I've had my taxes done here in previous years and try to support local businesses wherever I can. I went for my appt at 9 am. The intern doing my taxes seemed very nervous and in a hurry. I tried a couple of questions and got blank looks. The intern's supervisor asked when the intern's class started and she said, with a panicked look, "in 10 minutes". She was on Federal Street. I paid $200 for 10 minutes of stapling and collating information that is on any computer. Go elsewhere is my advise. read more

The price was too high for a simple return. The young lady doing the return was an intern and needed to make a class in 10 minutes so was in a hurry. Ive always chosen them to support local businesses but I didnt appreciate the $195 fee. Ill definitely find another option next year. read more

Todd is a rageaholic. This man not only doesn't want your business but he wants you to suffer. He had a tantrum when we dropped off the taxes, and a tantrum when we came to pay. We made an appointment after he accused us of not having a way to be contacted (an email from this office saying I don't know how to contact you? wtf?) Our information and deductions were literally printed out for him. I was pretty surprised at his prices and asked him for a breakdown. Instead he declared he thought we would never return (here we are at the appointed time) and bullied us. We were happy to pay but did want a receipt for the billing. This man was so full of Masshole rage that he ended up bullying himself out of his money and just handed us our documents and told us we were terrible to work with. Total time with this individual = less than 10 mins. But two tantrums. It's really not about the money. Happy to pay more for actual service where my worth as a human isn't questioned. Cue his response in 3-2-1 I am sure snivelling about how put out he is and how dare these people ask questions. Since he likes to take his nasty attitude to all the reviews he gets. Arrived 15 minutes early. Noone there but staff. Gave them my info. Explained today AND WHEN I MADE THE appointment that my issues were convoluted due to my father's passing. Nothing complicated to them was their response. Another patron came in and the gentleman asked me to wait. I did, then 45 minutes later he goes and take the other person who came in and said mine is more complicated.... He said I can just go somewhere else if it was an issue. He started insulting me saying I didn't even know what I needed. Well duh, that's why I was having them do the t. If it was straight forward I would have just used TurboTax. I joined my aging sister in law to Liberty Tax Service to get her taxes done last spring and was impressed by the staff. I was also impressed when it came time to pay the bill! It was less than what I had paid Turbo Tax for my own taxes! and the complex issues were very similar for both my taxes and hers. Wow! And then I got a demand for payment from the State of Massachusetts. They assessed a penalty for not filing estimated taxes! WHAT? My wife and I are both retired. She draws a pension and I draw Social Security. Estimated tax filing? I don't think so. I took my Turbo Tax return as well as the demand letter to Todd Cromack at Liberty. He informed me that my wire's pension was not subject to state income tax and he refiled our taxes for the last three years. Bottom line is we are getting a return of roughly $3000. I have already made my appointment with Todd for 2025. if you are doing Turbo Tax, you're not saving any money. read more
