I went to get the item, they told me they didn't have it and canceled the order but refused to give me my money back. Said it had to come from Corporate and would take 7-10 days. Two full weeks later and I never got my money back. They said I'd have to contact my bank and file a claim. Local store management said they are independent of Ace corporate and could not help me. DO NOT BUY FROM ACE! They take your money, waste your time, won't give you the time and refuse to return your money! You won't have this issue with the big box stores. blatant fraud of a business!

Why do you always put rude people in your paint department? This is the second time I experienced…read morerude service from staff in the paint department. I stopped in last night for a gallon of paint and simply asked for a recommendation. The guy working told me that all paint was the same, and if I wasn't getting good results, I must be applying it wrong and using the wrong roller. If all paint is created equal then why is there such a vast price difference amongst different brands? He then proceeded to disagree with me when I told him the last time I bought a specific one coat paint it did not cover in one coat and he claimed that no one else has ever had that problem. I walked straight out of the store, went directly to Home Depot. Last summer, I had a similar experience with a woman working in the paint department who was dismissive and rude to me when I asked about Minwax wood stain. Another instance last summer, I was looking to replace all the windows in my house and was in this store looking at options. There was a young guy working in that department, and when I told him I wanted windows that tilted in for easy cleaning, he literally laughed at me and said "Don't all windows tilt in?" Guess where I didn't buy my new window from? The majority of your employees are very kind and helpful but you need to do a better job of weeding out these employees who talk down to your customers and send them directly to your competition.

Despite a nation-wide shortage, R.G. Behers obtained the generator that we wanted in short order, because they're a long-time installer with a great service record. When we lost electricity for 3 days last month, the generator turned itself on and the automatic transfer switch "took over" our electric panel, with no disruption in heat, light or any of our electric fixtures. No mess, no need to go out into the snowstorm, no need to fill fuel tanks. Great people to work with!
