I work in organic skincare and when I read the ingredients of Rid - which is what I purchased two days before seeing Paula / the day I discovered lice in my hair - I was very reluctant to use it. Plus, after reading everything that I could about lice, I found several articles about pesticides now being not as effective and many lice bugs are getting more and more resistant to OTC and prescribed chemicals. After getting a rate from Licenders (jaws dropped, no kidding), I immediately called Paula back and was able to get her live on the phone. Anyway, Paula spent 3.5 hours combing out my hair and thankfully no bugs but she found 10 or so nits. Huge relief! She was very patient and carefully combed my scalp in two rounds. We had a nice conversation, too, which is always a plus! I have a very sensitive scalp and skin, and Paula was very gentle. Unlike the big companies / lice salons, Paula charges a flat fee (whew!), and it's worth every penny.
