After our visit to the downtown kiosk and the discovery of how tasty these donuts are, we decided to hit up the main store on E. North St. to see where these are made and to bring some goodies to a friends home as a gift. It's a small shop but comfortable and the kitchen is open in back of the main counter. Several cute tables are sprinkled around, it's much more cute than a man cave. Do we call that a woman cave? Or a tea room? I dunno, it's just cute, so hope you get that, but the fun thing is there is a half pallet of bagged cane sugar staged for production right next to the cute area. And a cool idea is a shelf near the door of best seller books or local authors that you can read whilst there or, if you wish, purchase to take home. This is cool because it's not an indiscriminate large selection, it's a rather curated collection, which requires forethought. There's some Scout's donuts mech available. The big shocker though is $60 for a dozen donuts. They really are good, but that's steep. The counter staff were helpful and friendly. For some reason, $4-$5 a donut doesn't hit the same as $60 a dozen. But there were three folks with multiple donut orders ahead of us and a couple of tables with folks there at 8:00 AM. OMG Yum! I love me a good cronut and these were the best I've ever had. The glazes on these are out of this world good. I had the fresh blueberry one day and the fresh strawberry the next. They also have a savory breakfast sando made with a cronut on weekends, my husband loved this. He had a boston cream one one day which I sampled, also terrific. I am all about the fruity cronuts. If they have maple next time I might try that since for me that is the original great cronut flavor but it would be no catastrophe to have any of the others. I love Dominique Ansel's cronuts so was excited these were available in my hometown. I picked some up early in the morning to fly home to bring back to Maine. They made it through ok and were good the next 2 days.i wouldn't put them in a roller as i think they need to sit flat if they have a topping which most of mine did. Check their website or Instagram for seasonal/specialty flavors. They also offer lots of different coffees. They are heavy - the boston creme one weighed 9 oz but I would think that's the heaviest one. Plenty of easy, free parking. First time here, this place was recommended by a friend. The lady at the register was nice , really couldn't tell us her favorite she said they are all good. The atmosphere was super cozy feeling. Bright colors but not to bright. One thing is for sure place your orders online because we trying to decide on what to get the lady came over and said well we just had an order for online for a certain kinda doughnut so we filled that order first and didn't have any more of that doughnut for the day. In all the ways around that i thought it was totally wrong. We were there first and she should have said hey I just had an order come through online but since you guys were here first I give dibs on it if you want it but no . I just thought it was just rude. Other than that we like the doughnuts but just know online orders are a first priority. Whether you're standing thinking about a doughnut it might get sold right under your nose. A MUST EAT! I consider myself a big donut fan and this was the best donut I've ever had in my life! We were in town for Artisphere and saw the pink neon sign. I'm so glad we stopped! We went at like 1am right after the bar, they only have 2 or 3 flavors remaining but they were delicious! The cashier was so nice. The shop was super cute, you walk right up and order at the window. These are literally the best donuts ever. They are raised thick but light/flaky like a croissant. They have so many different flavors to choose; it's a good range of the classic flavors like fresh strawberry or coffee to a few different flavors like goat cheese fig or peach basil. Unbelievably good... donuts? These are obviously not traditional donuts and if you go there for that you might never go back to the original style. We had Boston cream and apple cider. Both donuts had the perfect amount of flavor, toppings and texture. The croissant like interior is both flaky and dense. Every bite was delicious. I've been here 3x. My favorite donut/cronuts by far have been the carrot cake donut and the cinnamon sugar donut. The honey Lavender flavor a little overwhelming for me. But this was simply a preference on my part. The Samoa (chocolate, coconut) donut was purchased for someone else and they LOVED IT. The topping/glaze on the peach basil, was a little too sugary for me. The coffee cream was delicious. The berries and cream was ok. I felt like the berry compote inside of the layered donut took away from the texture. I highly enjoy every experience at this place. The employees have always been extremely nice. Is it a croissant or a doughnut? You don't really know until you realize it's actually BOTH. Super unique and different to either common dessert. You get the super warm, sweet, frosting enticement of a doughnut. But then you also get the buttery, flaky, light consistency of a croissant. Not sure how they do it but I LOVE sugar and dessert....and could only eat one it was so rich and delicious. Cost was worth every calorie. I'll be following their Instagram closely to see where they pop up next as they don't have a set location. Oh and I should mention it is ma and pa owned. Very small business, cottage baking at this point but you would NEVER know it as each "cronut" looks perfect and would make even a French pastry chef proud. read more

You either get there early and stand in line for 20 minutes in the rain, or you go in when the line is gone to find out that they didn't make enough donuts to support the demand. Incredible cronuts. I've had some in NYC that were alright, but these blew me away. They've got some staple flavors like strawberry alongside seasonal ones - I got the chai buttercream. The doughnuts are tall, covered with a light dusting of sugar, and extremely light and flaky. The cream on the chai doughnut was rich, aromatic, but they didn't put too much on. The doughnut also had the perfect amount of sweetness. Definitely going to come here again, especially since they're opening a breakfast sandwich expansion next year.
