An Absolute Kitchen Renovation Nightmare with Lowe's - 6 Months and Still Unfinished! Our kitchen renovation project with Lowe's commenced on June 28, 2025, and what was promised as an exciting upgrade has turned into an unmitigated disaster and a six-month-long nightmare. It is now December 15, 2025, and our kitchen is still a non-functional construction zone. The level of incompetence, inaction, and sheer disregard from Lowe's staff--from the local store management to their corporate "Executive Customer Relations" team --has been appalling. We are a couple over 60, and a proud veteran family, who invested our hard-earned savings into this project. We have been met with nothing but disrespect and neglect. Here are the shocking lowlights of our ongoing ordeal: * Continuous Failures: The current date is December 15, 2025. The refrigerator cabinet panel was delivered for the FOURTH time, and it is still the wrong size. We still have NO countertop six months in. * Broken Promises & Financial Strain: We are still awaiting multiple promised reimbursements and credits totaling over $5,000 for a botched electrical installation, restocking fees, and price adjustments. Lowe's has repeatedly promised these in writing (emails dating back to August and September 2025) but failed to deliver. * Unresolved Issues Galore: Our kitchen is a laundry list of errors: damaged cabinets, misaligned doors, huge gaps in crown molding, appliance interference (dishwasher handle hits a cabinet door, preventing a drawer from opening), and missing parts (range vent filter). * Zero Accountability: We have sent dozens of emails and made numerous phone calls documenting every issue. Every time we think we've reached someone who can help (like the corporate team), we hit another wall of inaction. We were actually told Lowe's didn't want to pay for an installer to come out and fix a simple issue, so we had to wait months. We have been forced to live without a functional kitchen since August. Why do you always put rude people in your paint department? This is the second time I experienced rude service from staff in the paint department. I stopped in last night for a gallon of paint and simply asked for a recommendation. The guy working told me that all paint was the same, and if I wasn't getting good results, I must be applying it wrong and using the wrong roller. If all paint is created equal then why is there such a vast price difference amongst different brands? He then proceeded to disagree with me when I told him the last time I bought a specific one coat paint it did not cover in one coat and he claimed that no one else has ever had that problem. I walked straight out of the store, went directly to Home Depot. Last summer, I had a similar experience with a woman working in the paint department who was dismissive and rude to me when I asked about Minwax wood stain. Another instance last summer, I was looking to replace all the windows in my house and was in this store looking at options. There was a young guy working in that department, and when I told him I wanted windows that tilted in for easy cleaning, he literally laughed at me and said "Don't all windows tilt in?" Guess where I didn't buy my new window from? The majority of your employees are very kind and helpful but you need to do a better job of weeding out these employees who talk down to your customers and send them directly to your competition. read more

Elder Abuse by Lowe's? I'm calling out Lowe's Home Improvement for what I believe is a serious case of elder abuse. They took money from a senior citizen and have refused to provide the services promised -- no installation, no resolution, and no accountability. This isn't just bad customer service -- it's exploitation. Seniors deserve protection, respect, and dignity -- not to be ignored or taken advantage of. Don't ever buy an appliance from them, this is fair warning. I bought her from the Steubenville store. They sent it from another store in Washington PA and the Lowe's store in Washington PA does not pick up their phone. Which makes things very difficult and then I called Corprate and they know what I got a voicemail box that was full.. The appliances weren't leveled they're already leaking and I've used them for one week. The delivery guy wrecked the truck and did a shitty job. They had been here twice and they had to come out again and they just paid me off. But then the next day, the pan in the washing machine was full so the machine has a leak and I think it's just because it's not level. I called Maytag to get results. Fuck lowes!!!! read more

