    3/22

Let me begin with a visit on 3/15 at 12:24 pm. The second time we have been in there since the day of the grand opening. I noticed hundreds of dead bugs which appeared to be gnats on the 2-liters of soda, the cans, shelves, and floor. They were also on the water side of the isle and floor. I did not notice any in the walking area of the isle so possible they have been swept up. I had privately told the young assistant manager and showed him. We made our purchase and left. One week later on 3/22 at 1:05 we revisited the location and I found 3 packages of ground pork dated 3/22 (Key point in this story) so I inquired to the same assistant manager from the prior week about the orange stickers they have and was told that those will be marked down about 4pm that evening and to come back then. We made our way to the water isle to stock up on flavored water and again noticed hundreds of dead gnats covering things still/again we made our purchase and left. Luckily I did take photos of the insects on both visits which I have to verify my dates and times of visits. Now to tonight's incident 3/24. My wife and I stopped to get more flavored waters and dinner items. I saw a package of the ground pork with the sticker and 3/22 date on it on the back wall next to a marked down half gallon of milk and a box of 10 slice packages of cheese that have been markdown. Took the package of ground pork and about a dozen flavored waters to the check out. I inquired to the man at the register who was not wearing a nametag so I can not name him, however, I would say 40's maybe 5'10" maybe 220lbs with a slightly reddish beard. I asked if they usually have meat past the date for sale. He informed me they sell through the date. I mentioned I attempted to purchase it on 3/22 and he said that is when it would have been marked down for the 23rd. I then asked why would it still be on the shelf for sale then since it is the 24th? He response was "It wasn't, I know for a fact there were 3 packs and they were dated 3/26" When I had looked at that location (where they are merchandised) earlier there were 2 so no issue. I then asked, "How did I find it then if you know for a fact it was not in the store?" "I don't know" was his response. I then asked "What do you think I brought it in the store?" His reply "Well yes, it's the only thing that makes sense" A couple more back and forth affording him the opportunity to think on his response, I even asked several times if they have cameras and he could look at the video. Then I directly asked him "Are you calling me a liar" Then he doubled down on his claim. At this point I told him exactly where I found it and what was surrounding on the back shelf. At that moment he went in to apology mode but the damage was done. Yes I did got elevated in my tone no curse words were used as my wife and I left our purchase on the belt and walked out. I saw 4 other customers outside where I apologized for raising my voice and all four agreed I handled it fine and he did not.

Authentic German bakery section! Prices are way less than in other supermarkets. Aldi is good too, but Lidl has a better product variety.

And it must be a local favorite as there were quite a few telecommuters working in there. The barista was awesome. Friendly, up beat and a very nice vibe. My double espresso Americano Carmel Macchiato was delicious and I was quite impressed with my bacon, egg and cheese croissant. The croissant was amazing. It was so delicate and lite it just about disintegrated in your mouth. A very nice place to enjoy a cup of java. Now to get back there for some beer sampling. Which by the way had quite a few taps.

My friend and I visited Stout Brothers for a coffee meet up & we were pleasantly surprised when we entered! We were looking to support a local coffee shop that had ample seating, great coffee and quick bite to eat & this location in downtown Woodstock had just that! I ordered a cold brew with brown sugar cold foam and a warmed Croissant. The cold brew was sooo good, I sipped it as slow as possible for long lasting enjoyment haha! Its been hours since I left & the caffeine is still at work! (Just what I like lol) The croissant was delicious & fresh! For the amount of people that were there, it was relatively quiet. The tv's were on & you could purchase beer in the am if that's your jam! They also had Alma coffee for sale, had to get a bag, i LOVE alma! And some local honey and bee pollen. This is the kind of coffee shop I love to frequent! I would be very interested to see the vibe Stout offers in the evenings! I will definitely be returning in the near future!!!

I suppose you can evaluate and review just about any store in any kind of way you want, it's likely our expectations will never be met. You'll see horrible reviews about Publix. Aldi, Whole Foods, Sprouts and so forth. Some of us probably have never left anything other than negative reviews for anything. Having shopped at the Kroger on Hwy 92, I can say 99% of the negative reviews are valid. 92 represents what a Kroger (or any other retailer should NOT be like. I had to bring that up, because in comparison the Town Center Kroger is a "Taj Mahal." I've been there several times in the past week and though some of the various food items might not be up to Publix standards (like the store brand chicken or their steaks), the produce and everything else was nice, displayed well and clean... people were friendly. For Pete sakes, if you're going to shop at a Kroger, this is the one you should go to. Think I'm wrong? Visit the other Kroger stores and you'll understand. This store, IMHO is the "flagship" of reasonable priced grocery stores in the area.

Since I'm not familiar with this Kroger branch, it took me a while to find the items that I was looking for. There were no alive cashiers, but there was a nice attendant who was assisting customers. I just feel that I make so many purchases at Kroger stores that I would like the "human touch" since I'm not working there.

They are always very friendly and helpful, my complaint is that there is no point in ordering anything online ahead of time. The subs are usually not ready and as was my experience tonight, after they weren't ready on time again even though I ordered 40 minutes ahead of time, I left and came back 20 minutes later to be told that they were out of chicken tenders and didn't know how long it would be before they could make the subs. Had I been told that on my first visit or called since they ask for your phone number when you order I could have made other plans. I feel like this place is a coin flip. You never know what you might get. I've had other issues and most of the time there didn't seem to be any desire to meet me half way to work it out.

It's good to know that the employees are now not just lying to customers, but overcharging us as well simply because they don't want to do the job they're being paid to do. In fact, the fact that they still have the labels with all the ingredients listed on them tells me that they did not stop making these, and if it wasn't for a special occasion, I would not have bought this at this price . Do better Publix, because I will now be buying them at Costco, and until that rude, lazy man in the meat department is fired, I will not be returning.

Publix sets itself apart from their competition by offering super clean stores, excellent product selection and better than most customer service. I was extremely disappointed in my experience at this Publix tonight. (3/5/2018) We had just left a community meeting at the Woodstock Police Department with some of my fellow Woodstock neighbors and decided that we would all pop in to grab a few things since we were in the area. We started out checking out the BOGO bins and then worked our ways to the deli department. Then to the bakery. We were checking out some of the baked good when a woman (heavy set, brown hair, older woman) barked at us and said in a sharp voice "May I help you?" Which one of my neighbor answered "No. we're just looking." The employee didn't say anything and just walked off..... I don't know if she was insinuating that we were up to something no good or what but we weren't doing anything wrong. Just looking at some cup cakes and some peach pies..... the five of us are all grown people with college educations, home owners and one of them had a teenage kid. So for some grocery store employee talking down to us like we were teenagers giggling at a library is not only unprofessional but down right rude. You can bet the 5 of us will never come back to this store every again! Review updated on 3/5/2018
