It was my first or second week of yoga classes in the studio. I felt a little overheated during the…read moreclass and went to lay down on a wooden bench in a hallway. I didn't walk around or touched anything, just lay down on a bench to cool down a bit. The studio Manager (who is also a yoga teacher was in the hallway at that time) approached me and began expressing concern for my health and suggesting that I take some easier classes. Which is wonderful and understandable, thank you very much! Then she said the following: "Another reason not to leave the room during class is that people might feel uncomfortable with you being around their belongings. I'm not saying that you would steal anything, but they might be concerned because they don't know you." Just like that, almost word for word - I have an excellent memory. When I eventually spoke my mind on this topic (in email), the Manager sent me a long email full of explanations. She was clearly standing by her words, even repeating them, justifying them by saying that stealing has happened in the studio before. In the same email, she informed me that my studio pass is being terminated and I'm not to return to the studio. Let me tell you about myself. I'm an immigrant speaking with an accent and a white-passing person of color; I work in Higher Education. I've told this story to many of my colleagues and friends. Everyone is in disbelief and asking me - did it happen here, in our state!?! Yep... If the management of this studio believes that I was not treated in any irregular or unusual way, and if they stand by their comments, they should turn their words to me into a studio policy for everyone to consider, not only me! It could go something like this: "Coming outside the room into a hallway during class is discouraged. One of many reasons, people might be uncomfortable with you, our lovely and valued customer, being left unattended around their belongings. Unless they know you, of course! BTW, we are not saying that you would steal anything, no-no! Don't get us wrong! We're only expressing what others might think of you!" :-)

The studio clearly doesn't answer their phones or check their voicemails. This is horrible customer service and I'm pissed that I'm having to pay $89 per month for a studio that I haven't been to since 12/2023. Do not sign up for automatic payments. I made a 1 YEAR commitment and they didn't hold up their end of the deal. I don't know if the management is taking advantage of people or are just not paying attention. I regret signing up and I will continue to leave bad reviews until the company makes things right.

However, their customer service is the worst I have ever experienced! I found another yoga studio last year that was more my style, but had a year commitment to them so I continued to pay until January, when I had told them I wanted to cancel. It is now March, they are still charging my account. I have called, I have left several messages, I have sent several emails. I have never had someone get back to me. I am angry, as I cannot afford to pay for two yoga studios at the same time, nor should I have to. I am going to report them to my bank as fraudulent.

The instructors encourage you to challenge yourself while also respecting your body's limits. The atmosphere is very friendly and welcoming, while also being quiet and peaceful. Attending the classes regularly has helped me build a lot of strength and flexibility. I've surprised myself with some of the postures that I'm not able to do that seemed impossible before.

I've taken classes with Aspen, Carolina, Alex, Laura, Iza and Will and they've all been kind, generous teachers. The community at the studio is great- classmates are welcoming and friendly. The studio is clean and mats are spaced in a way that gives everyone enough room. I love that the studio offers special events like yoga Nidra with Carolina, and Kundalini and Sound Baths with Aspen Rose.

I was instantly comfortable with the instructor Cecelia (Ce). She is so knowledgeable, patient, and encouraging. I never for an instant felt awkward. I'd always been afraid to try Yoga before I started with Cecilia at IncludeYoga. I am not flexible…read moreand also am very fidgety, so I didn't think Yoga would be a good fit for me (from the little I knew about it). I am also someone who really hates exercise. My view on Yoga and exercise have taken a 180 turn, and that is due to Ce and her classes. Ce is so patient and makes sure that I am in the right positions; I have found that I have gained flexibility and that I'm never bored with the Yoga classes. Cecilia works hard to make every class different and focus on different areas of the body. Not only have I lost weight and gained muscle tone, but Ce is helping me correct bad posture, and strengthen muscles I have never used. Cecilia gives special care and attention to every client, and her friendly and calming nature makes her classes somewhere I want to be; I am enjoying exercise for the first time. I really like that Cecilia uses many different formats and props in her classes, such as TRX, exercise ball, Tye4, etc. The classes are smaller so that you get personal attention and can easily see her demonstrate each pose and exercise. I leave every class feeling calmer, stronger, more centered, and somehow lighter than when I walked in. It's a genuinely good workout, but it never feels like it's just about the poses. The teachers are kind, compassionate, and really know how to meet people where they are. The whole space is welcoming and down-to-earth. It has a spiritual feel without ever being preachy, pretentious, or weird--which is honestly hard to find. It just feels authentic. If you've ever thought yoga wasn't your thing, or you've been looking for a practice that's good for both your body and your mind, I'd definitely recommend giving Ananda Yoga a try.

I have been taking Anna's prenatal yoga class on Wednesday nights and occasionally Saturday…read moremornings for about the past six months of my pregnancy, and it has been absolutely amazing. Kirkland is completely inconvenient and out of the way for me, but I'm willing to make the drive any time in order to attend Anna's class. She is intelligent, sweet, personable, and incredibly knowledgeable about the practice of yoga during pregnancy. I love the way the class is structured, beginning with a check in and conversation about various pregnancy related topics, breathing and meditation exercises, prenatal yoga practice that is specifically tailored to each person in the class, and savasana to end. The class usually goes about 20 to 30 minutes later than scheduled, which means you're really getting your bang for your buck ($14 per class for a 10 class package). This is such a wonderful, healthy way to stay active during your pregnancy, and also prepare your body for labor and delivery. Prenatal yoga has helped alleviate my back pain, improve my circulation, and even help with digestion. It's also a great way to relax and de-stress, and provide some quiet time for me and my baby. I always leave feeling relaxed and refreshed. I will really miss this class when I'm not pregnant anymore!
