By comparison, my 12/10/2025 email to Life Line, seen only by Life Line, is *still* awaiting a response. In my view, the Life Line response to my yelp review was performative, and left a lot to be desired: - Calling the Membership department was a waste of time before, so in what way would it be different now? - The response claims that an email notice was sent, advising that the One Life membership program was set to renew. we got there at 12:15. Our appointment was 12:35 there was 12 people sitting in chairs waiting. We waited 30 minutes before we were checked in and we sat there and sat there for an hour and a half people were still coming in every 10 minutes behind us. Nowhere to sit for people walked out after an hour and a half and never been seen. They kept $50 for each one of those people I wanted to leave also but I couldn't afford to waste $50 each for myself and my husband. If I could give a '0' I would. they contacted my 85 year old mother in May 2024. She thought Life Line Screening was part of her primary care doctor's process and proceeded to provide them with her discover card to pay the $227.00 fee. Since I am her POA for finances and healthcare, I saw the charge on her discover card in 2024. I immediately contact Life Line and explained the situation. I provided them POA, which they just confirmed on a call today they are in receipt of. Around June 2024, I contacted Life Line to request the cancelation of the charge as my mother did not know what she was doing or was lead to believe this was part of her standard care ordered by her Primary Care Physician. I requested all of her information be deleted from their system and to never contact her again. They confirmed it would be taken care of. I do have the credit card statement where they refunded the initial $227.00 charge in May 2024. The fault lies with me not ensuring the recurring annual payment of $197.00 would be removed as well. Come to think about it, I am not sure I even knew one existed. To my defense, when you are taking care of an elderly widowed woman with many medical issues, my focus is on her health. I should have never trusted Life Line Screening to live up to their end of the agreement and stop the recurring annual payments. Fast forward to June 2025 when I saw a recurring charge of $197.00 from Life Line Screening again. I now disputed directly with my mom's credit card company. Life Line's response was that the $197.00 charge was valid. If it was valid, why do you have my mom's POA and refunded the $227.00 back in May 2024? Advise: (1) Avoid this company unless your doctor advises you. I have been wanting to leave a review for this "rip off" company and for years they controlled all the sites with their name. For example, my one and only test with them showed "significant osteoporosis" yet a subsequent bone density was totally without problems. In addition, they once sent me another person's records. There was no one to call about it. So I destroyed her records/report. Someone else might have taken advantage. They kept calling and calling and now years later have gotten our email. They never give up. Stick with your primary doctor. This screening is useless for patients in my opinion but it must be QUITE profitable for Lifeline Screening. read more

My wife signed up for this service and I went a long to keep marital bliss. She told me that we will be going to get medical screening to make sure we are healthy. Again, even thought i get an annual physical i wanted to keep wifey happy and went along. When I looked up the directions it showed that we were going to a Hotel????Ok I played along. Sure enough we go to a mid level hotel and follow the signs to the "waiting room" which was hotel chairs lined up in the hotel conference room with the administrator (very unpleasant) taking your name and asking medical questions in front of everyone. When your name is called you are walked to another conference room with cloth dividers that spit up the different tests you go to. When you walk through you see and hear people getting their tests and listening to the medical questions and answers given. Very Uncomfortable because of obvious privacy concerns. This is a an annual medical physical with the exception you are doing it in front of a bunch of strangers doing theirs. Ick I tried several times to reach the CEO David Bruggeman to relay this experience and his assistant said that he has received my messages and would call back. Don't trust Life Line Screening. My family went for testing and there were 4 of us. My 22-year-old son came back with calcification in his carotid and me 55, grandma 78, spouse 57 all came back clear. Was so shocked that my 22-year-old son had calcifications that I took him to a cardiac clinic to have the test repeated and he came back clear. I feel like they switched the results with my spouse who had calcifications on his last coronary artery calcification test several years prior. When I provided Life Line Screening with the test results they didn't seem to care at all. Would not trust this company for accurate results. Your health is too important to entrust it to a company that doesn't care whether information is accurate or not. read more

