Warning: Before they even began the first job to simply cut my front and rear lawns I stated that there were areas with certain flowers that I DID NOT want touched. To be even more specific I said that you can't NOT see them because they stand 3 - 5 ft tall with purple flowers. I dunno who does their work but they completely disregarded my request and destroyed ALL of them. Good thing they don't run the country. Idiots. read more

We were clients for 14 years, and we were loyal. 3 years ago, they destroyed my raspberries, we stayed with them, 2 years ago they destroyed one of my garden tents with the weed wacker, instead of replacing, they sewed it and we were ok with it, last year, they got all new guys and they destroyed 6 garden tents with the weed wacker and needed to reimburse us for $650 to replace them (not able to sew them) and we still stayed with them. This season, they came and did our neighbors lawn and we figured that they didn't have enough time, so my Husband called to leave a message to find out when we were scheduled. We received no call, but an email stating that we had been terminated. They did something wrong and we were terminated after 14 years. Fine, even though we did nothing wrong, it is their perogative, but be professional enough and not cowardly and call the customer you have had for 14 years to tell them what the reason for termination is and don't wait until the cutting season starts and make us reach out before you terminate. It's bad form for a company to be vindictive in that way. We have called to talk to them several times, with no reply. If they will do this to a customer of 14 years, they will definitely do it to a new person. read more

I worked with a rep from this company to scope out my home project. I carefully instructed the person on what services where required on wich areas of my landscaping. I went on vacation and the work was done. Prior to leaving I told him to take pictures of all the work so that I would have a something to review upon completion. He never took or shared the photos. When I came home he did not even half of the work which he said took 1.5 hours at a rate of 900$ contracted. the work was shoddy and incomplete. when I complained they never came back to address this. read more

What a terrific company. Mike Duffy, the owner, is super responsive and knowledgable. His crew were great, too. They worked quickly but carefully and the tree we were having trimmed looks terrific. We have used Liberty twice now to trim a couple of large trees / they have simply been a pleasure to work with. Mike the owner is amazing - super responsive and extremely professional. This time - we had the crew of Miguel, Sean and Doug. They did a fantastic job at the trimming and just as importantly of cleaning out the place. Some of the branches and leaves dropped into a neighbours place and they cleaned that out too. We were kidding about how they left the place cleaner than it was before. The entire Liberty team was fantastic to work with. Bill was easy to communicate with as far as setting up my appointment. He returned calls promptly. Miguel, Sean and Doug went above and beyond trimming my overgrown pine tree. In three hours they cut back a tree that probably had never been trimmed, as well as cleared out all of the dead branches on a overhanging maple. Cannot ask for more than that!!! After our great experience which was recounted in an earlier review, we contracted with Liberty Tee & Landscape to trim back another tree and to rebuild a tree pit on the city street that we border. As expected they did a wonderful job on both tasks -- for a reasonable price. They are not the cheapest nor the more expensive (which is what we look for), and they are very knowledgeable and frankly the best I've seen. Miguel (the foreman), Doug, and Sean rebuilt the tree pit, taking apart the old wooden framing, cleaning the surface, and building a perimeter of Belgian bricks. A vast improvement and we are delighted with the work. Miguel also pruned a tree that had gotten out of control and was starting to cover windows and press into the house. Miguel did an excellent job not only of cutting back the tree but taking care to preserve the health of the tree. Again, we are delighted with their professionalism, skill, and knowledge. read more

Smarmy sales. Over priced tree removal. Talked up a whole package, gave me a range price. Seemed reasonable. Came to remove a tree in two days, THEN sent the invoice with the highest price that wasn't the whole package we talked about. Slimy. Stump grinder subcontractor left mud all over the driveway. Didn't clean it up. Lawn cutters are rude. Literally laughed at me for trying to start my new leaf blower for the first time. Didn't offer to help. Sat there and laughed as I fumbled to start it. Because I'm a woman. FYI, I blew the leaves and moved all debris to the street before they even finished the neighbors yard. Same size. Never again Liberty. read more

