    Place is well run and the majority of the staff is great. However one of the owners is nasty and belligerent.

    Can they repair a table lamp? The pull cord does not work

    We repair table and floor lamps within our Electrical Department. There are some exceptions where a situation is too unique for us to solve, but in-general any lamp with a plug can be re-wired or repaired. Thanks for asking!

I put my furniture cushions out from June till September and they sit with very little use and well taken care of. Unfortunately, I am very displeased with the them. When I first received the one cushion the thread that they used was dry rotted and falling apart. I'm not sure how long the cushions were sitting around before they were sent to the store, or if they were truly custom made for me and the person just used older thread . The other issue is that my buttons keep falling off from the plastic. They replaced the buttons and gave back-up but the string to attach the buttons can only be handled so many times before wearing it out. I should not have to do this! My cushions were very expensive and I was fine with that, because umbrella material is great quality and know to last. The material stills looks great and the shape is still intact (seat cushions) as I am meticulous about taking care of my belongings. However, craftsmanship with the stitching and the ongoing issues with the buttons coming apart are awful. Now my beautiful expensive cushions are trashy looking, and do not hold shape on the back cushion since the buttons can no longer be attached to pull the cushions in. I am very disappointed and the store should have offer a better solution from the beginning and allowed me to choose a different style with a different company. Not happy with how the Mt. Lebanon store handled my order and sold me defective cushions. I hoped for a better outcome and better customer from this store.

    My wife and I went to your store the week of Nov 12,2015 to look at cooktops. We talked with…read moresalesman regarding options to replace existing cooktop. Few options but he printed out one that would most likely work. Sales needed info/pictures from existing cooktop so they could arrange for install team to come to our house to make sure new unit would work. We sent what was needed on Nov 17th. We did not hear back from DA so we contacted the salesperson who acted surprised. He said he would reach out to installers again. Waited over 1 week and again never heard back. I called him again in approximately 2 weeks (12/1/25).He again acted surprised and said he will email the installers again. I suggested he call them since emails have not worked. Keep in mind that the salesperson never reached out to us. We had to reach out to him which showed a lack of caring/professionalism. On our visit to DA the week of Nov 12 we said our goal was to have a new cooktop by Christmas since we were hosting 20 people. Salesman said that should not be a problem. On 12/6 we had not heard from the installers nor salesperson. Our feeling was if this is the type of service Dormont Appliance provides, we should try a different company that would care about their customers. Since contacting Don's Appliance they placed our order and it has been delivered. We never told Dormont that we were no longer interested just to see if we would ever hear from them. NEVER HEARD FROM SALESMAN NOR INSTALLERS. Our order was not big but we have shared our experience with friends and family. I would never recommend Dormont Appliance.

The staff at Alpine Pools, in Bethel Park, recommended the exact chemicals needed, recommended the correct time to let the chemicals work and most importantly, recommended when it would be safe to use. ALL of the "in store" staff has been understanding, helpful and informative. One employee that went "above and beyond" was Kloe. She followed up with phone calls and made sure we were satisfied with our service and the status of our pool. The water was low and so much algae that the green water looked like slime. The guy from Alpine pools came, tinkered a bit then left and sent a bill. They basically drained the antifreeze, primed the pump and heft. We were so naive as to to think they would "open" the pool. You know, clear up three Water, or empty pool and get new water.
