I have chronic pain due to a car accident from 2015. About a year ago, my pain increased, and my doctor referred me to the pain clinic. This is where I met Dr. Elbaridi. Dr. Elbaridi has fantastic bedside manner. He listens and discusses all treatment options in detail. I chose to do acupuncture, and Dr. Elbaridi referred me to Stacy Propp. I went to Stacy after the New Year, and didn't have time to write a review then because I was in the process of switching jobs. I saw her today because my pain came back. Hence, I am writing my review, which is long overdue. Stacy is just as wonderful as Dr. Elbaridi. Great bedside manner, listens well, and explains all of her treatment options in detail. Stacy is wonderful, and on my first visit, I had to give her a hug, because I left there feeling better than I did walking in. My acupuncture treatments consist of acupuncture first, then cupping, to help release the stagnation further, and third, acupressure seeds in my ear. When I am in pain, I can press on them for relief. I highly recommend Dr. Elbaridi, and Stacy Propp. I truly feel comfortable and at ease with them, and will continue to see Stacy for pain maintenance. read more

I wish i could give this place zero stars. I could not get in touch with ANYONE to talk about my test results (COVID). When I called 7 times, the doctor finally called me back. He was short and said to get follow up tests in a week. I came in to get the follow up test and some young kid, who was clearly not trained, jammed a needle in my arm and just left it here while no blood came out. It hurt TERRIBLY. I asked him to take the needle out. Then another girl tried it and got a good vein but I was scarred by the previous technician. When my follow up results came back, the doctor scheduled a follow up appt with me. At 2 pm, he never called. I called FOUR TIMES TODAY. I finally got in touch with the doctor and he asked me what I needed. Ummmm, for you to give me my test results? While he did that he started talked to someone else on the other line. I have never ever had a worse experience with a medical service. Go somewhere else. You won't get the support you need. read more

My fiance and I went to Loop Medical Center on 11/12 to get tested for COVID-19. First, it seems that anyone is allowed inside the facility without prior questioning or a temperature check. Thankfully everyone is wearing a mask but I overheard someone say they had a sore throat, and someone else said they are experiencing symptoms. While those people were told to wait outside, it seems odd that they were allowed inside in the first place. Second, when I was done taking my test I accidentally dropped my swab on the seat. I immediately told the nurse and asked if I needed to take a new test. They said, "no, I'll just sanitize the seat." Lol, okay? Anyway, The last thing that struck me as odd was that my fiance received his test results within 3 hours! It has been a week and I'm still waiting to get my results back. I understand they are extremely busy, and cases are spiking in Chicago, but I have a hard time understanding how our test result times are so different, especially when we went together. I truly feel for the nurses and appreciate them putting their lives on the line for us, but I do not think it's worth getting tested if it takes this long to get results. read more

I got my Covid PCR test but cannot get any results in the next week. The officier promised that I can get the result in 1 hour. But in the next whole week I cannot get any results on the website, from email, or message. I have left Chicago and don't have time to go back to the office. I called them 6 times, no one answered and no one called me back. This is the worst medical service I have met. This laboratory is an impostor, they just take your money and do nothing. read more

After being made aware that I may have had potential exposure to COVID19, I did a quick search online for testing centers near me. Being just a few blocks from my apartment and others positive reviews I contacted Loop Medical to get a testing appointment scheduled. And I am so glad I did because the entire process was smooth and seamless. I was able to make an appointment via their website, just a day before. About 30 minutes before my appointment I received a text with a link to fill out all my information and provide insurance. So when I arrived all my information was already in their system, and I did not have to touch anything. I was the only person in the waiting room, which was very clean. After only waiting about 5 minutes, a nurse popped out, and escorted me back to the testing area. In an effort to limit our interactions, she provided me the q tip to which I placed into my nose to collect the sample and then put into the sterile testing tubes. They also take a sample of your blood for the antibodies test, which was quick and painless! The whole experience took less than 15 minutes. The two nurses that I spoke with were both very nice and pleasant. The best news, the entire thing was free! With testing centers like this, I believe everyone should get tested if they believe to have come in any contact with someone who may be infected. It was such an easy, seamless process. I've already told many of my friends about my positive experience and encouraged them to make an appointment and get tested at Loop Medical. read more

