    The gorgeous downtown sunset.

When going from Long Island to Brooklyn on a Friday during rush hour, the destination better be worth it. Lucky for us the Liberty Warehouse wedding we attended surpassed all of our expectations and even made the 3 hour traffic-ridden drive seem bearable. Cocktail hour was out on the patio overlooking the downtown NYC skyline and the Green Lady herself. We were greeted with cocktails and delicious small plates before heading in for dinner. The courses during dinner were exquisite, each better than the last. The scallop dish and short ribs were incredible. We danced, chatted and let the cool Brooklyn vibe carry us into the wee hours of the night until we had to make the trek back east. This time though, we rode the high of the reception all the way home.

Had a winter wedding here and it was our dream come true. Flowers by Mimosa florists. Lighting by New York Party productions.

Where to begin? I never thought of myself as a big wedding guy, but I can't help but think just how perfect and effortless our wedding at Liberty Warehouse was. Top 3 reasons: 1. Food 2. Staff 3. Space I can't say enough about the food. I had a number of guests in the food industry and I really wanted to impress them. Every one of them could not say enough about the food. Some went as far as to say it was the best food they ever had at a wedding. I would have to agree. The nicest touch was for the main course. We had an amazing smoked salmon as well as a perfectly cooked steak. The catch was you didn't have to choose. You had two entrees! The appetizers were simply out of this world. Another aspect that my guests loved were the open bar and cocktails served prior to the ceremony. Let's just say the guests were feeling real good by the time the ceremony started. Staff: Jeff and his staff run a tight ship but are flexible to your every demand. One of my groomsmen own a restaurant specializing in finger foods. He brought 300 of them and they served it up as appetizers free of charge. Fried them according to his instructions. The bartenders were quick and kept the drinks moving. I was able to get a keg of my favorite six point brew served. The drinks were top shelf including goose, macallan 12, etc... They didn't deny anybody from taking shots. In fact they encouraged it! Take that, wedding nazis! They made us feel truly like royalty. Space. Look at the pictures. The place is perfect. Tall ceilings. Space for up to 400 guests. Outdoor and upstairs space for your ceremony. Beautiful exposed red brick and open fireplaces. Views of the statue of Liberty. Unbelievable. Technical details: We had a Saturday wedding (mark up from Friday or Sunday) We had a winter wedding on February 14th (Every Saturday from March to September was already booked 8 months out) over Presidents Day Weekend so the rate was roughly $250 a guest (after service fee and gratuities). The warm season is likely going to cost more There was a guest minimum of 175 You find your own DJ (recommend Mike Cardamone), lighting person (this is a must), florist (also provides lighting, we recommend Mimosa) and photobooth staff. They can provide the cake or you can bring your own. They didn't have an ice cream wedding cake option, but let us bring our own Coldstone Ice cream cake! Jeff was more than gracious. In fact they welcomed it. Even able to drop it off a few days early and store it in their freezer. They print menus and basic table numbers. You need to provide name cards.

Words alone cannot describe how perfect this place is for a wedding. Now, we were "just" the guests, but judging by the GLOWING reviews here from brides and grooms, this place does seem to go out of its way to make your and your guests' day a once-in-a-lifetime memorable experience!! BEAUTIFUL setting, comfortable, accommodating location, and service was truly second to none. My cousin's son and his bride couldn't have picked a better spot in the NYC area to celebrate their special day!! Pre-and post ceremony cocktail hours were wonderful, the indoor ceremony (crazy May weather, better idea...) the food, the attentive/non-intrusive service were all PERFECT!! The servers and staff here are some of the best I have seen at any event. Valet parking was a breeze. Top notch!! Nothing was left to chance, up to and including the restrooms full of all the "incidentals" you might have forgotten to bring. MANY MANY months of planning and attention to every last detail led to an event that flowed as smooth as silk. Not cheap (what is in NY?!?) but if you've got the money, this place is, I'll have to say, worth every penny. If you're invited to an event here, be sure to take TONS of pictures of the GORGEOUS views of NY Harbor, and be prepared to dance (and eat and drink and be merry!!) the night away!!

We attended a wedding here. The venue is beautiful. Right on the water. The view is amazing. The food and service was top notch and the place is gorgeous.

