This office is dreadful. They they are extremely disorganized, have no respect for your time and create policies that result in unnecessary copays through the claims of "mandatory labs". Since they are so disorganize you aren't aware of these policies until your prescription runs out. Mind you, even if you call 2 weeks before your script running out, nobody every takes the time to call you back to explain these ridiculous policies. So while you think they are just moving slow because of their obvious chaotic nature, really its incompetence that fuels this office. Let describe my short lived time (7 months) with this horrid office: First they lost my urine sample, how that happens.. laziness thats how. When they called to ask if I left a sample I said "Of course I left it in the cupboard with the sign, did you check both cupboards", to which she replied "yes". Except that was a lie. Because when I drove back 7 DAYS later to give another sample, I opened the cupboard, and what did I see staring at me, my urine sample (pictured below). So this tells me a couple of things, one that cleanliness is not a top priority in this office, and 2 their employees are not willing to go the extra step to assist their clients. Not sure how a urine sample goes unnoticed for a week, but ok. Second, it is clear that their real priority is how much money they can make off of you. They set these ridiculous policies, that require you to come in for blood work every 3 months. That way, they can charge you a copay, and also charge your insurance. Instead of the customary practice of 6 month blood work to monitor sugars. I mentioned this to my other medical professionals that I see and they confirmed that the only reason an office would do this to monitor sugars is to profit off of their clients. I have been on this prescription for 8 years and have always had my blood drawn twice a year. We as consumers have to stop empowering individuals with dishonest practices. I wanted to support this office but their greed and inability to respect their clients has caused me to changed my tune. Now lets get to customer service. If your appointment is at 4, best believe you will be waiting until at least 6 to be seen. But being patient is not the problem, it is the staff's disrespect that creates the real friction. Imagine CHOOSING a doctor's office to only be spoken to in a condescending manner. When I explained to them that my insurance will not cover a prescription unless it is 90 days, their response was "you don't have $15 dollars for your prescription?" with judgement dripping from their tone. Personally I did not know how much the cost of the medication would be without insurance, but simply stood on the principle that I pay for insurance so I shouldn't have to pay full price. She didn't care and stated that she would simply "give me the $15 since I didn't have it". I was stunned by this response because this is one of the worst economic times for many people, and her judgement was not necessary. Especially since I made a CHOICE when selecting this practice. I strongly suggest you go elsewhere. Unless you want to be disrespected, have your time wasted, be called at obscene hours (11PM) for a phone appointment that was scheduled for 6PM, have your appointments forgotten, I would avoid these people at all cost. After I was in, a girl came in and she asked me the questions I already answered in the papers they give you at the beginning. She told me she was going to be back to take my blood. 30 minutes passed and no one entered the room I was in; I had to go out and ask what was going on. When they finally came in they took out my blood but they did it wrong, the lady started moving the needle inside of me. After waiting another 30 minutes a girl came in to talk with me and I left with my prescription. Dr, Gordon never appeared. I came back two weeks after for the results of my exams and they expected me to wait two hours again. I've been a patient at this office for many years now. I can definitely say they have improved tremendously on the wait time. Now that Amanda the nurse practitioner has been working at the Pines and Flamingo location I never sit in the waiting room for hours and then another hour in the examination room. DR.Gordon has trained her well and she is very friendly and provides a lot of detailed information about everything related to my body inside and out and provides print outs of things if you need further clarity and she does it in a timely manner. Today, in 2019 with the tumultuous and nasty political climate concerning healthcare, it's rare when you find a doctor's office that truly cares about you in a way that your respect, dignity, self-esteem, and concerns are the priority of a patient. I first went to this doctor's two years ago, then because of current insurance regulations I was force to find a new doctor. Fortunately, its now 2019 and this office is now accepted by my current insurance company; therefore, I instantly declared this office to be my primary doctor. The doctor is never available and you're forced to see ARNP, which I have no real issue with because I work at a doctors office myself but every time I'm seen she doesn't look sure of what the problem may be and she just sends me to a specialist, no real test are done to figure out the real issue, I have questions and it seems like she's left with questions as well she's just as clueless as I am. I went to have labs done because she didn't know what was going on and no one even called me back with results and when I finally called of course they want me to come back in just to pay a copay. I wish I could give 0 stars. My husband is a patient there (not for much longer, we are switching doctors). We have gotten no answers about his health problems and every time he goes to see them he waits about 2 hours to even be called in... that's WITH an appointment! Then another 40 minutes to be seen inside. Ridiculous. They have given him the "it's probably" yet with no real testing.. just guesses. And he is VERY sick so believe if something happens or worsens I will be suing! My issue isn't with cleopatra as I have not met her. By far one of the worst doctor offices there is in Pembroke Pines. The wait is over 2 hours long. Once you get in, it's another 2-3 hours for the doctor to talk to you. You wait about 4-5 hours just for her to speak with you for 2-5minutes. It's annoying, and aggravating. I had a couple other clients complaining. Also, staff up front is rude. Do not go here. The MAs, front desk, and staff are all great! The nurse practitioners are the best! They really try to help you. But the Doctor (Dr. Cleopatra Gordon-Pussey) is extremely flashy (stiletto heels, hot pink, blue, and silver eye makeup, and obnoxiously big hair) and rude. She shows up 45-60 minutes late and acts as if she did you a favor by coming! She literally told me I should be grateful she came (an hour late). She will yell at you if she sees fit. There is no type of patient- practitioner relationship but there is a whole lot of attitude and demeaning tone. She had no idea I was an established patient. Worst office experience ever! Please think about it twice before you choose this office I did because it's the closes office to me that takes my insurance but this place is