I received a regular COVID test at no charge here over the summer. I recently returned here for a Rapid test which my insurance Blue Cross covers at 100%. I confirmed this was covered in full with my insurance via two phone calls the day before my test. When I went for my test on 10/29/20, Loop Medical Center had a paper posted on their glass stating they are NOT BILLING INSURANCE for Rapid tests, and that all rapid tests cost $100 upfront. Their website also states "RAPID COVID-19 testing is an add-on and will be charged $100 upfront." I needed a rapid due to being exposed to several sick family members, so I paid the $100 for the test and had the front desk email my payment receipt and print out the chart note and lab order so that I could submit this to Blue Cross for reimbursement. Fast forward to today when I checked my Blue Cross EOBs online and see that LabCorp did in fact submit my Rapid Test to Blue Cross, and Blue Cross paid them $100. My EOB states "We Sent Check To: AVALON CLIENT SERVICES LLC". I learned from Blue Cross today that Avalon is the billing company for LabCorp who is processing each of these tests. So, Loop Medical Center's lab received $100 from Blue Cross and $100 from me for a test that I was 100% covered for. They are requiring customers to pay $100 upfront for Rapid tests, and then their lab is submitting these claims and receiving another $100. I got a weird, creepy feeling during my Rapid appointment and my instincts were right. I am in the process of reporting this fraud to Blue Cross and getting my $100 refunded. I strongly recommend you go elsewhere for services. I hope this helps someone avoid the same hassle! read more

I went to the streeterville location for my covid antibody test and nasal swab. It was super easy to book an appointment online. First off the facility was immensely clean which I appreciate. The doctor and the nurse were very supportive, professional, and knowledgeable. The test didn't hurt and was super quick; it took less then 5 minutes to administer with the doctors help. Made an appointment at their new location 432 E Grand to get a COVID antibody test and everyone was very friendly and efficient. Got me in and out in about 15 minutes to take both tests. This office is still being finished up but they do have at least two different exam rooms operational and looked like others would be coming on line shortly. Stay away - Do not trust these people for COVID testing! The test is self- administered and the Q-tips are normal size so they don't get deep enough into the nasal cavities. They found me positive for the virus; got retested at Northwestern and I am negative. The anguish and anxiety they put me and my family through, for no reason, cannot be described. The doctor was supposed to call me the day they informed me of the results, & discuss medications he would prescribe - three days later nothing has happened. Shows how concerned they are about patients. Northwestern told me all these outfits that just declare themselves testing sites are in it for gov't $$$ and do a lousy job. read more

I had the very unfortunate experience of visiting Loop Medical Center in Streeterville that provided free COVID 19 testing. The appointment with Dr. Nidal Elbardi was one of the most unprofessional I have come across in quite sometime. Upon arriving to the location I was asked to wait in a waiting room. The girl that was tested before me came out with her arm bleeding from her blood being drawn. The blood was dripping all over the floor. And in an attempt to clean the blood up the Nurse wiped the blood up with no gloves on her hands and only a napkin, no sanitizer, no mop and water. I suppose that should have been the sign to not proceed with the test. I was ushered back to the back office where the tests were being administered. As I walked into the room I commented on a cardboard cut out of Mayor Lori Light foot, Dr. Nidal Elbaridi took this comment as negative and my 1st interaction with him was rude and abrasive. The test that Dr. Nidal Elbaridi administered was boarding abuse to say the least. The test is uncomfortable but not painful, when given correctly. After two attempts administering the test and several questions about if the test was being administered correctly (that were answered with an extreme annoyance almost anger by Nidal Elbaridi). The final attempt was made. At this time Nidal Ebaridi said the test would take 10 seconds in each nostril. This attempt went smother until I told him I was fine as in the test was going better than the previous attempts with full knowledge that the qtip was in place for the correct test results, Nidal Elbaridi proceeded to push the Q tip further into my nose resulting in pain. I said "that really hurts" and as a response Nidal Elbaridi said "No it doesn't this is the test" He then proceeded to push the Q tip up even further resulting in even more pain. At this point I realized something was off with this test. I pushed his hand away from my nose and stood up and left. I am not sure why out of the 10 or so patients that he gave the test to while I was there that my interaction with this man was so negative. I am writing this review on Yelp and sending a formal complaint to The Medical State Board. read more

I been a patient at Loop Medical Center for about a year now for pain management/treatment. I know that I am in good hands with Dr Elbaridi and his staff. I've had a few pain management procedures along with injections. If you have lower back pain and neck pain come here and he will take care of you. His office is very clean and inviting. Dominique at the front desk is awesome and very helpful each time that I call but I also have 247 access to my patient portal when I need my scripts refilled or if have an NON-EMERGENCY medical question. They always get back to me within a day or so. I'm able to make appts as early as 7am which works great with my schedule. He really loves what he does and cares about his patients... read more

This is in regards to the free PCR test where their site's FAQ said if you get tested before 1pm, the results will be available same day and in another place it says 24 hours from end of business day. Well, tests were done 7 am on Monday and currently still no results by mid-day Wednesday. When we reached out, their generic response was to say to check the portal, which we had been checking often just to see "No test results found". I know we're in a wave but this delay makes the results almost useless not to mention trying to use it for travel. Jan 13 update: it appears they have lost both test samples and have stopped replying to the inquiries. read more

