Geico Roadside Assistance wouldn't provide another tow service since it's the same break down, so I researched towing and found Liberty Towing. I have State Farm Insurance and needed roadside assistance to change out a flat tire. My vehicle was a large van on a Mercedes Sprinter chassis, but because I called it a motorhome, the lady was rude over the phone and would not understand that it was not a large motorhome. Then they didn't show up but failed to notify me they were not coming. I have told State Farm that they were totally unsatisfactory and shouldn't even be on their list to call. The second company, L&H roadside out of Tumwater, was the opposite ... fantastic and extremely well equipped. Treated HORRIBLY and lied to about several things. I wouldnt trust what I'm told over the phone. You can be told something different in person and have to pay whatever total cost they demand or you won't get your car out of impound. We initially thought our vehicle was stolen and turns out it felt like that, only by the tow company that held it until we paid $770 for ONE NIGHT. That seems tantamount to holding it for randsom. LIBERTY TOWING - Orchard Street, Tacoma, WA 10/2/2021- Sat, Chrysler, 4:09 pm Today, I requested a tow through my insurance company. The tow was set up and the request dispatched. I was messaged via text at 1:19 and told 90-105mins. That was expected. Once that time frame expired and no tow truck arrived, I called my insurance company back who in turn contacted Liberty Towing and was told another 30 minutes. Once that time frame expired, I called my insurance company back who, again, placed a call to Liberty Towing and was told another 15 mins. The truck arrived 10-15 mins *after* the *last* delayed time frame. In between the expired time frames and my calling my insurance company to report no truck had arrived, I did not receive not even one text message or phone call from Liberty Towing updating me on their location. When Liberty Towing arrived, the driver was inconsiderate and rude in his demeanor. No introduction. No apology. No explanation. No conversation. Nothing. Yes, I opened a line of communication by saying Hi. He looked directly at me but chose not to speak. After dropping my daughter's car to our home, I said "Thank you, we appreciate it" but the driver said nothing in return. He then very barely missed hitting my car as my daughter was backing up, heading to work. She was in reverse *before* he began pulling off. Lastly, the driver and my daughter drove in the same direction for 10 mins and she later texted me after arriving safely to work, that he was speeding during that time. Liberty came to our rescue after AAA refused service. Our vehicle had been stolen. The police had located it and called us. It was parked in a scary part of town. AAA refused to tow because the vehicle was registered to my niece and unavailable. The police had confirmed that it belonged to us and had released it to us. AAA was more concerned with their liability than our safety. Tommy at Liberty was concerned with our safety and came within 15 minutes of being called. He was very kind, first unlocking to vehicle in hopes that the keys may have been inside. Unfortunately, we had no spare and keys weren't inside, so he towed it to our residence which is the same address on the registration. Horrible customer service. They towed my deceased father's car just a few days after he passed. Wouldn't give the car back because my name wasn't on the registration. Wouldn't accept a death certificate or any documentation at all. I had to get the local police involved. They only returned the car after the police chief demanded they do so. It was ironic because they claimed they couldn't return the vehicle without the police "shutting their business down." He did not wear a mask, even when we were in the car with him, and he made several comments that made it very clear that he felt COVID is a joke. Library Towing totally saved me when I was stranded with a blown out tire on the sketchy gore point of 705. Not only was the driver there in less than 20 minutes of my call he was also super polite and quick at his job. He has to tow me to my shop in auburn and he was kind enough to wait around and make sure I got into the office and secured a new car to drive (I was in a company rig) before he left just to be sure I was safe. In all my 10 years of driving, I have never locked my keys into my car. Until now. I called USAA and they told me the person would be there in an hour. It only took 45 minutes which is hell of a lot better than an hour (especially since I was on JBLM). I believe the guys name was Jeremy. Superb service! I had to have my 1986 Ferrari 328 towed in for service today - and it always makes me a tad nervous having a tow truck involved with my car. But Liberty knows what they're doing - Ron Ackerman was my driver and he treated my car as if it were his own. I was billed from the time the driver was dispatched. He first had to wait in line to get gas, to fill up his truck. Then his chains were all tangled and we had to spend approximately 20 minutes untangling them. Then he drove 50mph on the freeway, and it took us 30 minutes longer to get to our destination then it should have. Needless to say this is shady business. I should not have to pay for their drivers to fill up, or to organize their equipment. The two star review is because the driver was nice and very professional. The lack of the rest of the stars is because this is a shadily ran business that I assume asks their drivers to take their time so they can make that money! Use someone else. read more

My 5th wheel was setup for transport to Tacoma RV and had to be there by 8:0am, I scheduled with Liberty several days ahead of time telling them what, where and time requirement. I was told no problem they would be at my place in Olalla between 5:00-6:00 am, he showed up at 7:30 and tried to connect his 5th wheel to my trailer, after a couple of attempts he realized he had not opened his 5th wheel. Finally we're connected, now it's time to connect power so we have trailer lights and trailer brakes. Low and behold the connection to his truck is is too far for the power cable and is not a standard 7 pin trailer connect but a 6 pin and he has no adapter or cable extension, so he calls his buddies for help & no help. End result is I cancelled since they were not prepared and it was 8am. After he moved his truck off my trailer pad I found a large oil sledge and also several spots on my gravel drive. Final solution was to call Hillbilly, Erik was there in 30 minutes and was hooked up and check the trailer in 25 minutes we were on the road again. Thank you Hillbilly!!! read more
