Yet again our rates have gone up, and service and cleanliness have gone down. Take note of the negative reviews below mine... there is a lack of leadership and staffing on the housekeeping/repair side of the house at this club, management really does nothing to fix it other than raise our rates. Clearly, the feedback from myself and other members goes 100% unnoticed even though they have a canned reply to all the negative reviews. Instead of "continuing the conversation" with members you should be talking to staff or finding new staff. At your rates, members expect top quality. read more

Horrible customer service and technology on app. Put membership on pause due to calf injury , the app failed and I was billed. Asked for some help and was told I needed a Dr note for them to assist me. Am I in 3rd grade gym class? I sent emails to facility and corporate execs including CEO and got zero response. I cancelled my membership and got no attempt at retention. They don't care about the Individuals just the monthly $'s. You would be better off at a local gym that cares or chain at 30 a month with no service vs 230 a month with no service. Lifetime is a joke. read more

This gym is like paradise in the dessert. The facilities are beautiful and the location could have not been better. I have been excited to workout since they opened and have soaked up many of their amenities. The Glute Maxout class is not joke and their pilates class is great! I love the open functional area and the location of the stair-masters near the windows. The staff has been so nice and welcoming and I really enjoy the Lifetime Cafe. I have had several smoothies and bowls and now I think I have too many favorites. I recently got a message with Nessa and she was fantastic - it was one of the best massages I have had. I went there for a pedicure and it was a great experience. I've traveled the world and have enjoyed many spa sessions. It was such an amazing enlightenment to learn that I can receive world class treatment right here in Phoenix Arizona. I just learned barber services is being added and I'm excited to try it out. This place is constantly changing their guest pass policy. If you're charging members over $200 per month and their membership includes a certain number of guest passes per month, they should able to to use those guest passes however they please. Not allowing someone to come in as a guest within 60 days of their last guest pass visit is a JOKE!!! Nice gym but the hospitality aspect needs work. read more

I had a knee injury while playing basketball and found it was a torn meniscus which would require atleast 4 weeks of physical therapy and recovery. They told me I had to bring in a doctor's note to freeze my membership so informed them to go ahead and a cancel. Instead of canceling they decided to give me a month freeze "as a courtesy" for not submitting my health status. Then I received a voicemail asking me for the doctor's note once again. I realized I had been taken for a fool. Had they canceled me when I asked them too I would have received a full refund but now it's too late so they can do as they please. I still went ahead and canceled. I don't care to pay that much money to deal with this kind of thing. You're a healthclub. You're not my employer. I don't need to prove my health concerns or conditions to you in order to cancel or freeze my membership as I am already paying for personal training AND use of the club. That's over 450 dollars. If I'm injured I'm not getting the most of my training sessions or my workouts. So I should be able to choose how to make use of my time and money without having to come to you hat in hand as if I'm begging for time off. read more

This gym is "ok," but for the $300 a month they charge it should be spectacular. I was a member of the Tempe location until I moved, and it's half the price and offers far more ammenities such as tennis and a pool for actual swimming. The equipment at Tempe and most other locations is also far better. It's also extremely crowded and parking is hard to come by during peak hours. read more

I've been more diligent coming to the gym the last 2 months and I feel so much better. The hardest part for me was getting into the routine so I signed up with a personal trainer named John at the biltmore and he's given me exactly what I needed each day. Whether it was a longer warm up or mobility or a hard cardio session or a crazy split squats exercise. I was safety pushed and now I feel like I did 10 years ago. I'm so excited I can't wait to keep going! I have to admit, The first month was brutal. You have to stick with it and it gets better and better. It's the best decision I've made this year. I feel like it's made every other aspect of my day better. I feel it such an advantage to have the faculties this gym has as well. Brand new top of the line equipment. They have everything you'd need and more. Hot tub, cold plunge, sauna, steam room, pool, gym equipment that's sophisticated and good old fashioned squat racks and dumbbells. the staff members are super nice and it's always really clean, I love the amenities! There seems to be no slow time and you often have to wait to use a machine:/ since there is only one smith machine, I had waited nearly an hour since someone did their whole workout on it (nothing wrong with that on their end) just feel like I pay to much to be waiting that long for a machine. read more

