I am terrified of doctors so receiving this kind of treatment was welcoming it took away my anxiety and fear of doctors I have another appointment with her next 2 weeks and I cannot wait I have never in my entire adult life look forward to have a doctor's visit until today May 24,2021. The front desk staff told me that there is a 15 grace period for all other times except for the 4:15pm. All I'm asking for is courtesy and communication. On my medical records the notes often said i was obese-- And i'm not... I'm just built heavier because pre pregnancy i used to go to the gym. The women that look after you here are nice but there are a few that have made me uncomfortable because of their attitudes in the past. One woman taking my blood made it extremely uncomfortable, i think she put the needle in incorrectly? And a woman taking my blood pressure didn't let my arm sit in the right position so it read wayyy higher than it was supposed to. My new ob/gyn has definitely made me realize how mediocre the care was for me here and it's a shame it took them pulling the rug from under me to find that out the hard way so close to the end of my pregnancy. Anyways i had to get an ultrasound to confirm that i had cyst on my ovaries. I didn't catch her name but the ultrasound tech was light skin heavyset a little older she had twists or dreads . she was very rude and unprofessional. This was the type of ultrasound where they stick the probe in your vaginal area mind you again i am 18 and this is my first time having a procedure like this done. So i get undressed and i am now on the table shes getting ready to put the probe in but i kept on flinching and moving because i was anxious and nervous. She proceeded to roll her eyes and say "Are you sexually active ?" i say yes . She says "Well it feels like sex i need you to relax so we can get it over with it doesn't hurt it's just uncomfortable." Even with my lab results, I explained how poorly I was feeling and how difficult it has been to function. Despite that, she refused to provide a work excuse until I finished my prescription or felt better. I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable--I simply wanted my symptoms and concerns to be taken seriously. Compassion and listening are just as important as treatment, and I left feeling like neither was provided.
