Last summer I visited my best friend up in Fairbanks and we wanted to get matching tattoos (of course!) and this was the place we decided on. Prior to coming here my friend had done a lot of research and this place was the best. I'm from San Diego where there's a tattoo shop on pretty much every corner; so I've been to my fair share of them. This tattoo shop was AWESOME. My best friend and I went with our husbands and we just had a small design that we wanted and our artist, Scotty, was really helpful and knowledgeable. He didn't make us feel weird for wanting to get matching girly tattoos (which I have seen happen at other shops). I got my tattoo on my foot, which I was nervous about, but Scotty made it go by quick and it surprisingly wasn't as painful as I thought it would be. I've had the pleasure of knowing Scott personally for for over 20 years. He is unlike any other artist you will meet. As soon as you walk in to his studio you will notice the extreme high level of cleanliness & friendliness. His knowledge of the profession and attention to detail is extremely extensive. He is a very well rounded artist and can easily knock any tattoo you want, out of the park. It is comforting to know someone with nearly a quarter century of experience, yet still is very open minded when it comes to figuring out how you want your custom drawn tattoo to come to life. I went in to Sublime Line almost three years ago to see Grey. But the desk jockey told me I needed Scotty. He was right. I NEEDED Scotty. I first met Scott in Eugene. I had asked around town to get the best tattoo. Every one said go see Scott. I did and I've never looked back. Scott did my right shoulder that day. . Then he did the most important tattoo on my body. My dog bear. He captured bears likeness perfectly. Then came the left arm. And then 70 hrs or so later we finished my full back piece. He's been honest with me & with others on what he specializes in and what he can do, and refers people to other great artists with what he can't do.
