What was once Spokane's satellite community college with a campus is now a 5-Star University! The campus is constantly adding improvements and new buildings that make it a great hybrid of classic buildings vs. the school of tomorrow. EWU's best charm is that it remains a small community despite being a contender academically and athletically (Big Sky).

I was originally admitted to the University of Washington BASW program, but because the program is…read morehybrid and my employer could not accommodate the required in-person classes, I began looking for a fully online BASW. That led me to Eastern Washington University. While the Online BASW program itself is appealing, my admissions experience was unfortunately one of the most difficult I have encountered. After being admitted to EWU, I applied to the BASW program. From that point on, it often felt like the different departments were not communicating with one another. I was told multiple times that my official transcripts had not been received, even though another department had already confirmed they had been received. I found myself repeatedly providing screenshots of emails and confirming information that had already been given to me by EWU staff. The process felt disorganized, and I often had the impression that one department did not know what another department was doing. As a prospective transfer student trying to make an important educational decision, it was frustrating to spend so much time following up on information that should have already been available internally. There were positive experiences along the way. Al A. was knowledgeable, responsive, and genuinely helpful. Denise A. was also courteous and assisted me with the admissions process. I appreciate the time they took to answer my questions. Unfortunately, those positive interactions were overshadowed by the overall lack of coordination. I never felt confident that my application was moving forward, and because my transcript evaluation continued to be delayed, I ultimately had to withdraw my application to avoid losing my place at another university. I believe EWU has a strong Online BASW program with great potential, but the admissions process would benefit greatly from better communication between departments, more consistent information, and a stronger focus on supporting prospective students. I hope my feedback helps improve the experience for future applicants.

My son has been attending Giggling Guest too for over a year now and I have seen him blossom. He…read morehas reached many milestones and improved on his social skills. I love all the activities they do with him like coloring/artwork, playing outside, reading and music. They keep me updated through their app which helps me feel connected. Our daughter LOVES attending Giggling Guest and we couldn't be happier with the care they provide…read more Before we started at Giggling Guest we were on a wait list for a school we were told was the best around... After touring Giggling Guest I was so impressed there was no way we were sending her anywhere else. The facility is small (less cooties and more personal service). You can tell by the way my daughter talks about her teachers that she feels cared for. The entire staff knows her name, not just her teachers. She is happy when I drop her off and when I pick her up. Another bonus is the hi mama app the facility uses to communicate with parents. I know when she ate, slept, went potty, and I even get pictures of her.

The environment is warm, well-run, and supportive of children's growth and development. I trusted this center enough to recommend it to my daughter for my two grandchildren, which says everything. 2 months pregnant, I put my unborn child on the waiting list which was written in a college ruled…read morenotebook or equivalent for 5 months after she was born or about 13/14 months in advance. I was told there shouldn't be a problem getting her in as I wasn't too far down on the list for that month. When it came closer to needing daycare (August) and not hearing from them, I called to confirm arrangements. They said they didn't have availability and to check back next year! I told them I was on the waitlist list since last summer. Their excuse was other moms who have children there take precedence. What really likely happened is they lost the list in their relocation and never admitted to it. Fast forward, I follow up in the fall, the new year, and again I called back in the summer and I asked what place I was in line and the gave me a number that was way further down then what I started with. Never did hear from them. Disorganized, irresponsible and unprofessional.

How amazing to seize the early window of language learning and give your child the gift of bi-lingual (or tri-lingual) capabilities! When I submitted an inquiry request online I didn't hear back right away but then I eventually got really awesome communication. I think my message was missed, but once it was found SpoLang made sure that they let me know they got my info request. It says on their website that kids need to be toilet trained before attending class. They have classes up to age 18. I haven't had my kids in this program but I've been in the inquiry process and they seemed really available to answer questions. I might just recommend giving them a call instead of using the online request form if you want answers right away. I wish I would have done something like this as a child so I could speak more confidently, so you will probably see me here soon!

We enrolled our daughter into Frau Barnes class hoping she would learn German since we have family…read moreliving in Germany and visit them often. She enjoyed it until she was utterly humiliated by Frau Barnes infront of other children when she had an accident. Our daughter was potty trained but just got carried away/didn't feel comfortable going at the time she was asked and had an unfortunate accident. She was hysterically crying when she was picked up and wouldn't settle for some time. She informed us that Frau Barnes spoke unkindly with her right in front of the other children and actually told her "you don't pee on my carpet!". Now my daughter has never heard that phrase from anyone in the family therefore I know for a fact that the satatement was not made up by our daughter (besides, English is her second language). Frau Barnes humiliated her to a point where she started hating that class and would not agree to return. Although, Frau Barnes states shes happy to accept kids 2 years and older I unfortunately don't agree (our daughter was 3 at the time).
