I have taken the CPR & AED course (for trainers and laypeople) twice in the last 3 years with Life Rescue, and enjoyed it both times. In both cases, my instructor was Amer Tobing, and I wouldn't hesitate for a second before taking his course again when my certification expires. Although I've been CPR certified several times, Life Rescue offered more practical information than my previous certs. Amer's background as a firefighter and in emergency medical services shows, as he has a focused, no-nonsense attitude toward assessing an emergency situation and acting. He teaches us to think in a similar manner by addressing and hammering the most important things to know and remember. He also has a sense of humor, and is great at connecting with people, which makes his class more fun than I ever expected. But make no mistake: he takes his job and the subject matter very seriously, and doesn't let jokes overshadow or displace what is most important. I like how he spends a lot of time focusing on the reality of emergency situations vs. textbook scenarios, because there are some things that books won't tell you. Even though I had taken his class before, the second time around, he didn't let me off the hook if I could have performed something better. I really appreciated it, because it's sometimes the little things that can make a difference. Overall, it feels less like a class and more like practicing and discussing with a coach. I learned more each time, and further reinforced what I previously knew. I feel much more confident after having taken his course, would recommend it to anyone, and actually look forward to taking it again in the future. read more

Great class! I was definitely nervous taking my PALs revert after COVID but the facility was clean and the instructors were professional.

My girlfriend is a nursing student and was recommended to renew her CPR with Life Rescue Training from a fellow nursing friend. She said it was simple and to the point. It doesn't bore you with the endless videos and the instructor (Alicia? 16 year firefighter and great humor!) made sure that people were there to learn not fall asleep. Definitely would recommend this class for any CPR/ AED BLS certification! Not to mention, you get your eCard from the American Heart Association sent to you right after class! read more

I obviously wasn't looking forward to spending 4 hours of my Saturday at a CPR/First Aid training, but given that my parents are getting older, my sister and I decided that it would be good for us to be certified in both. So we roused ourselves and along with a large thermos of coffee made our way over to the training center. We were immediately greeted by Alicia. She was the perfect instructor for this type of class - engaging, clearly knew her stuff, and slightly sarcastic at just the right times. As she took us through the course (a mix of watching videos as well as "hands-on" practice on dummies), she also gave us examples and told us stories from her own experience - this definitely helped keep everyone's attention from wandering. We did have a slightly disruptive individual in the class but Alicia handled it perfectly - she acknowledged this individual's comments but quickly moved on with the content. We left with a certificate of completion and the security that in an emergency we'd know what to do next. read more

I completed my CPR training with Life Rescue Training yesterday and was very satisfied. The trainer was very helpful and knowledgeable, especially since he is a firefighter. They also provide us with notesheets, which provides helpful information we can reference to in the future. I will definitely return to renew my certification in the future. read more

Very positive experience in a CPR/AED and First Aid class for laymen. Mr Tobing was very knowledgable - I especially appreciated how pragmatic the instruction was. His hands on experience with the Fire Department and other agencies really shows - he is an instructor who uses these techniques regularly, and it shows. He was able to explain what a first responder should do, what to expect and how to communicate with emergency responders, and what police/fire/EMS will do when they arrive. Very helpful. Mr Tobing explained what to do but also why - at least for me, that helps me remember the information because it makes sense. He also effectively reduced things down to their basic elements - what you'd really need to know to help someone until professionals arrived. Too often, first aid classes over-complicate the instructions and students get bewildered - I think this leads to paralysis in an emergency. Mr Tobing didn't dumb things down - but he was able to zero in on the essential information a first responder needs to know. One of the most useful first aid & CPR classes I've ever taken. Not only did we learn about CPR, we also learned about wrapping a cast due to third-degree burns, and everything imaginable to help a victim that is in trauma. I highly recommend this class to get your CPR certification or renew the certification. I took this class mainly for my health professional career. read more

My family and I have now taken multiple classes with Life Rescue Training over the last couple of years and will happily do so again in the future when we need to renew our certification. They are friendly and pleasant, very professional, and importantly, knowledgeable on the topics they teach. FANTASTIC! Alicia- the instructor made it fun! The class is mixed with lecture/ video/ hands on training. The day before class starts they send you a reminder! My class was full, I thought we weren't going to get out on time but We did! I was recommended through a friend to take my CPR/BLS at Life Rescue Training and I'm glad I did! I took CPR/AED/First Aid training at Life Rescue Training so that I could become a Zumba instructor. The class was excellent - Alicia, the instructor, was professional and shared her first-hand experience. The class is a combination of video, lecture, and hands-on training with mannequins (adult and infant). Snacks and drinks are provided. I would recommend Life Rescue Training to anyone who needs a certification. read more

It's time for CPR/AED First Aid.... ughhhh..... groan..... right? No so with LIfe Rescue Training! I don't think you could find a better CPR/AED First Aid class anywhere. Amer Tobing is a top notch trainer who keeps the class interesting and fun - all the while teaching skills necessary for an emergency. I've had my certificates renewed numerous times over the last 20+ years and would say that none of the courses were as good as the Life Rescue Training course. A breath of fresh air! Responded lightning fast to my request for a skills session that I needed ASAP for a new job. Amer answered the phone on my first call, on a Saturday, from his home. He sent me a link, walked me through signing up for this class in November. He could not have been nicer or more professional. I am a RN and need this for a refresher class. I did not mind driving a few extra miles. This was the Tuesday before Thanksgiving going around 495 and having a 3pm class made the drive, perfect timing. The young lady who led this class was great and concise and met us at our level of getting re-certified as opposed to an 8 hour class with novices. I appreciate this group and would certainly recommend them to Everyone! I am even considering a home class in the winter, for family members, since CPR was performed on my young BIL a year ago, and it was utilized with a few friends' family members. Thank you Amer!