I was at Lowe's around 5:30/6pm on March 29, 2021. They had 1 person working the customer service return desk, there was an extremely long line, it took at least 45 minutes for me to be helped, for 1 simple return. This wouldn't have been a problem but I did see 2 employees sitting behind the customer service area, just sitting there, talking to each other and playing on their phones - they showed no interest in helping customers. If those employees would've helped, the line would've went much smoother. The part I needed that day they were out of stock. I did have to order online so I did. I received the phone call that the part was ready for pickup on April 2, 2021 at 7pm. I went to pick it up on Saturday morning, April 3, 2021. Since I no longer own a house I don't come into Lowes as much as I used to, but every so often I find myself here. The thing I notice first about this location is that it's really bright and clean. Each location feels very warehouse-like, but this has a lot of lighting, which I like. It's organized like every other Lowes I've been to which is good because I like consistency. No one wants to walk around aimlessly looking for an aisle that may or may not be in the same location as the other store you frequent. The downside was that I was looking at light fixtures and while I was staring at them with the total intent to buy and an associate walked right through me basically. Not even a hello. Maybe he didn't work in that department? Maybe he did? I'll never know so that kind of put a damper on my customer service experience, but when I did checkout our cashier was so nice that it almost made up for my previous experience, or lack of. read more

Back in Mid-September we bought a new 42in. Craftsman T110 Riding Lawn Mower. Upon the arrival of delivery, we've had nothing but issues. It had a dead battery, took the battery back to the store, replaced it, still didn't work (also dead), bought a battery charger, charged said battery and it did charge battery but tractor did not start. We were originally told we had a 90-day return policy. We tried troubleshooting various forms of fixing it, it doesn't seem to be getting gas. We called the Washington location (where we got it from) on Friday and talked to Barry (who said there was a 30-day return policy, not 90). We were livid considering its brand new tractor and was originally told it was 90 days. We asked to speak with a manager. we were transferred to Travis, who was a manager on duty. Travis said we could return it and get our money back. First off, we had to get a u-haul and spend more money just to get it up there only to be told that all they could do is send it to the manufacturer which now could cost us another $300 to fix whatever the problem is with this thing!! We've never had straight information from the getgo otherwise we would of never bought it. The lack of customer service skills and knowledge of employee policy is absolutely ludicrous. read more

We purchased a refrigerator four years ago. We purchased the extended warranty for three years. We were told that if we did not use it we would get 30% of the cost back. We never heard anything so we contacted them. What they didn't tell u s was that we had to contact them within 30 days if we wanted any money back. We didn't even remember that it was expired. They said they don't notify you to renew on certain items which apparently my refrigerator was one of those items. Well now the I've machine is broke abs in order to get it fixed we have to take a day off of work because they only come to your house from 8-5. And the window is four hours. Who can afford to take off of work and spend money to get it fixed? So I asked what the service charge would be and she transferred me to a voice mail that I don't have a clue who it was. In September of 2021 we ordered a new refrigerator. We were told it would not be available until November. In October they called and told us it wouldn't be available till Feburary of 2022. We still accepted this delay because it was the refrigerator we wanted. Finally they called to schedual the delivery for Wednsday Feb 16th. The delivery person came in and looked at the doors and took a few measurments and told us it wont fit through the door. He was very rude to us and would not even listen to any of our suggestions and left. 5 minutes later I called him to explain that I looked at the specs and if they took the doors off it would fit. he didnt even have the decency to return the call. When the delivery company called I told them about this and they reschedualed the delivery. I believe it was for Feb 22 between 8am and noon. When it did not arrive I called around 2pm and was told it was not put on the truck and was not available! So today March 10th we still do not have our refrigerator and were still making payments. I want to cancel but when we went to lowes they said they can't cancel it that we have to call the delivery company and cancel with them. Calling the delivery company is a nightmare I have called twice and both times gave up after being on hold for 20 minutes. I don't know how this will ever be resolved but after spending many thousands of dollars with lowes I'm done. read more

Worst Customer Service in the Tri State! Went to exchange a CRAFTSMAN tool that was less than a year old and the skinny black haired lady refused to exchange it! Craftsman.com could not believe it. I brought it to another Lowe's and got it exchanged in 5 minutes. The lady at the Washington Lowe's was VERY RUDE and not sure she knew what she was doing. This location is very large and clean. Everything is well organized. They have tools, builder supplies, wood, appliances, kitchen and bathrooms, and a nursery with live plants. I wish they had more seasonal items but it's worth walking through. read more

Placed order online for instore pickup even called store gave them order number got there and they couldn't work the computer had to cancel the order so that I could be charged a second time to get my products made to walk them myself to a different register as the manager couldn't get the register he was on to work!
