Delicious and fresh doughnuts here. This small space has big flavors and the staff are friendly. All your traditional doughnut flavors plus breakfast sandwiches that can be warmed. I we love the simple glazed flavor but also their Bavarian cream is delicious!

Probably the best donuts around and their maple glazed bacon donut is to die for. This is a locally owned bakery with hot coffee, breakfast sandwiches, apple fritters, and some of the best donuts we've ever had. Plenty of parking, friendly service.

I decided to try this place because I needed to bring doughnuts to a business meeting and I really don't like chain doughnut shops. This was certainly not a chain and it did not disappoint! The doughnuts were amazing. They also provided some free doughnut holes as well. Everyone wanted to know where I got these doughnuts. They were such a big hit. If you live in the area or just visiting like I was, please support this local business. It was amazing.

I made a stop at Lickin' Good Donut shop in Simpsonville. They have a nice selection of sweet pastries as well as some savory goodies. I've been to the shop before, but it was later in the day, and they were sold out on most of their pastries. Today there was plenty of things to choose from depending on what you wanted. Some of their sweet items are apple fritters, glazed and cinnamon coated twists, sour crème donuts, raspberry, lemon, chocolate and Bavarian cream filled donuts, chocolate, yellow and blueberry cake donuts. Some of the savory items were ham, cheese and egg, bacon, egg and cheese croissants, sausage dogs wrapped in what looked like puff pastry. On this visit since I had a variety to choose from, it took me a minute to decide what I wanted. I got a glazed twist, a lemon filled glazed donut and a blueberry glazed cake donut. The twist was fresh and so was the blueberry donut, both were delicious. If you're in the Simpsonville area during the morning, just drive around the corner of Food Lion, Donut is at the very end, you will be glad that you did!

Fantastic old school (aka no frills , no gimmicks) donut shop. Limited seating inside a just enough inventory to enjoy some variation.

Too much sugar. Trying to be like Krispy kream, they ice their donuts twice. Best donuts only need frosting one time.

I went in the Farmer's Market first. It looks like an old barn. There were lots and lots of homemade choices- "canned" soup bases, fruits, vegetables, salsas, jams, flavored oils to name a few. There were also fresh fruits, nuts, honey, vegetables, dairy products and cakes. There are four areas you can eat. The main "restaurant" is small with only a few tables. Evidently it's a favorite of older local gentlemen to gather for an early breakfast. There is also the "Pig Sty," "The Chicken Coop" and the farmer's market area. Some of these can be cold in the winter and warm in the summer so dress accordingly. The farmer's market area is heated by a wood stove. The staff here are so friendly. It felt like we were visiting family. The food was good ole country food. The hubby and I each ordered the breakfast plate. I had coffee with my choice of several flavored creamers. If you pay in cash you get a discount. If you are in the area you should check it out. You can order from the breakfast or lunch menu. Plan to stay a few extra minutes and look around and support local farmers. We brought home some boiled peanuts. Fun experience and good breakfast.

I have never been to Bridgeway Station, and wow, what a cute/fun area…read more The vibe and interior of Rotie did not disappoint. It is not a huge restaurant, but you aren't crowded either. My girlfriends and I went for girls night, and I loved how the place was packed with women. Such a cool idea. We got the rosemary beignets, and they were really good. Loved the butter that came with it too, and the parm. Very tasty. I had the half chicken, and it was maybe the best chicken I have ever had. Seriously, I know what I am ordering next time, and the time after, because it was so good. I didn't enjoy the sides as much. I had the pomme puree and the roasted vegetables. It's strange that the mashed potatoes were flavorless and mealy, and the veggies were meh. That said, the chicken was awesome, and I will come back for that alone.