Don't go here - find a more legit place like Northwestern. After testing positive for COVID, the receptionist told me that a doctor would be in touch that day to talk more about care and any questions. Three days later, no doctor has ever called me. I called twice to ask for a status update and was told I was on their list. Then a note was published to my chart referencing follow up care discussed- when no one had ever made an effort to actually call me or discuss anything. This is a test factory but you're screwed if you actually do require care. read more

I will be telling everyone I know to never go here for a COVID test. First, the testing itself was incredibly uncomfortable and unsafe. The whole office itself was in a small, stuffy room with at least 5 staff members milling around. Patients would come in, stand around for a few minutes until we could go to the back of the room, and sit in one of three chairs separated by flimsy dividers. I was ushered to the middle chair, next to someone who was self-administering his own COVID swab. His mask was down and all there was to keep me safe was a thin piece of fabric to my left. I'm not sure why I couldn't be told to wait until the other person's test was finished. Further, the person there to "help" me wandered away mid-instruction, looking bored and not very interested in doing his job. I wasn't even sure I self-swabbed correctly. No one's temperatures were taken and no screening questions were asked. We were all within two feet of each other, masks down. Once the visit was finished, I looked forward to hearing my results within 2-3 days, as guaranteed on the website. It's been nearly a week of refreshing my texts and emails, and nothing. I'm unsure why the testing site would so blatantly boast about such a fast turnaround for results when they can't actually deliver. I sent a message to the office about three or four days after my test and heard nothing. This morning, day 6, I went to look at the patient portal for my records, and there was my result (I checked the night before as well, so I know this was just recently uploaded). I got no notification, no nothing. I'm angry and frustrated at the lack of professionalism, safety measures, and failure to perform their jobs as promised. If you are considering coming here for a COVID test, think again. I would try to cut this place some slack, but I've been to plenty of other testing sites that can actually manage the influx of patients and tests. I'd take a COVID swab to my brain somewhere else before coming back for a self-swab. read more

If I could give them zero stars I would have! They do not make patients wear actual surgical masks to get into the establishment (home-made masks are known to not be as effective and every other medical establishment makes you change into a surgical mask as soon as you get in). Another person showed up saying he had been in close contact with someone who tested positive, they did not make him get tested outside (again, as other medical establishments are doing). Furthermore, when they got the swabs back (both the other patient and I got the swabs done at the same time) they took my sample and the other patient's sample and held them on the same hand without the stickers indicating which sample belongs to whom (because apparently they printed them on the wrong side and had to reprint both!). I insisted that I wanted to see how they put my information with my sample and yet they asked me to leave, they wouldn't print the stickers, wouldn't let me see that they were not mixing the samples and put both together without identifying stickers on a table! Unacceptable, I would be surprised if they didn't get them mixed up and I hope I don't receive a wrong positive simply because they mixed it up with the guy who was in contact with someone with Covid-19. The swabs aren't even actual Covid swabs they are regular cotton swabs and you do the test yourself. You are just touching the inside of your nostril, not going high enough like they ask you do to when you do an actual test with a thin Covid swab because again, they use cotton swabs. On top of this you pay for a rapid test, they promise a result within 15mins and I didn't get a call until 7:30pm (my appointment was at 11am). read more

Went in for covid testing wednesday and never heard back about my results online, by "text and email and call from the doctor" like they claim. fever got worse and worse everyday, till today i'm at 102. finally called in cuz i wanted to know if i was covid positive and the person goes "oh that's weird, you tested positive! you should have gotten an email." i didn't. had the person resend the email over the phone, still didn't get it in my email or in my junk mail. this place just let me be covid positive without giving me 0 update. read more

I've been to Streeterville location twice for the Covid Nasal swab test, and both times have been super easy, quick, and friendly. I scheduled my appointment online ahead of time, and when I arrived the first time I was out within 10 minutes and the second time I was literally out in 4 minutes; suuuuper quick. They took my insurance (Blue Cross/Blue Shield PPO) & the test was free. Got my results within 2 business days. Highly recommend going here for your testing! read more

I had initially written a very positive review for this medical center as I went here for covid-19 testing. I had a good experience in regards to the care. However, they state that both the nasal and antibody test is free. This isn't 100% true as they still filed a claim with my insurance company. Thankfully for me, my insurance covered the whole cost and I did not have to pay out of pocket. However, for somebody else, that may not be the case. If you do have insurance, it's best that you lie to them and tell them that you do not have insurance - that way they can't be sneaky and still try to bill your insurance. read more
