I just had my one year anniversary as a TriFit member, so it seems like the perfect time for a review. 2024 was a very rough year for me personally, and I was struggling with confidence and setting goals for myself. I've always been athletic but had stayed away from gyms because of the intimidating, self-important, competitive vibe I associate with them. When I was finally ready to set a new goal for myself, I decided I wanted to lift weights to get stronger, knowing it would help me get my confidence back. Google (and a lot of five star reviews!) led me to TriFit. I can't say enough great things about this place. I've gotten so much stronger physically, I've gotten my confidence back and I've made new friends that I spend time with regularly. The trainers are so well educated about form and will push you to push yourself, but they are also kind, caring and outrageously patient. This is the first gym I have truly loved going to. All of the coaches are incredibly helpful, nonjudgemental, kind, and meet you where you are on your journey. The fellow gym goers are also SO NORMAL! Its not a scene, no one is creepy, or showing off. Its just a mix of really great people - ALL AGES, SIZES, and backgrounds. I've been attending TriFit for about 1.5 years, and I still love it as much as I did a year ago. I really like the functional strength workouts and how classes are organized. The coaches are amazing. They're all incredibly nice, supportive, and encouraging. What's great about TriFit is that it's great for people of all abilities, from newbies to experienced lifters. The coaches make sure that every workout is challenging and meaningful, but are willing to help anyone who needs an adaptation or regression. Classes are 45 minutes, and are usually capped at 10 people, so it's never over-crowded, and the coaches can handle being there for everyone in the class. On top of the classes, the community at the gym is great. It's small enough that you're not overwelmed with strangers, and we've made so many friends from people in our classes. 4/2023 update: When I started here, I could barely walk up stairs due to the osteoarthritis pain in my knees. My goal was to build muscle in my legs to try to offset the pain, and get back to my previous level of adventure and activity. Since I started attending Alex's classes in the afternoon and working with Bre of Limitless PT (you get a free session with her, she works in the same building), I have made MASSIVE improvements in my pain level and ability. Because of this, I have been able to increase the number of classes attended. This combined with working with the available nutritionists, I have been able to lose about 10% body fat, and put on able 6lbs of muscle. This place is a game changer. read more

My husband and I joined this gym in May of 2023. We were sold on the premise of a "gym for non gym people." I've been working out at TriFit for two years and have seen incredible results. I'm down about 15 lbs and have been making big gains and can see muscle definition. Vitality Health and Fitness is a small gym that offers personal fitness, group fitness and fitness classes. The classes and the training programs are all varied, challenging, unique and fun. The members are positive, full of smiles and easy-going. The gym is not intimidating at all, the trainers are kind and build programs that suit your personal fitness levels, and the cost is VERY reasonable. Best gym ever! I've tried a lot of gyms/workout programs, and I finally found my place! TriFIT offers everything I ever wanted in a gym and then some! If you think this small, personalized gym is just for the "big" boys, guess again. I am an average build 71 year old woman who has been working out twice a week at Vitality for 9 years. While I'm not interested in winning any body-building contests, I feel like my investment in both time and money has been well worth it and has kept me sharp and active, I have been training with Melissa for 6 years and particularly appreciate her willingness to customize my workout to my level and goals (strength and balance). I love this place. You might ask "why does the free roving large land mammal love a place that makes him sweat so hard that he's puked, twice?" And here's why: if you can get me to yack during a workout from pushing me hard and coming up with exercises I've not done before (which is hard with 4 years in the Army, 17 years of Rugby, and 30 years of riding a bike) then you're doing something RIGHT! My special lady friend got me into the idea of this as a good way to dog stomp one another via a proxy named Jeff. Jeff is our trainer, and if you'll pardon my digression, allow me to share with you about Jeff. We have this song in Rugby called "The S&M Man." Its a less than politically correct song about a special person, usually someone who trains us or who is a hell of a rugger him/herself, who is so sick, so wrong, that he makes pain fun and delightful. And I use the word "pain" in the best way. Pain, after all, is just weakness, and in my case old pizzas, leaving the body. Jeff is amazing. He gets it done in 30 minutes to the point where I don't really want to do anything the next day. Its in and out, slam, bam, thank you ma'am with Jeff and Vitality. Vitality is by far, hands down, the BEST place to work out. It's a small gym with personal training, group training, and fitness classes, and nutritional consultation, and sports-oriented stretch/massage. The owner and entire staff are super supportive, fun-loving, and VERY GOOD AT WHAT THEY DO. The clients are friendly and unpretentious. (Check, and check.) I have shopped around (just out of curiousity - I plan to never leave) and the packages/classes are good value. And for your money, you get a program tailored specifically for your body and your fitness goals, and you get measurable results - which I can't say for my previous memberships at big box gyms where I'm left to my own devices and improper technique. (Check.) Did I mention I drive 30 minutes each way to get my glutes kicked? Sure, I like the company, but the before/after is what has kept me coming back, for over three years now. Sure, you can find cheaper fitness elsewhere. You may find personal training cheaper elsewhere. If you are looking for a tailored program with measurable results, in a format that doesn't suck up hours upon hours of your week with an uncertain outcome, you should consider personal training (at Vitality ofcourse) that focuses on weight and resistance training. In 30 minutes at Vitality I get a whole-body workout. I get results. (You can work with the staff to determine the program that is best for you. Every body is different as you know.). You will see results. Check. I love that Scott doesn't let me give up, that he constantly comes up with new forms of torture, I mean exercises, to keep it fresh, and he is quick to correct improper techinique to insure the maximum results and avoid injury. Although I consider my Vitality time "me time", I also love that I can bring my kid with me if I need to so I can still get my workout in. I won some free sessions at a fundraiser over three years ago, and have never looked back. Scott helped me get back in shape after my first baby, and worked with me throughout my entire second pregnancy. I was back in my own jeans six weeks after having my son. (Check). I credit the training (and proper nutrition) for this. With the proper guidance, weight and resistance training works people. And ladies, NO, you're not going to get big/bulky. That's a myth. Great place. As one reviewer said this is NOT a meat-market. Smart trainers, great use of space and allow you to get in and get out quick with 30 minute workouts. The trainers here don't rely on machine circuits like many other gyms. At Vitality you are using dumbbells, kettlebells, TRX, barbells, medicine balls and even flipping tires or hitting the heavybag.
