When I brought it up to the landlord guy from this company and asked for a partial refund for the house not being clean he basically called me a liar and told me to get over "tinny bread crumbs" I had a good weekend anyways..... uhmmm what!? Sure the house was tidy and had a ton of potential but it was in no way CLEAN especially $288.15 (more than the daily rental rate) clean. The way I was ignored until I got VRBO involved is also a big issue in my book. Like I said.... I would never rent, buy, or anything from this company again.

The price may seem right, but you really will get what you pay for: 1) They will never respond to your emails, phone calls, or letters. 2) They won't fix anything in the house, and if something DOES go wrong and they're forced to have it fixed, it will take forever to get done and they will blame you for it. For example, I lived in one of their houses (which was a four bedroom with one bathroom, which is illegal in California), and I think it had the original pipes from when it was built in the 1940s. The bathtub developed a clog and they had to have a plumber come fix it. Afterward, they handed us one of those cheap metal things that blocks the hair from going down the drain. The thing is, we'd been USING a much better one already, so it wasn't our fault. The house just had shoddy pipes because they won't invest in upkeep. 3) If you move, you won't get your security deposit back unless you can wrangle it from the tenant who replaces you. I do not recommend this management group in the slightest. They're rude, unprofessional, and shady. They're much more like con artists than landlords.

Mike was patient, thoughtful and helpful all throughout this process and when we found the house for us, he was instrumental in our plan of making a successful offer and getting us through escrow. She managed to mix myself and another one of her tenants up when giving back house deposits which ended up in me being shorted $1,000. Her solution to this problem was not to correct the problem she caused, but told that other tenant and myself to "venmo each other to make it right ourselves." However, this was not a problem caused by us and should not had to have been solved by us.

My review is based off a single phone call on a Wednesday afternoon at 3:14 PM to Bayrock Property Management in Morro Bay, CA 93442. I will refer to them as (BPM) for the rest of this post. I had never contacted this company prior to this review. I would highly recommend looking elsewhere if your looking for a professional property management company to insure you don't lose that one call from the person that wants to lease or buy your property today!! I was extremely excited after seeing a For Lease banner in a commercial property window in downtown Morro Bay. I am a local resident, business owner and partner of a diverse company that invests into small communities. Being a resident of the Central Coast I was looking for a space to expand one of our businesses in the town of Morro Bay. After pulling my car over, I googled BPM online and found multiple contact numbers none matched the banner in the window and a website that had been disconnected. After spending several minutes online I couldn't find anything on BPM or the property. So with no other options I picked one of the numbers and called BPM to inquire about the property. Linda Paredes answered the phone with little enthusiasm, not good for prospective clients, sets a bad tone right from the get go and makes you feel like your inconveniencing them which I personally can't stand. I introduced myself and the company I was calling from like other professionals do. Prior to finishing my sentence she rudely interrupted me and said she wasn't interested, as if I was trying to sell her something and hung up on me. Unbelievable but true. I immediately called back and told her that her actions were unprofessional, rude and that my previous call was to inquire about a commercial listing of BPM not calling to solicit you. Once again she interrupted me and said that I was now being rude and she was in the middle of a crisis with another customer. I responded with thats no excuse to hang up on me and that I wasn't interested in the property and then hung up. I couldn't take one more second of this person interrupting me and acting like it was no big deal. Unfortunately it is a big deal. The deal Linda, BHP and the Owner of the property lost today. Not to mention any future deals with myself or anyone else I am associated with. It's unfortunate for the individuals and businesses that have trusted this company to represent and manage their property(s). My opinion is that your property is not in stable hands due to my experience today. If you can't handle a crisis and deal with a prospective client then what are your clients paying you for? My guess, that's why property owners hire Property Management Companies. To handle EVERYTHING! It's your job and thats why they pay you. When she notified us that she would no longer be our property manager, I started asking for the original financial records. She gave us everything EXCEPT a real paper trail and HOA financial records. As a matter of fact, she notified us that SHE must keep all the original records. Now, I understand that she has closed her property management company and is moving out of the area. Interesting.
