After speaking with both Dr. friends and nurses and one former student everyone and I mean everyone said Dr. Steven Stryker is your man. As it turned out this was a very good decision because my surgery was quite complicated not a normal run-of-the-mill Bowel resection surgery my bowel had blowing up so huge that all of the neighboring organs were fused to it fortunately with Dr. Stryker's many many years of experience and know how he was able to get me through this crisis with flying colors. My husband told me that after the surgery when he met with Dr. Stryker that he looked visibly shaken from the operation that's how complex it was but I am happy to report that I am now fine and thankful that we had Dr. Stryker. Dr, Stryker explained the procedure in detail and there were no surprises. He visited me every day when I was in the hospital and made sure my care was excellent. The procedure changed my life. After dealing with ulcerative colitis for 33 years, I no longer have the pain and all the problems that go with the disease. Over the years he has made sure that my "J pouch" and my digestive system stays in excellent condition. Appointments are timely and the care is outstanding. I have never felt rushed by Dr. Stryker or his staff and follow up instructions are presented clearly and appropriate literature is given each time I visit.

I would not have gone to him for almost half my life if he wasn't. But some of his nurses and staff are unbelievably terrible people. I would like to rate this office higher but cannot…read more I have been a patient of Dr. Spratford's for almost 10 years and will not go anywhere only because of how great he is as an individual. This review though is for the practice as a whole. Time and time again over the years, this office seems to have suffered the problem of getting too large, too quickly, without enough resources. When they did their major additions and upgrades it took them months to get things together. The staff was/is over-worked and there was too much traffic at all times. Outside of that transition time hasn't been better. Getting in touch with your doctor is difficult. You have to call, leave a message, and often, even if you ask for the doctor, you get a call back from the nurse. Then you have to go through the whole process of leaving a message and waiting again. The staff and RN's have repeatedly gotten my recurring prescriptions wrong when communicating with the pharmacy, sometimes costing me dearly (I will say that the office has resolved this for me with their in house pharmacy, but I had to almost demand it). Out of all of that, my biggest complaint about the office is the general lack of attention to detail. For example, if my doctor leaves town, I have to TELL the doctor filling in to check my chart. To me this should be standard operating procedure. How can you answer a question of a patient if you haven't reviewed their file? They are too busy, without enough administrative staff, and it shows in the quality of assistance I get when I'm not with my doctor. (I'm surprised there's a hidden review here that says pretty much the same thing. I knew when I came on here that I couldn't possibly be the only person who's noticed this problem creep up over the years)

She is young, probably in her 30s, and just very attentative to me. I've seen doctors in the past who were eager to get you in and out, but Dr. Vaughan takes the time to sit down and listen to what you're going through. My most recent visit was in January '08, the reason I didn't really know. I had had a perpetual throat-clearing/cough for at least a year and I was finally getting it checked out. I did some research, and didn't know if it was allergies, asthma, or GIRD. I went in there, she sat down, and said "This is when I get to be a detective and figure out what's going on with you." I thought that was AWESOME! I was in there for an hour an a half, she was running different tests on me, and we figured out that it's possibly allergy-induced asthma, and definitely some allergy issues. I feel a lot better now that we're getting to the bottom of things, and I would recommend her to anyone! Other notes: I rarely have to wait more than 5 minutes in the waiting area to go into a room, which is great. Nothing worse than going to the doctor's office and having to sit and wait (especially when you have an appointment!).

I saw several medical professionals at several different associations before I found a U.S. Reports article naming Dr. Katz as one of the top 1% of Rheumatologist in the field. I will gladly recommend him to anyone seeking hard answers to difficult diagnoses. Dr. Katz Rush location can be busy, I have found Northwestern less so. You can expect to wait up to an hour, and while this may seem frustrating, you can rest assured that the Dr. will spend as much time as necessary with you to ensure you receive the dedicated attention each patient deserves; keep this in mind as others are treated and seen before you. The nursing staff and other Doctors within Rheomo & Assoc. are also excellent; shout-out to Josie & Robin for being full of personality and compassionate about your care.

He doesn't see any patient for 5 minutes; his patients can talk to him in the examining room for as long as they want to. I never felt that I was rushed or that there was a sense of Dr. Katz needing to leave for any reason. He answered all of my concerns in the most sincere way, and I can't ever say enough good things about him.

She seems to firmly believe in Health At Every Size, and has never commented on my weight. The nurses ask if I want to be weighed each time, but they always respect my decision. Dr. Kelly is kind, intelligent, analytical, and respectful. I have come to her with issues I'd be shy to take to a different doctor, but she has always treated me well. She's taken a critical look at medications and raised issues that other doctors had not (for example: one med might be causing some pain I'm experiencing). The office staff have worked me in when I needed to be seen right away. The office is comfortable with almost all chairs being bench-style without arms, and parking is easy. They have large blood pressure cuffs and use paper draping sheets instead of gowns when possible. My only quibbles are a.) the office is older (but functional and comfortable) and b.) I have found it best to schedule an appointment if I need forms filled out and hand them directly to Dr. Kelly. She's happy to take care of them, but in the past I'd dropped off a form and it was never completed. I still cannot recommend her highly enough!

(Functional or Non Functional Adrenal Mass) After the first visit, it was very clear that there was a protocol of tests that he felt was necessary to determine the seriousness of my problem and thus the protocol for such an issue. He has excellent communication skills, which includes a phone call to you personally when he has tests results. I was really surprised that he would call me even at 9 PM to let me know the results. I thought that was great....much better than making a patient wait til the next day when the doctor is either on rounds, doing procedures or seeing patients, thereby making it difficult to speak to him. Dr. Baldwin also seems to work long hours, and his colleagues tell me he is very dedicated to his work at Rush. Keep in mind that Rush also happens to be one of Chicago's finest medical centers The bottom line is I can't say enough good things about him. I would never consider another endocrinologist for my problem. I feel very comfortable in knowing that as long as I am his patient i will be well cared for.