THIS GYM DOES NOT TAKE YOUR SAFETY SERIOUSLY OR FOLLOW CORPORATE POLICY. I have been to this gym several times and not once have I seen any staff cleaning equipment after use or periodically. I am not comfortable using any equipment because time and time again I see people who sweat profusely and do not wipe down equipment after use. I have spoken with management and staff regarding this and the excuse is always the same, "We had call outs" or "We are understaffed in the cleaning department". Today it was inferred that personal trainers aren't even required to make sure their clients clean equipment. There are NO signs asking individuals to wipe down their equipment after use, except for a small sign at the mat wall. There is absolutely no excuse for this. Barring the fact that there is a pandemic still going on, a gym is a breeding ground for bacteria. For the amount of $$$ this gym charges, you would expect the red carpet rolled out for you each time you walk up. read more

We had been going month-month, paying a small fee to "pause" our membership and recently, the day after we became Empty Nesters, we decided to go back full time. I absolutely LOVE Lifetime on Camelback and 26th street in Phoenix!!!!! Valentin, who has been there since this location opened right before the pandemic, has been AMAZING! With all the ups and downs of the last year he has been very helpful with freezing and unfreezing my membership and keeping me updated on mask policies and class schedule changes. I was visiting my daughter who recently relocated to Phoenix. As a current Lifetime member I visited this club as a guest and also wanted to check it out for my daughter who was thinking about joining. The first day I was really impressed and told her she should join. The second day, totally different story. I was 10 min into my workout on the elliptical when personal trainer Jose C bumped into my elliptical while he was setting up his GTX class. After telling me I "hit him" I kind of laughed it off thinking he was kidding but he was dead serious. After repeating again that I "hit him" ( and dramatically rubbing his leg) he told me that I had to move because I was in his way. This elliptical was not part of the class he was teaching so I wasn't on something he needed. I told him that I like this particular elliptical and that there wasn't another one available and he continued to tell me I had to move. If I wasn't in shock over the fact this was happening I would not have moved and told him to go take it up with management since they placed the elliptical there. I'm still furious at myself for moving. Needless to say I told my daughter what happened she will not be joining a gym where the staff treats customers this way! read more

Such a beautiful and clean gym. The staff is all amazing and welcoming. Attentive to their members needs. There was one staff member that stands out and that is Val. Super Attentive and answers any questions you have. Makes you feel comfortable and really takes the time to walk you step by step on certain workouts. It's a breathe of fresh air having someone walk you through when you are just starting out on your fitness journey. Posting this review after reading others and having 2 months experience at the club. The place is over subscribed. Too many times when classes are not available or the gym is packed. The shut down of the rooftop for super bowl week was annoying. A call to the general manager was not returned. In retrospect my experience at LA FITNESS was better. For an upscale place like Life Time it is disappointing. BTW I was a member, years ago at Life Time on Mayo Boulevard and found that to be a better experience. read more

All around this place is awesome! The facility is beautiful, there are plenty of machines and classes for all fitness levels, and it's surprisingly not very intimidating. I was expecting to feel out of place because I'm not "Scottsdale fit", at least not yet, but there are people of all body types there just doing their thing. I love how helpful the staff is. Patrick at the front desk handled an issue with my billing quickly and with no hassle. The instructors are awesome! They tell you variations for all fitness levels each class and offer constructive criticism to keep you safe without pointing you out to the whole class all while encouraging you to push yourself to get the most out of your time there. The only issue I have is the outdoor classes. I was so excited to see how many outdoor classes there were! Obviously during these COVID times going to the gym is a little risky so I was all about being able to enjoy our wonderful weather here in AZ and get a safer workout in. Unfortunately outdoor classes don't require masks though. Really defeats the point. It would be one thing if everyone was legitimately kept 6 feet apart, but that wasn't the case. Inside they're doing a great job! There are constantly people walking around wiping things down and just about everyone is wearing a face mask (except the people wearing shields without masks, which isn't great, but whatever.) I just wish the "Mask Required" mandate applied to the entire facility so I could optimize my membership and take advantage of all the amazing classes offered. read more