INCREDIBLE That's one word to describe our wedding at The Liberty Warehouse. We really wanted an all inclusive venue so we wouldn't have to worry about hiring a caterer, tables, cutlery etc. Also Valet and coat check are all included! This venue provided AMAZING FOOD, top shelf alcohol, tables, cutlery, and an amazing staff. We choose to get married on a Friday in March, which is an out of season month. We also decided to have chicken and fish instead of beef or lamb to cut cost. They worked with us to make this venue a bit less expensive than it would have been had we gotten married in the summer or fall. We loved this venue so much so a Friday in March with Chicken and fish was great for us! I will explain why below :-) OUR EVENT COORDINATOR- We booked this venue a little over a year in advance. Pam Rosenbaum was our event coordinator and she was incredible patient, always available, supportive, professional, and basically made sure our day was executed perfectly. If you decide to do a visit you should absolutely ASK TO WORK WITH PAM. She is a PRO, and Sooooo nice and always so available and on top of everything from the minute you sign to your wedding day. I honesty have love for this women. You become pretty vulnerable during this process and she basically held our hands and got us through. THE FOOD- I am a huge FOODIE and the Liberty Warehouse offers the option to have a FOUR Course Tasting menu.( At no extra charge!) But before that...Cocktail hour! Our guests are still raving about the cocktail hour food. We had about 10 different passed Hors D' Oeuvres PLUS carving stations! We were able to save a little by doing seafood and chicken for the dinner menu. So our carving stations included grilled skirt steak, Sliders, etc. Everyone RAVED about this food! THE SPACE-If you haven't seen the space, you should take a look at the website and social media pages. It's a very rustic elegant space. We hired Pegasus Productions for our fairy lights down the center of the main space. We also hired them to supply audio for the ceremony and the Reception. Liberty Warehouse works with Pegasus often so we felt more comfortable working with them. Those fairy lights turned the space into a fairy tale wedding reception. They REALLY make the space so so so so so beautiful!! We were debating on weather or not to do those lights or the string lights...then one day I took my mom to see the venue and the fairy lights were set up for another wedding and we were SOLD. VALET- Valet and coat check are all included!! OUTSIDE- We got married in March so it was still a bit chilly outside, however we were able to take photos outside and the views of the river and the statue of liberty were beautiful! The SERVICE- at Liberty Warehouse was impeccable! Wine was flowing around all of the tables all night. The wait staff was on top of everything ALL night. No one ever waited for anything. There were clearly assigned wait staff for each table and they were awesome!

Let's face it - 2016 was a pretty shitty year. But sometimes, you just have to look back at happier times in order to look forward to the future. That brings me to the Liberty Warehouse. Flashback: The year was 2012, when I was Yelp baby, but had the privilege of attending Summerfest (which to this date, is still the single best Yelp event I've ever been to). The venue was amazing - watching the sun set over the Statue of Liberty is one of those things you never stop appreciating. Flash forward: 2016 is coming to an end, and one glimmer of hope was the announcement that my new company was hosting our holiday party at the Liberty Warehouse. Swanky. The place was as wonderful as I remembered. Two floors with multiple bars set up. Ample room for 500+ some odd people to mingle, dance, and eat so many lamb chops. Sure, it was one of the coldest days of the year, so hanging around by the water was only for the nicotine-addicted, but from inside the big glass windows, you could see the Statue of Liberty and World Trade Center just fine. Special kudos to the catering. We had multiple food stations set up with all sorts of cuisine. There was a taco/margarita station, pasta and meatballs, burger/chicken sliders, meat and cheese, and the waitstaff was walking around with all sorts of hors d'oeuvres, the best of which was a caviar topped cracker with creme fraiche. Not ashamed to say I had three of those. And yes, I know the venue is a bit pricey (I've known multiple people go into shock when looking to book this place for weddings). And sure, it's a little out of the way (but that's what Uber is for, right?). But you really can't beat the experience you get here. And you can't really put a price on that. Well, you can. But I suggest not looking at the price tag. So anyway, let's raise a glass to many more happy memories. And to Review #2200.

We had a fabulous experience working with Liberty Warehouse for our wedding this past May! Pam was our coordinator and she made the planning process an absolute breeze. She met with us regularly to help with our planning and was very responsive to questions as they came up. She also helped us think through the evening and came up with great suggestions that made the night unique and fun. On the day of the wedding everything was taken care of and went off without a hitch. From the moment we arrived, we (along with all of our guests!) were treated like kings and queens. There honestly isn't a thing we would have changed. In addition, the food was absolutely divine. Every guest we've talked to after the wedding had rave reviews. We absolutely recommend this venue and it's supportive staff for being a wonderful place to celebrate such a happy occasion. Thank you Pam, Jeff and the full Liberty Warehouse team for a wedding day that was truly unforgettable for us, for our families and for all of our guests!

