I went in store and ordered and prepaid for cupcakes for a birthday five days later. I went to pick them up and was told they must have forgotten or maybe misplaced my order! After about 20 minutes, I was told all I could do was pick from what they had in the case. 2 were what I'd ordered, the rest not any I wanted. They were very low on selection. They gave me a free cupcake for my trouble. Well... the cupcakes are terrible. Walmart does much better. They were dry, did not taste like homemade cake or frosting. AND they charge $4 for each one!! I will never buy from them again. The one young gal was nice but seemed confused when I said I had ordered and paid days earlier. She got someone else who told me basically I was out of luck. The young man who took my order seriously lacked customer skills! I bought cupcakes from ButterSweet Bakery in OKC because these were so bad that even the birthday boy didn't eat his! read more

There's not that many options in Altus for bakeries and I needed a custom cake for baby shower.. Halloween themed. Reached out to Life is a Batch and was not disappointed. Life is a Batch is amazing. Their workers are friendly and try to go above and beyond as often as possible. Their bakery items are so good and their lunches are my favorite in Altus, especially their Chicken Salad and soups. I have ordered for events before and had zero issues personally. I know for a fact that if there is an issue, if you are kind and talk to their management they will make the situation right. When you insult their workers and their product, it just reflects poorly on you; especially when you hide behind your keyboard and complain. read more

This place has changed owners and location and it's not the same. It is bad. We ordered a large order for a company party. We called that afternoon to let them know we were coming to pick up the order. They lady on the phone said that the employee forgot to put in the order to the bakers. It sent us scrambling to Walmart just an hour before our event. Very poor customer service is a small town with limited options. It was a big let down. Won't use them or recommend them again. read more

This is a great bakery with a lot of options for this small town. The cupcakes and cookies are always in fun flavors and colors for the kids and they offer a variety of drinks. Beers are available for the adults. I have ordered 3 cakes since they switched owners (2019 I believe) and all have been exactly what i have wanted at a good price. Taste is fantastic too. read more

Love these ladies. My daughter calls them "The Cookie Ladies" and always yells it at them when we go in. Get the Salty Mel. It's hands down my favorite. Not in the mood for a cookie? Go for the lemon bars. You won't be mad. She usually gets the sugar cookies or whatever delightfully decorated sugar cookies are there that week. read more

Cookies on point. They are thick, flavorful, and filling. Saw they also make sandwiches via Facebook so I had to scope it out. The sandwiches leave much to be desired in my opinion. I can craft a better tasting/looking one at home. Long story short: support this cute local business and eat all their bakery goods, but maybe skip the sammie. read more