Beware of this company. My experience with Lifeline Screening was a horrible, frustrating, sickening one. They set me up with their "Wellness Gold VIP" plan and quoted me $119 for the screening. They asked me if I also wanted to include kidney and liver screening and I said yes. They didn't inform me that that would cost another $100 so, when I got the bill (prior to my screening appointment), I called them and they took the liver and kidney screening off. When I say I "I called them", I mean it took multiple calls where I was on hold for at least 20 minutes each time, and after 20 minutes, it would send me to voicemail. I would then leave a voicemail and call back number and no one from that organization ever called me back. Then the corona virus hit and I did not want to go to a public place so I called a week in advance to cancel the appointment. Again, put on hold and eventually shunted to voicemail where I left my cancellation message and a call back number, and no one ever called back. I had been put on a monthly payment plan and they charged my credit card $19.95. After the frustrating experience of never being able to reach anyone and after leaving at least 3 voicemails with callback numbers and never a return call, I decided to cancel everything with them. It took multiple phone calls, totalling at least 2 hours on hold, to finally get a human on the phone. That person told me "since you're a Wellness Gold VIP member, there are no refunds". Their website says "If you need to cancel your screening, a full refund is issued if you call at least 2 days prior to your appointment", which I had done. I kept reading that to her and she kept insisting, with no explanation, that "there are no refunds for Wellness Gold VIP members"... So I cancelled through my credit card company. These people might provide a helpful and important service, but their policies, customer service, and procedures suck big time, and they LIE. Life Line Screening had an event on 5/2/24 @ the Westmont Park District that was absolutely AMAZING! I was mailed an invitation to basically be a part of something that I personally thought was life changing. Preventive health screenings are extremely important, and I called and scheduled an appointment right away. The technicians were extremely professional and very thorough about the processes and what they were specifically screening for. Imani, Galesa, and Yvette all had their hands full with such a huge turnout. But they handled it like PROS!!! This was the first time that I had the opportunity to be a part of something like this, but it definitely won't be the last! The beautiful young lady who checked everyone in was even performing screenings as well. She was AWESOME! Very friendly and handled it all very well. I will most certainly share the importance and mind easing experience with all of my family and friends. I read the Yelp reviews on Lifeline screening and was very wary of going. I went to the one that was held in Huntley Illinois and although they processed 85 customers that day, I thought it was well run. I was in and out in less than 90 minutes. Everyone, and I mean everyone that worked there was kind and professional. I could tell that they were working as quickly as they could without sacrificing any quality. I had the four tests run, which were the neck, arms and legs, stomach and EKG. They were all absolutely wonderful people and I even got to speak to some nice people who were waiting just like I was. I noticed that a lot of the patients waiting thought that they were going to start their appointment at their appointment time. But that's not how it works. They call you by your name when they get to your appointment time, and register you. Then you go sit back down, and as the different stations have an opening they call your name to that station. So I repeat, your appointment time is not the start of your appointment but in a low populous area like Huntley, you will get in and out in 90 minutes or less so stay patient and bring a book! read more

This is the worst "medical" experience I've ever had. The first tech yelled at me because I wanted to take a picture of my own legs while getting the PAD screening. The next tech was brand new and didn't know where abdominal aortic artery is so she fumbled around trying to find it, and then another tech came to help her do the test. The helper tech had to tell her multiple times to refresh the screen. The new tech said a few times: Oops, I keep forgetting. I think it was her first day on the job. Not very confidence inspiring. I got off the table and asked if I could see the images she was seeing. She said no. Then she yelled at me for getting off the table on the wrong side and told me to get back on the table and got off on the other side. What difference does it make? The table is behind a screen with easy access from either side. Ugh. Yuck. I feel gross and like I need to take a shower after this experience. This sure feels like a scam. One more thing: Life line sets up in a church and my car was the only car in the parking lot. Apparently, other googled to learn more about this operation than I did before I signed up. read more