Friday night we had a 5:45 reservation since that was what we could get on Open Table or a much later option. Turns out that this was a good choice because we got a nice 4 top for the two of us in a corner, so minimal "neighbors." Our order beat the kitchen rush. We saw the kitchen rush happen as the 6:00 reservations began to fill the restaurant. Service and hospitality was excellent. We continue to enjoy the evergreen, outdoor, theme brought indoors. We wanted to try some new things and have some familiar things. Our start was the chopped Caesar Salad, which has chopped fried anchovies as a unique way to include this into the salad as well as breadcrumbs rather than larger croutons (not grainy crumbs, but smaller than croutons) and this is quite sharable. Or, could be an entree with an added protein. We shared a steak tartare - classic and excellent, a Farmers board of meat, cheeses, jams, etc. and the full head of Roasted Cauliflower with a spiced yogurt sauce that was accompanied by our choices of fries and mixed steamed vegetables (green beans, asparagus, carrots). All of this was fantastic, with the star being the surprising roasted cauliflower dish. One glass of wine and that came to $119 ($150 with Christmas tip). The watch out here is two-fold. Most dishes are intentionally shareable by theme of the restaurant and the glass of wine is gonna run $15-$20 for an 8 ounce pour. So, we came back Sunday with one of our sons and his girlfriend to celebrate Christmas with her as this is a great gluten free restaurant and has become her favorite too. Sunday was less stellar, except for the service, which was on yeoman's duty and was outstanding, especially considering they were 7 staff down due to illness. We were greeted promptly for our 12:45 reservation and it took 5-7 minutes to get our table due to it being packed out and short staffed. Winds up that Anna, the manager, wound up waiting on us. I commend her for the good communication of her staffing predicament without making it a complaint or an excuse, because they delivered. We had our drink order and lunch order placed by 1:00 and drinks arrived at 1:07, shared Caesar arrived at 1:15 and meals at 1:33pm. I noted the time because they were doing a great job on managing the overall situation. We were out of there comfortably by 1:55, easy and well taken care of. My wife & son got the usual Reuben which is the current front runner in town. The girlfriend got an apple oriented salad without the praline pecans since they are not gluten free. Unfortunately, she did find three morsels of pecans, but they were avoided and due to the circumstances, we were not going to mention it - but here - just watch it if you are sensitive. I had the chicken and waffles with jam and maple syrup and the sunny side egg. This was only okay. I am quite sure what the chef intended and what I received were two different executions. The egg was perfection. The chicken was tasty, but not juicy and a bit tough (if Zaxby's is out executing here, there is a problem). The waffle was not tender at all and was almost too hard to cut with the provided butter knife, which then made the jam and syrup portion to be inadequate to overcome the waffle texture and flavor. With a fresher waffle, a bit more on the jam and syrup, this would have notched up, there is just a ratio thing there. I did have about half of the dish as carry home, but not sure if it will be eaten. I would not hold this against the restaurant though, just noting that a rush and short staff might have some unintended consequences. All in all, with a couple of brunch martini;s and a couple of bloody Mary's, the bill was $150 with tip $180 because it is Christmas and the staff and Anna did a banger job.

Seeing lots of people sitting out under the pavilion (even in 90 degree weather) helped me realize the food must be good! The front porch was accommodating to the ones who were waiting to be seated. The hostess on the front porch asked how many were in our party, and then took us inside to seat us. Entering inside reminded me of my great grandparents home, quaintness and community all wrapped into one room filled with tables filled by family and friends enjoying a meal together. The menu was not overwhelming and it did not take long to get a visual of the items as they passed by to other surrounding tables. The servers were friendly and offered all kinds of good advice for the guests. The food was amazing-good wholesome stuff. You would think your grandma was in the kitchen cooking because it is fresh and includes good deep flavors. The stuffed french toast was 2 slices of butter enriched Texas toast with a large serving of strawberries and cream cheese filling squished in the middle. The palmetto burger had just as pimento cheese as it did burger. With layers of crisp lettuce and a slice of tomato, get your mouth ready! To finish it off we shared the pecan pie paired with their buttermilk lemon ice cream (yes you read that right).....delicious!!!!! We will be back and remember the cash next time . Another trip today and another great meal, today we did breakfast and boy was it amazing-Will's smothered sausage and potatoes was a deep bowl of goodness, the monte cristo was delicious but after eating a ham ball and a Apple fritter allowed me to only eat half of the sandwich so I have leftovers for later.
