Never showed up to tow my car. Lied to Progressive about being on site. It's been 5 hours. Don't use this company

One of their drivers was tailing me and my 3 year old so closely that he almost ran us off the road. When I was finally able to pull over into the next lane to him he rolled down his window to curse me out and as he was driving off held his middle finger out the window (not pictured). My Prius broke down and stopped working. I requested for a tow from Liberty Towing via Chase. The ETA was 1 to 2 hours which I was willing to wait for. By this time, I already cancelled two meetings. I was also calling their business number every 30 minutes but NO ONE ANSWERED. I was now waiting for 3 hours at this point when I noticed that there was a tow truck across the street from the specific address I gave them and saw it had the Liberty Towing logo. I called them again to tell the tow truck that he was in the wrong location. Still no answer. The truck decides to leave and I wave at the truck pointing to where my car is and we make eye contact and I could see in his face that he knew he messed up. Still he didn't come back. A few minutes later they cancelled my towing request. I wasted more than 3 hours just waiting because they could not give me a definite ETA. WORST BUSINESS I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED. SAVE YOURSELF AND NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH LIBERTY TOWING. read more

My car broke down and wouldn't start at the Harris Teeter in Fort Mill yesterday. I left it in the parking lot and called Liberty Towing this morning. I was informed that the tow truck (Larry) was at another site but would be available in about 25 minutes and would call me before heading my way. True to his word, Larry called and arrived promptly. He checked to see if it was the battery or if he could start it, but when he couldn't, he towed it to a repair shop for me. I met him there, and he was very polite and courteous. Their prices were the best! I would definitely recommend this company to anyone needing a fast and affordable tow truck. Thank you again, Larry, for your prompt service. read more

I can't say enough good things about Tyler and Liberty Towing. He saved us after 24 hours of trying to get AAA to send a tow truck. He knew exactly what to do to get the car into neutral so that he could winch it up from across a driveway. Great guy! Great job! Thank you! read more

If a negative review was an option-they would get it. I have had nothing but a horrible experience with this company. They not only never showed after confirming with my insurance they could complete the tow, they also never communicated to cancel. 3 hours later in the freezing cold with a broke down car and two children waiting with me for what l expected to be a 1 hr wait turned into 4+ hours. Thanks for nothing Liberty tow you are the absolute worst company ever. I got 3 hrs of sleep and am working a full time day job. Why have you got no consideration for people who are relying on your word? Could not even answer my calls. Wow. So disappointed. Sadly this is what you can expect. read more

I had a car accident. Long story short. USAA used Liberty Towing to pick up my car. I waited an hour before I found out they canceled the tow. They canceled without realizing my car was involved in an accident. They were going to reschedule for the next day. Once they realize my car was in an accident, USAA office was closed. How could they not know where my car was located when the information was on my claim??? I had to find someone else to tow my car. Call them for services at your own risk. Hopefully it's not in the middle of night if you need assistance! How are open 24 hrs Monday through Sunday and can't pick up my car???? One star is too good for them. read more

Tow service eta was 90-120 minutes but arrives under 15 minutes. Actually started my car and sent me to AutoZone. No tow needed? Very courteous, helpful and professional. 10 stars!!! read more

This company picked the bid when I called for roadside service, gave a 2.5 - 3 hour wait, didn't show, and then cancelled once I called my ins. Company. I'm not even going to start on State Farm sorry ass service. BOTH SUCK! Wish I could give a negative 5 star! read more

The most unprofessional business I've ever encountered. It took them 2 days to complete a tow (one location to the next was 5 minutes) but they kept giving an ETA that they never followed through on. The only updates I received were when I called and asked, and again... never an honest answer. Ended day one with the tow not being completed at all. Next day, try again... same issues. Then, when they completed the tow, instead of placing the vehicle in the driveway as they were asked to do (once, in the initial online request form, second when I verbally called and spoke to them and reminded them of the importance of placing the vehicle in the driveway) - they instead dropped the vehicle directly in front of my mailbox. When I called, I kept being placed on hold and told they'd call me back. No one did. After at least 10 calls, I was told the fleet manager would call me back. When he did, he expressed zero concern about the fact that my request was disregarded and simply told me to call USAA and ask them to have someone else come out and fix it. Essentially, they got paid - so they don't care. I will definitely be calling USAA and filing a complaint and suggesting they no longer do business with this company and if possible, disputing their payment because services was not fulfilled. The fleet manager, like a coward, hung up on me and when I attempted to call back, he blocked my number. Again, the most unprofessional encounter I've had. I can speculate all day as to why they handled this the way they did, but I won't bother. I'll just say that if you want an accountable towing company who will communicate effectively, keep their word, treat you with respect, and properly handle your vehicle - this is not the one. I wouldn't even give them one star, if I had the choice. read more