My review is not about the quality of their services but their daily business practices. After multiple reminder notices, I showed up at my prescribed location (30 minutes from my home) right on time only to find that I was #12 in line to begin my screening. I had another appointment after LLS and it was apparent that there was no way they could complete my screenings in time for me to make the next appointment. So, I told the sign-in associate that and left. When I finally got home, I sent in a note via their email system explaining my situation and asking for a refund. It took 2 weeks to respond no -- with one of those cheery notes saying "thanks for contacting us and we are constantly working to improve our relationships with our clients." But the refund policy ends 48 hours in advance of your appointment. They did offer me a credit for future use. So, if you want to work with a company that demands payment upon scheduling, poorly manages its customer throughput, will likely make you wait excessively long for your services, and then refuses you a refund when you can't accommodate their inadequacies, then Life Line Screening is right for you. But never for me again! I hope this review costs them at least one client in return for the $135 they cost me. read more

I understand that COV-19 has put a damper in healthcare around the country, but all my other appointments with my doctors and dentist have been honored. The first screening appointment I had with lifeline screening was in March. I understood, the pandemic ! The 2nd appointment I had, they cancelled. The 3rd appointment I was scheduled for they changed the location the night before. It was at a location which is the most congested part of town with no parking and an abundance of people with no social distancing. 12 miles away from the original location ! I give up ! Tells you they can test for liver, kidney, and prostrate and when you click on the links, you are offered the Stroke, Vascular, Heart Rhythm with Osteoporosis screening for $149 and additional Annual Key Health - 6 for Life and C-Reactive protein screening for $99. But when you arrive for your appointment, they UPSELL you to the liver, kidney, and prostrate screening for an ADDITIONAL $180. The liver, kidney, and prostrate screening are not offered online but the "Annual Key Health" screening makes it look like you have purchased it. This causes stress at the screening especially when most of us can't speak to the names of the test just that we want specific screening that they have carefully decieved you on just to upsell you at the screening itself. I had a 9.40 appointment and when I arrived, 4 people were outside waiting, no seats- couldn't go in and was told they were short staffed and about a 2 hour wait. And, even though I had an appointment, if I left I would lose my place in line. No available appointments later, but if they were already 2 hours behind I wouldn't think they could have seen me anyway. After that, my wife was called and it took another 30 minutes to get through the tests. The workers there were very nice and seemed very helpful. Life Line Screening called me Friday, 8/3/18 and I made an appointment for Monday, 8/7/18 at 11:50AM. I arrived at 11:40AM and stood at the sign that said "wait here". After 10 minutes, I was finally acknowledged and a woman asked my name, checked it on a sheet and told me to sit and wait for my name to be called. In my time there waiting, I watched a few people leave in disgust and a man tell off the Staff that he had waited over an hour! And he left. I was going to wait, no matter how long it took. Then, after 50 minutes waiting, names were being called for people whose appointments were AFTER mine (I know because we talked about how long we waited and the time of our appointments) AND they came in AFTER I did. At 12:50PM, after waiting 70 minutes since I walked in the door, they called yet another women's name who came in LONG AFTER me. That was it! Enough was enough! This was now beyond ridiculous! I left and called Lifeline's Customer Service to tell them everything that had happened. I did not hear the staff tell anyone that they were running over an hour behind. I watched the Staff's reaction to the people who walked out and it was an "I don't care" attitude. I watched as they gave elderly people a tablet (iPad?) and tell them to fill the forms out. You could tell that some never used one in their lives, as one woman kept saying that it wasn't working. No Staff offered to help them. I saw a man who was waiting; tell them that he was diabetic and looked like he was going to fall to the floor. They took him behind the curtains. I don't know how they are in business, unless they just grossly overbook appointments, then run an hour or more behind. They wanted me to pay with a credit card over the phone when I made the appointment. I am so glad that I didn't pay over the phone! They lost 4 customers that I saw, including myself in the hour and 10 minutes that I was there waiting to fill out the paperwork! I don't know how much longer it would have taken to go through the 4 tests that I scheduled. Now I am reading other reviews...Wishing that I had read them BEFORE making the appointment. I have used this company for two years now and have really appreciated it. Other than a finger prick, the screenings are noninvasive. I drive up to NH to take the tests I can't get in MA. I don't believe that anyone can call these tests 'dangerous" in any way, shape, or form! Give me a break! The only people that "complain" are the ones that want to make up excuses for not investing their money in their health. Can a test come back false positive or false negative, sure. Like any test can. But I would rather follow up on a false positive than know nothing ever and then die of an aneurysm or stroke. And if you get tested annually, a false negative will come out positive the next time, most likely.