I attended an amazing wedding here this past weekend. I have nothing but positive things to say about this place. The views are spectacular. The ceremony was outdoors along the water and against a beautiful sunset. As the name suggests, you face the Statue of Liberty. As the party moved indoors, I was struck by the decor. Interior brick, dark wood, tea lights- absolutely beautiful! All of the food was amazing. There was a cheese and charcuterie station, pass arounds, and even a steak carving station. A full sit-down dinner included a frisee and poached pear salad, a seafood dish, and then a delicious lamb entree. After the wedding cake they also brought around milk and cookies. Brides looking for an elegant yet rustic venue with exceptional views of the NYC skyline- look no further. I hope I get invited to more amazing events here!

We just had our wedding ceremony and reception at the The Liberty Warehouse on November 6, 2015. My husband and I can't say enough great things about this venue! From the moment we pulled up to the warehouse while we were comparing venues, we knew this was the only place we could imagine getting married. The entire wedding planning process, from start to finish, was a dream because of the incomparable professionalism and sheer warmth of the Liberty Warehouse staff. We've been so impressed by everything from the staff that felt like family, to incredible food (our guests commented it was by far the most delicious food of any wedding they've attended!), to a historical space that is stunningly well-kept and unique. We worked very closely with Jeffery Torem, director, and Andrea, sales manager, for months on end planning the wedding. They managed to respond to all of the emails and requests to visit the space. Every time I came to the Liberty Warehouse, Andrea and Jeff were there. They help bring your thoughts and vision to a reality. All of the suggestions and offerings were spot on. We were fortunate to have 70-degree weather on the night of our wedding. The team made a game day decision to have the ceremony and cocktail hour outside. The guests were so impressed with the views of Statue of Liberty and the Manhattan skyline while having a glass of champagne before the ceremony started. Right before I walked down the aisle, Jeff was right by my side making sure I had everything I needed, and sweetly gave me a hug and a thumbs up! And this is really why I loved the Liberty Warehouse. Having your wedding there feels like an intimate family affair. Let's talk about the food; I don't even know where to start. Everyone was so impressed! Our guests could not say enough about the food. All we have heard is " this is the best food, we have ever had at a wedding. If we cold go there on a normal night out, we would!" These are the comments that validate how amazing the Liberty Warehouse is. We had a spread of 3 different stations plus passed hors d'oeuvres for cocktail hour and the chef's tasting menu for dinner. I would recommend this to any bride who can't decide. Some of the highlights were the Asian, Meats & Cheese and Mediterranean stations. We tried to cater to the likings of all of our guests. Jeff was spot on with all of his recommendations. All of the guests left full and extremely happy. I can't leave out the personalized service at each table. Everyone we spoke to, felt as though they each had their own server. By the end of our in-person meeting to finalize the food and details, Mike and I just left all the decisions in his hands. We knew the wedding was going to be perfectly executed. My personal recommendation to anyone looking for a wedding venue, PLEASE don't go with the traditional cookie cutter venue if you want your day to truly be something special! You will not be disappointed having your wedding or event at The Liberty Warehouse! Love, Lauren & Michael D'Alora

Our dream wedding made reality! A million thank you-s to Liberty Warehouse! Truly the most spectacular event space!

A billion stars for LW! I got married at Liberty Warehouse last week, I'm at a loss for words to describe how magnificent the entire planning process and wedding was. I think our guests put it simply the best, as they where leaving ... And they did NOT want to leave, they where all saying "your wedding was the best night of our lives" If that doesn't say it all I don't know what does! We are getting thank you cards and emails from our guests, thanking US for the wedding. Jeff and his team are undeniably the best, not only in NYV but the entire business! Do yourself a favor, stop looking for venues. This is the one! Did I mention the view, the food, and the service? Liberty Warehouse made our dream wedding a flawless reality!

Came here for a Yelp event and loved it! The view was amazing! It overlooks the harbor and you have an unobstructed view of the Statue of Liberty. This event was in the evening so its really a site to see when the sun sets. Just beautiful! Great for photo ops. I'm shopping around for places to potentially get married in the city, and this venue has definitely made my list!

My wife and I recently hosted our wedding at The Liberty Warehouse in February. We continue to be in awe of how perfect our wedding day was. The moment we stepped foot into the venue, we knew this was where we wanted to get married. Pam took the lead as our host and guided us every step of the way. She played a crucial role in the organization of the event and executed flawlessly. They make you feel like you are the only wedding on their calendar, even when they have an event the next morning. This unique space is so wonderful and personal, and we feel so fortunate that we were able to celebrate there. Endless thanks to Pam, Jeff, Milton and the entire The Liberty Warehouse staff, we had the most incredible night of our lives. We hope to be back soon to enjoy some more amazing food. Thank you, again!