So I have belonged to lots of clubs in NYC, Chicago, Phoenix etc -I even belonged to an original lifetime club in Minneapolis - I really love the Biltmore Lifetime - the vibe is great, perfect size, great equipment. But I really love my trainer Shaiann S - used many trainers over the years -she is the best -really thoughtful about where I am and what I need to do to progress - even within a workout - and it builds beautifully - and Nick who leads the PT program is exceptional as well - great vibe and world class training (Shaiann) - could not recommend more read more

I joined in January 2023 and I am very happy with my choice! Love the ARORA classes! AquaFit and HydroTraining are my favorites. Albert, Janelle, Dani, and Shaun are all great! Love the upbeat music they use. Some sails or shaded areas over the pool might be nice at least in the summer months. Also, I highly recommend ARORA 360 with Alexandra. I'm not a jogs person ur have heard great reviews. The pilates fusion classes and ARORA dance classes are also very good! The club is clean, staff is helpful and friendly, and class selection top notch. Not a big fan of the new 2 hour cancellation policy. Maybe an hour? I'm really glad I made the decision to come to the Biltmore location. The personal trainers have been phenomenal, especially Michelle. They have a wide variety of classes to choose from and the rooftop pool is a great hang out spot. Instead of a sweaty gym, it's more like visiting a fancy spa that makes you actually want to incorporate workout sessions into your daily routine. Mixed feelings on this place. Great amenities but the weight room is always packed. Some days it's hard to get a machine I want to use. Also, is it just me or have the number of classes offered as part of membership gone down and the number of extra cost classes gone up? All of those issues are normal gym issues but for me the biggest thumbs down is the volume of the music in the classes. As someone who goes to a lot of loud events, I'm used to noise but I've been in a class the was ear shattering. Seriously unhealthy levels. And Lifetime must be aware of it because there were foam earplugs available for the class. This seriously needs to be addressed by management. read more

I am SO happy that gyms are open again & even happier to come back to this one! Brand new at Biltmore Fashion Park this gym was built for luxury. I love that they have hot & cold tubs in the locker room for contrast plunging and the rooftop pool is great for catching some sun after a workout! I love the amenities at this spot. I know this is different kind of Lifetime Fitness model but It didn't get 5 stars (even though I really do love it) because unlike most Lifetimes, it does not have the rockwall for climbing, no racquetball courts & no indoor pool for people who just want to swim laps. Paying for a diamond membership with some of the gym features missing is kind of a bummer. Aside from that, I enjoy being a member here! read more

I have been a lifetime member for 15+ years and I'm a loyal member. I usually frequent another location and came to this location recently for my hair appointment. The girl at the front was heckling me in front of everyone if I really had a Diamond membership (which I do) to enter the club, and asked me in front of everyone how much I pay monthly to verify and if I pay $199 a month. This was done loudly in front of everyone. Her coworker looked at my profile and said my membership was valid and told her I can go through. I felt so embarrassed and disappointed. I'm a woman of color and yes I can afford the membership. There are better ways to handle this situation. read more

It beats my expectations in every area. The staff is all so friendly and helpful and the facility is stunning. I've taken a handful of classes and the instructors are very well qualified & full of life! With the opening happening right before Covid and then the riots... they have handled themselves with grace. When we bought our family membership, we were at a diamond location and explicitly asked for whatever membership will grant us access to every gym. So that's what we pay for. I show up to this biltmore location and they say its an "upgraded" gym and that the membership has to be upgraded for my family to go there. Went in for an interview with Mike and he told me that they filled the position and won't be hiring till February which he could have done over email instead I paid $30 for an Uber to get to this interview. On top of that he said they don't hire people that don't have a place. Which is illegal. I wrote this in an email to him that it was highly illegal. Some places won't give you a place to stay until you have a job. I have the credentials for the job, the knowledge base to execute a plan for a client. That's all that is necessary. Doctors treat patients they don't have to have the problem to treat their patients and we are certainly not asking doctors what their home life is like. Overall experience was poor. He didn't give me a tour like other locations had when I interviewed with lifetime athletic. I actually was hired in a different location but I decided to move here. I just felt it wasn't up to lifetime standards and do not wish to interact with this manager in the future. read more