Had liberty out to do a consult on placement of a curbside tree outside my row home. Arborist helped pick a tree that met our needs and had it planted within two weeks. Crew that came out to plant were friendly, professional and cleaned up after themselves. I'm please with the final product and look forward to enjoying my tree for many years to come. read more

One star is what you have to give in order to leave a review on yelp so be it but it's one to many. July 24, 20017 liberty tree + landscape management came out to do my neighbors lawn and up until the 24th the only bad thing I could have said about them is that they always block my driveway when they are here and they blow the grass clippings on my car or property it was something that I learned to live with. FF to the 24th My wife and I were getting ready to go out and I look out the window and see my driveway is blocked (see pictures and look at the other side of the street plenty of space to park their equipment) so I go out to ask them to move the truck and find they have rode their lawnmowers up my driveway and straddle them on my sidewalk and the street and in the process of doing so they cracked the edge of some concrete I had replaced when I had my plumbing fixed last year and I paid $300 for the concrete work( see pictures). Now I brought this up to one of the workers and he said that he didn't do it and laughed at me. Now I have lived here 18 years and I mow and trim my own lawn and know every inch of my property and the last time I it was done 4 days ago my sidewalk was not broken. Now I tried to call the company about 4 or 5 times and didn't get a answer all I got was a recording with an emergency number so I called it and left a message and waited for a reply. Two hours went by and the workers left and no reply so I called the police to report the problem and filed a incident report I figured I would start some paperwork to protect my rights. The police arrived and started their paperwork and that's when someone finally called me back from liberty so I explained to him what happenednd the guy said that's what insurance is for but when I told him I was filing a incident report to protect me he got nasty and told me to talk to his lawyer and hung up. FF to the 26th representative from liberty came out to my house my wife called me and said that someone was taking a picture of the concrete and coming to the door so I grab my phone and head out to talk to them. The guy said that he was from liberty landscape and asked me what happened I explained to him what happened showed him the pictures and he said it could have happened then said that the crack looked old. Now he arrived two days after the incident and we had a huge rain storm with rivers of water so the crack had raised up some from the storm and he asked me what he wanted him to do and I said accept responsibility and fix what your crew damaged and his response was to jump in his car and drive off. Now through searching for a number that someone would answer I found some less than stellar reviews from others who are customers and people who are not. So IMHO I would do my homework before you choose your lawn care company unless you don't like your neighbors you can hire liberty and and I'm sure they will piss them off eventually. Look I'm not even a customer and look how they disregarded my property and the only recourse is to file a claim in small claims court and loose my valuable time to fix the problem they caused. less than reputable! read more

Awful. Not only do they do a piss poor job of cutting my grass, but they also leave a mess all over my neighbors property EVERY time they come. My lawn never looks freshly cut, it's always uneven with visible spots that are higher than others. The only thing these guys care about is getting the lawn cut as quickly as possible, they take no pride whatsoever in what they do. Their prices are fine, but they suck at what they do. I'll be hiring another company for next year. read more

Mike came out exactly on time, gave a clear explanation and a written estimate of what we needed to help our old Wild Cherry tree here, which was in rough condition. This was last fall. His crew showed up a few days later, did a great job; they were thorough, polite and left everything shipshape on our narrow, SW Center City street. The real test was spring--our tree showed sprouts clear up to the topmost branches, and she looks really good after pruning and fertilizing did its magic. I would recommend Liberty Tree to anyone. Our property needed a lot of help and we definitely picked the right company to provide that help! Chris did an initial walk-through with us to help identify the areas we should address now and the areas we should address later. His ideas and pricing hit the mark. A few weeks after the walk-through, a crew came to work on cutting down a tree, trimming branches, and some other work. A week or so later, a crew came to work on weeding, removing leaves, edging, mulching, trimming, and more. Both crews were punctual, tidy, and very professional. And the final look was fantastic.
