Here is the review: "Tour was just okay. We didn't stop at things people clearly wanted to stop at and there was a lot that no one cared about. The driver (my wife said his name was Richard) was anxious to get through the tour because there was so much to see in 3 hours... I'm like, okay then let's stop at the stuff people want to take pics of and blow off the rest of this crap. He also zoomed by and barely slowed down long enough to take a photo of something other than the back of the hand of the person sitting in front of you... the hand that was still there because they didn't have time to take a pic either. The driver also talked about Obama and Clinton the ENTIRE tour. I lost count at 8 stories. (This is not an exaggeration.) Captain Jake and the crew were a pleasure to listen to--knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely fun. The tour around Hyannis Harbor was beautiful, offering stunning views as the sun set over the water. The boat itself was spotless and very comfortable, and the whole crew was incredibly friendly and welcoming. It felt like the perfect way to spend a summer evening--relaxing, scenic, and well-hosted. I'd definitely recommend Bay Spirit Tours to anyone visiting the area. A top-notch experience from start to finish! They have been around for many years at the harbor. We ended up watching a beautiful sunset on the beach, enjoying the beverages we brought along. Personally, I'd recommend doing the Suburbans over the Broncos. We were originally disappointed when we realized we had reserved the former, but having done the trip, I'm not seeing the value of paying so much more for basically the same tour. The vessel can really move fast on the way to the Stellwagen Bank marine sanctuary & the whales. The boat uses water jet propulsion "like a giant jet ski" to avoid harming marine life. The captain skilfully steered the vessel with great consideration for the whales. I thought we'd see one or two whales. But we saw many more. The captain announced where the passengers could see the whales as they surfaced. To give passengers a chance to see the whales, the captain gently turned the boat. Ben, an onboard naturalist, came by and offered information about the whales. He had a set of photos of whale flukes and explained how they identify individual whales. Markings are like fingerprints. Fascinating. Highly recommended this whale watching cruise.