a disaster . From the moment you walk in the waiting time goes from 2-3 hours they just put you in a room and leave you there for another hour until the doctor comes in sees you for 10 mins all that wait for a few minutes of their time . Also they expect you to come every 2 weeks to get your test results or test you again basically any excuse they can make up just to charge you again and if you ever need help from them forget it . So they prescribed me a topical acne medication , my insurance needed a PA from them so I called their office and told them about it long story short it's been two months and they never sent anything I called them about 6 times with the same issue they'll tell me don't worry we will send it today and nothing ever happened . Right now I've been waiting since last week for the doctor to approve my prescription because I'm out of refills and they won't help me unless I make an appointment so that they can charge my insurance again , I've called so many times and the doctor is "always out for lunch" or "not in the office today" I don't know how someone can go to lunch from 11am to 2pm it's crazy but they're quick to ask you if you'll like an appointment to be seen by the doctor . The front desk was unfriendly the entire experience starting with the call to schedule the appointment. I received three reminder texts about the appointment and did all the paperwork they requested online before my appointment. I showed up at exactly 9:30am for my 9:30 appointment. When I walked in, I rang the bell for them to open the front desk window, and they opened the window and without a word, shoved a clipboard out on the desk and immediately closed the door. It was weird. So I filled out what they wanted on the clip board and then sat and waited in the waiting room all alone (no one else in the waiting room) and didn't hear a single thing from anyone coming in or out or any staff for 45 minutes while I waited. Then, some lady came out in jeans (I found this unprofessional) and got me and weighed me and then asked my height and wrote it down without measuring it. Then she took me back to the treatment room and took my blood pressure. I waited then in the treatment room for another 15 minutes before some other assistant came in to go over background information. This guy was great, and when he asked me how I was I told him I was tired of waiting and wanted to just be seen so I could get on with my day. he asked how long I had been waiting and I told him an hour and 15 minutes and he looked surprised and apologized. I waited another 5 minutes or so after he left before the doctor came in. I told her that I had been waiting for an hour and 20 minutes and she just kind of murmered an apology and moved on, not really seeming to care. We went about the appointment with all the normal things and then she told me that we were going to do blood work. I asked what for. She said to check that everything is good. I asked if she thought something was wrong. She said no, but just to check. I said I think I'll pass if you don't think anything is wrong because there seems to be no reason to do it. She said insurance covers it. So I was tired of wasting time taking to her about it since she was clearly just doing the bloodwork for the insurance money. So I said ok, but can it be quick, and she said yes. So she prescribed my med to me and a nurse came in and drew my blood, which went well. The nurse then informed me that I need to do a urine sample as well, which I can only assume is for more insurance money since there was no reason to do a urine sample. So I went int he bathroom and did the urine sample and left it on the shelf where they told me to leave it and there were already a few other samples sitting there as well, which seems very strange to me that those hadn't been collected yet. I left without scheduling a follow up appointment. Really bad experience overall and I won't be going back. It was all just really terrible. As a side note, I'm a doctor with my own office and I would never treat patients in my office the way I was treated there. It's disgusting. And the office was super trashy and messy. read more

I was looking for a family practice to go to, and when I looked up Dr. Pusey ratings online, then were amazing. I went to see her for the first time on Friday for a bruised leg and lower back pain, and I must tell you my first impression of the place was amazing. As I walked I was greeted by Jenny, who was very nice and welcoming, and I also heard the office singing happy birthday to a patient. What a way to show a patient you appreciate them. When I met Dr. Pusey she was nothing less than amazing! She took her time to speak to me, and she showed me that she cared, not only that her beautiful personality just lights up the room. I am happy to now have her as my primary physician, and Thank you Torrie for helping me to get my FMLA paperwork filled out. You are the best!!! read more

Dr. Gordan-Pusey is the BEST family doctor you will ever find. She really cares about her patients. She will look at you like a person rather than a bunch of dollar signs. She takes her time going over all of your concerns in full detail to get to the root of the issue. Yes, the visit could take about 2 hours from the time you walk in the door till the time you leave, but it is so forth it to have a REAL doctor care for you. Once it's finally your turn to see her, you will see why the wait was so long. The staff has always been accommodating and caring, not to mention helpful. Went in for a wellness visit. Had to fill out the typical paperwork that you do when you are a new patient (check marks next to previous illnesses, etc.) and specifically told the front office and the nurse practitioner that my reason for visit was for my one-time a year wellness visit. I had no complaints or problems at my time of visit, was just asking for a check-up. The NP asked me about my history of sinus problems, I confirmed, "Yes, that has been a problem for me in the past." I did not complain about current sinus problems, nor did I receive a prescription or "script" for anything at all, but they billed me as a sick visit because I discussed my sinus issue (after asked about it by the NP) and I received very high bills for both the visit and the blood work drawn when a wellness visit is fully covered by my health plan (should have paid zero out of pocket). After complaining several times to the office about this, finally spoke to the doctor 6 months later who said I was being "childish" for telling her that this was a fraudulent practice. While she erased the bill for the office visit, I was still stuck paying the high blood work bill and another office visit. They do not give you your blood work results over the phone, and make you come in, wait forever to speak to someone, and then bill you as a sick visit. After paying the bills, I received a DEBT COLLECTION notice from a debt collection agency when I paid everything on time. Hang on to your payments and make sure they are all documented. Fortunately, I had proof of payment and was able to provide it to the debt collection agency. There are some shady-practices going on at this doctor's office from the time you walk in the door to the billing service. Avoid this doctor. read more
