable and the layout and selection are really great. They carry a lot of your typical brands of wine beer and liquor-as well as some really cool labels that you may not be as you know you're with. Check out their selection of Wash Ashore beers which can be hard to find outside the Cape. read more

I do not know what the other reviewers were looking for from the sales staff, but a couple of them were very helpful to us in selecting reasonably priced wines for a holiday party attended by a cosmopolitan, international group. I recently went to Liberty Liquors to make a large purchase of wine and was not happy with the service that was provided to me. I found the clerk working to be more rude than helpful from the time I placed my request. I called the store to make sure my wine order was ready and when I arrived I asked to check everything out before I left to make sure everything was correct and felt like the clerk wanted to go to battle with me. The next time I need to make a large purchase I will go somewhere else even if it's further away. read more

I shop at Liberty Liquors when I'm in the area, and always find what I need. Recently I was searching for a few liquors that I needed to make a rather exotic drink, and the person who helped me was very knowledgeable and explained the difference between one liquor that had two versions with the same name but different colors. (The drink was awesome!) The prices are great, and the staff is friendly (usually a deal breaker for me...I won't spend my money at a business that isn't cordial to its customers). This store is too small to be of any use. We were looking for a local craft beer which is carried by every package store in the area. We finally found it in the cooler at floor level, literally on the floor. As you can guess, because it was beneath eye level, it was stale. They have no real beer section. First off, I just turned 21 a month ago and decided to stop in with my boyfriend (22) and brother (26) just because I can. Anyways, my boyfriend grabbed a can of bud light and we headed right for the checkout. The cashier asked for both of our IDs so we handed them over with no thought about it. The cashier took my boyfriend's card and was really examining it to the extreme. Front, back, making sure the hologram was legitimate (understandable, we both look a lot younger than we are). But then she asked for a second form of ID from him and we were a little puzzled because although we do look young, we've never had a second guess QUITE this exaggerated. She then asked him "Are you 21?" and he assured her that he was actually 22 and had sort of a 'Really?' look on his face. I made a joke on our behalf and said "Well, if you're going to be skeptical then I may as well take mine back.". (Just KNOWING she would have asked me for another form as well, because people tend to think I'm not a day over 16). Immediately she got extremely defensive and asked me if I had a problem. Long story short, she refused to sell him a can of beer. Also, denied my brother who had a completely separate transaction because she "didn't want to deal with the attitude". I felt completely disrespected and discriminated against. We are both served at bars and numerous liquor stores in the vicinity and could NOT believe what had happened. I guess my advice to everybody is that if you don't look like you're old enough to buy, you probably will not be buying anything from Liberty Liquors. Maybe it was a bad day for her but I don't think what she did was professional and in the end, the store will be losing out on a few potentially loyal customers. read more
