They have a great assortment of home goods and I scored some vintage CUTCO cutlery at excellent prices. They also have cool vintage clothes and just the typical antique store randomness. The stand out here is their amazing staff. I got to the location just a little before opening and they still greeted me and let me come in a bit early. Also one man, I believe maybe the owner, was super nice chatting with me about local history and recommended additional resources to explore the history of North Adams at the local library and historical association. Truly a 5/5!

We have purchased antique prints, glassware and WWII memorabilia. But you have to get there early. Doors open at 9:00 and people start lining up as early as 6:00 a.m. The line starts at the west door. The regulars bring "sold" stickers and quickly place them on items as they are enter the building. Parking is limited and tight. The building also houses an antique mall with a broad arrange of east coast antiques. Ask for a 10 percent discount if you pay by cash or check on items over $25. The staff is friendly and accommodating. If you like antiques, Sanford and Kid is a unique and fine experience.

The run in and throw Everything onto the "sold" table. They don't care about anybody else or the merchandise. They throw what they don't want to the side, open boxes and don't close them and refuse to get out or someone else's way, they are literally like vultures picking bones clean. The store itself is nice, the owner is friendly and the employees are pleasant, its the "regulars" that really make this place suck. If your interested in shopping there on Friday morning bring you and 10 of your closest friends and start standing in line at 8:30am. As soon as u enter grab EVERYTHING you might suspect as valuable. (cause that's what these vultures are doing)

just had the owner, Dan Rhodes, buy furniture from me off craigslist. Met at a 1/2 way, neutral…read morelocation. He was Timely and called to give estimate of arrival. All positive so far When we met the fun began. He came in with story of buying for wife, then complains that the chair is missing the manufacturer marks. (Someone say resale?) I showed him an email from the president of the chair's manuf. stating it was their chair, which he then questions what photos I provided them. After hemming and hawing and trying to to dicker me down 100$ on the price, we settle on the agreed price. After this he asks if the deal is done and the chair was his, I say yes, he then starts cursing at me, calling me a real asshole and what not. I politely(as I could to a Masshole) wished him a happy 4th of July and safe travels. When I got home and had time to reflect on the details, a simple google search brought up his antique store! Saddleback Antiques. Questions answered. Buyers and sellers beware of getting on the wrong side of Dan Rhodes. Btw- they have a nice vintage DR Dimes writing chair for sale, unless his wife likes it too much.

My experience with this firm continues to cause distress 7 months after the debacle. Know This! These people are poorly organized and do not leave you feeling anything but angry and cheated. Nearly 3 months prior to sale we set a date. References were called but I believe they were family or friends. I was moving out of state so could not be there to oversee the sale. Two weeks prior to the agreed upon date , I was informed the date was moved forward one week . When I showed email proof, this firm changed back, but didn't reschedule another commitment so my sale was double booked. As a result I was told they wouldn't have enough time to properly prepare. ( and they didn't property prepare, it was total chaos.) It got worse. As promised, they advertised the sale for Friday and Saturday . On Friday morning, in another state, I receive a call from my security service. This firm was not at my home, but the public was. They were walking through my house and had tripped my alarm. J&k said they were at the other sale and "made a mistake" advertising the sale on a day they did not intend to be there, and "made a mistake" leaving my door unlocked. So the poorly prepped sale went on a day after strangers walked through, but J&K "reassured" me "nothing was missing." Know this: J&K will not provide you with a list of items sold, nor how much items were sold for. they will tell you that at the end of the sale they let buyers walk because "they were trying to and dime me." And lastly they will bring in another firm to charge you hundreds of dollars to clean out what didn't sell so that firm can resell it for their own benefit. Im not sure if there was conflict of interest. In summary, my advice, find an estate sales firm that knows estates.
