I was very disappointed to discover one of those people was the teacher. The other girl, I'm assuming she worked there? Put her mat directly on top of mine as class was starting so she could see herself in the mirror and I had to move so I didn't get kicked in the face, and there was plenty of space, but I guess she really needed to see herself take breaks the entire class. The instruction was not good. There was no firm correction, the cues were all over the place. In the middle of class the instructor stopped and asked everyone what they were doing later. I come to yoga to be present so I can carry that with me, I don't want to think about what's happening later when I'm here to work on being present in the moment. I went back several more times because I signed up for the new student special and it was all the same. The community that regularly attends all like to gossip and they LOVE when the teachers ask what they are doing later. It's safe to say there is no enlightenment happening at this studio. If you are looking for a studio to gossip and or be treated as if you don't exist and are NOT interested in strengthening your practice or clearing your mind, this is the studio for you! If you want to go somewhere with a high vibe that is welcoming and will help you grow your practice keep looking because this studio is not it.

She was hyper aware of the entire class, giving targeted recommendations when needed, which tremendously helped me to improve my practice. A very nice bonus is Jamie seemed to always know the perfect times to let cool air into the room. I walked away from my class feeling stronger and incredibly satisfied. The owner, Lydia, has done a wonderfully cultivated a space and atmosphere that are warm, open, and peaceful. She is one of the best Vinyasa teachers I've ever learned from and fully embodies what yoga is truly about: inward connection through asana, pranayama, and leela (play!). It seems there are many phony studios these days that focus solely on fitness and lack the essence of true yoga. This is the rare exception! If you're on the fence about trying yoga or a new studio, I really recommend trying a class with Lydia at Leela. You won't be disappointed!

From friendly instructors to clean facilities, I genuinely look forward to going to classes. There are lockers, bathrooms, showers, water fountains, and hanging racks available. Try to get to class at least 5 minutes before so you can get ready and settled into your mat. They also rent out mats and towels at the front desk. Most classes start on your back, which I love because it helps me clear my mind before class starts. My favorite instructors are Bekah, Chelsea, and Tami. Whenever I see their names on the schedule, I know I'm in for an excellent session. They're easy to hear throughout class and give clear, straightforward instruction that makes the practice accessible without unnecessary complexity or repetition. I highly recommend trying these instructors, though you really can't go wrong with any of the instructors here. There is street parking around the building and also a parking lot that you can access from 71st or 72nd street. It costs 4.99 for 90 minutes, but if you shop at PCC with a minimum purchase the charge is waived ( don't forget to get the coupon from PCC when you check out!)

Like many, of course, my yoga practice grew and grew amidst the isolation of the pandemic and I am now happily obsessed with daily practice and challenging myself often. Luckily, I found Maven Yoga right as I decided I was feeling safer and ready to attend in-person classes to grow my practice. I am even LUCKIER to have this sweet little studio near home, and though I've only been attending a few weeks so far, I am SO excited to continue my practice at Maven Yoga moving forward and definitely recommend their unlimited 30-day special for anyone considering new yoga studios in their routine! I have thoroughly enjoyed all of the classes I've attended with different instructors and have found myself both challenged and relaxed after every class! I really appreciate that a sense of community seems to be a goal in this studio - the instructors, especially Kai, make it a point to make you feel seen and guided throughout class. I don't feel like just another number at this studio and feel welcomed every time I step in! The amenities are also great! A relaxing studio with big mirrors and a cool ambiance, changing rooms, showers, restrooms, and super clean - what more could you ask for? They were challenging, there were many to choose from, and all the instructors were exceellent. The community was so friendly. We will defintiely be coming to take classes every time we are back in Seattle, which is going to be frequent. Vitality Pilates was one of the best parts of our two week trip. All the instructors treated us like we had been there for years and were welcoming and interested in making sure we had a great experience and class. First and foremost, Kaitlyn M is a rockstar. Her classes are thoughtful, creative, and the perfect balance of challenging yet approachable--you feel the work, but never in a discouraging way. She has amazing energy, gives spot-on cues, and her corrections are always gentle yet effective. I love how she explains what we're working on, what it targets, and how it should feel, while always offering both more advanced and less intense options. Her class flow, the challenge, the stretching--it's all delicious! Her professionalism and ease make it feel like she's been teaching forever, yet she hasn't lost her spark or edge. I'm beyond grateful for her classes and (selfishly) wish she taught even more! Honestly, I hesitate to write this because I don't want to end up stuck on the waitlist, but credit is due where it's deserved--Kaitlyn is amazing! I also have to shout out some of the other fantastic instructors at Vitality: Liz's jumpboard classes are an absolute blast--her spunky energy is contagious, and I look forward to my Thursday nights with Liz and our little jumpboard crew every single week! Mari's classes are top-notch; they're usually waitlisted, and there's a reason why--she's fantastic. Sharareh is a newer teacher, and I love how much care, affinity, and belief in the power of Pilates she brings to every class. She is tender in the best way. Michele also started more recently, but you'd never know it. She taught the first class I ever took at Vitality, and I had no idea she was new--her instruction was clear, and she spoke to the fundamentals of Pilates beautifully. Teaching a beginner class can be tricky, and she handled it seamlessly! Natalie--creative, challenging, and guaranteed to kick your butt! MK is always a joy--consistent and lighthearted, and I leave every class with a smile. Andy... OMG. So hard. So many planks. But a great class nonetheless! Overall, I'm incredibly grateful for Vitality. Their pricing is reasonable, allowing me to do the unlimited package, which has improved both my physical and mental health tenfold.