They gave me my paid-for throne chair at the end of our baby shower after having to ask them for it. I paid the $400 for the 360 photo booth, but they never provided the service because their photo booth operator got drunk and broke the equipment. (as I was told via phone call from JOSE RIVERA, AN ABSOLUTE LIAR WHO SAID HE WOULD REFUND MY MONEY) I was still charged for the service after Jose called to let me know he would not be charging. Both Jose & his gf came into my party, ate our food & drank our liquor (for our guests), all while looking high on drugs. I was mortified having my party at Sunset Social House!!! After I realized Jose was ignoring my messages about my $700 refund, I disputed the charge with my credit card. This is when Jose would reach out to try to "fix" things after initially ignoring me. When we spoke, we decided to let the dispute go through; however, Jose would then tell the credit company that he had already paid me, so my dispute would end with me being responsible. 3 TIMES WE WENT THROUGH THIS SINCE JANUARY. DO NOT BOOK HERE!!! I did not get my $300 security deposit back (after we cleaned up after our party), nor did I get my $400 for a service I did not receive. This only gets 1 star because I have to give it that minimally, I give this venue 0 stars.

The venue was lovely and, in the end, everything worked out almost perfectly. This review should be five stars and if it were not for Jason's attitude, it would be. Jason is the operations manager at the venue. He has a holier than thou attitude, seems to have disdain for those who want the event to go smoothly and has this smirk on his face when you ask for something making you feel like an idiot for wanting everything to go smoothly. Everyone who came into contact with Jason felt an immediate dislike toward him. Jason did almost everything that was requested of him and he has some technical competence. However, he clearly has disdain for the common person, gives the impression that he really doesn't give a rip about your event and makes you grovel to get what you need all the while making it clear that a gratuity is expected. He told us where the projector and screen had to be and we could not move it toward the middle. With a little extra work he could have moved them both. In fact, that was the one thing that was not perfect about the event. The slideshow was not seen as well as it could have been because Jason was not willing to put in the extra effort to make it better despite our requests. I walked in the day of the event with my nephew's bassoon. He is a professional symphony musician I said where can I put this to keep it out of the way and so no one will take it. He said, "no one will take your bassoon". Instead of, "how about you place it here and it should be fine," I had to raise my voice and say "this is a $10,000 instrument and I'm not taking a chance. I know you don't care about our event, but I do." The problem is I was afraid to get too assertive with Jason because he may stop helping altogether. Look up passive aggressive in the dictionary and you will see Jason's picture. The day before the event, as we were setting up some electronics, my brother had a question/concern. Jason actually started singing "que sera sera - whatever will be, will be." If there were no complaints about Jason, that would be one thing. However, there are many complaints about Jason over the years. BSEC knows about his behavior and continues to employ him so obviously they don't care or it has not hurt their business because people like us go ahead with the venue anyway. It was so convenient ,,,,,,, This is a lovely venue. However, it comes down to the fact that Jason is really kind of a jerk and he adds to the tension of an already stress filled time. If Jason will be your on site contact and you can find a different venue, I would suggest going elsewhere.

I am giving this place a review because I had my wedding and reception here in 2008…read more I do not know much about what ethical culture is...but my point of view for this review is about the estate, the grounds, and how it worked as the host for a wedding venue. The mansion was built by the Bon Ami cleanser inventor as a gift to his daughter. Dating from 1900, it is an example of neo-Jacobean style. The building faces Prospect Park West and has a large garden. The transom windows are by Louis Comfort Tiffany. There is a library, large interior meeting room with gorgeous beams, and a glass solarium. The yard has a paved patio where the chairs and tables for a wedding reception fit perfectly. There is a side yard where we had the ceremony. We had a live acoustic band and dancing outside. You can put a tent above the dining / patio area in case of rain or too much sun. I consider this place one of the most affordable wedding venues in NYC. The place fits around 110 or less with the patio used for dining and the interior for DJ or loud band. The combination of music played by my friends and dancing outside surrounded by blooming flowers and the lovely space was intoxicating. It made the day very special for my love and for me. Do It Yourself wedding types will enjoy planning a wedding here, it is not a wedding factory...just a beautiful house of worship. The space is inspiring, vintage, retro feeling...kind of like a beautiful old grand dame rising from a nap on her chaise lounge. I had the most memorable day of my life here and will always have a place in my heart for this building and the nice people who keep her in beautiful condition.
